Right now i am on firmware version 3.32.531.14. because i am using the 1.2.2 arhd rom but going to switch because the other one seems more popular. And it says for all 7.x roms it recomends to flash the radio listed.

Hi,
You cannot install radio/firmware if you are s-on.
You should still be fine to use the latest series of ROMS.

Hi,
I would not worry about it too much.
Almost all the current batch of ROMS will run on your radio/firmware.
HTC are certainly not very forthcoming with any updates
Besides,s-off is not such a hard thing.

If it is in the settings/about phone, then all you are seeing is the new build prop script.

Hi,
The only way ,as I said, will be to s-off your phone.
What number of bars did you have when you were on the t-mous version?
Go to the market and get the app called "GetRil".
It may be that you just have a mismatched radio/ril combination.

Enjoy!
So the only change is R ---> R2?
Ok, let's open it and see...
System.img is exactly the same. Ufff... I was afraid that I will have to spend another 24h upgrading my ROM
Radio.img is the only difference.
I think this is the RUU to match the OTA, as previously released RUU didn't match OTA when in comes to radio.
Isnt this the same radio though as the one in the other thread?
For the dumb people hereee....
This is the full RUU of the R2 OTA update.
So not the update.... but the full ROM!!

Could someone rip the radio for flashing please? Or is that the same aswell just renamed due to it being a RUU?

Well, I can't tell you which difference there is, but I have checked something: Both have the same size, but R(1) of the radio has an MD5 checksum of...
d3809958c8fad8211d20f97eeede2a1a
...whereas the radio of R2 has a sum of...

So there is indeed a difference between those radio images. Don't ask me which...

Hi,
Yes,it can.
But you are going from one base to another.
So,you will have to Super wipe BEFORE installing the new ROM.
Main difference are the visuals.
You are jumping from Sense 3.0 to Sense 3.5
3.5 is prettier, but it is a "TEST" ROM,so there are a few minor bugs(nothing serious)
When I left it(on 4.1.9) it was stable

Hi,
Careful with the terminology..
You now have "4EXT" not ext4....2 different things.
4EXT is an upgraded and better version of CWM.
They are fully interchangeable.
+ the latest beta is a touch screen UI.
How cool is that?
ARHD 6.0.0 is Ice-Cream-Sandwich (ICS)
It is the way things are going.

Look HERE
ADB and SDK go on your PC.
Another important thing,for future reference.
Did you say you had 4EXT?
It contains an MD5 checksum checker.Use it for all radio images.A bad image will almost certainly brick your phone.
Always do a check before you flash any radio/firmware or ROM.

Your RUU should be for sensation (not LE), Europe, your original baseband.
You may be able to identify it from the list above from these 3 pieces of information although you ideally match it to the software version also.

Hey, I have backup of my original firmware. How can I use those files the right way since i have s-off, firmware, radio,.....
OK there's a RUU in the aforementioned dev sticky that seems to match to me:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.2_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_
So that's for standard sensation, Europe (don't see any IT specific RUU except a Voda branded), no carrier branding, for your radio version quoted above. That's what I would use.

You should compare the basebands not the hboot. Check under settings -> about. You can update your baseband to the latest by flashing the newer radio. But keep your hboots where they are for now, DON'T use a OTA update or RUU.

If it's somewhere in Europe (sparda?! - maybe Germany ) the latest radio is 1.06s.50.02.27_2_10.08.50.04L.
Anyway you should keep your current hboot so. Just flash the radio. If you want, send me a PM and I'll give you a link to a cwm backup I made right after my RUU Update. It's untouched (no personal settings etc.), only with Super SU in \system, so you will have everything like as you'd run the RUU update and rooted your device.

I appreciate your advise. I discovered that I am also on 1.06 HBoot and was thinking that I had to do an OTA update to get the latest radio. So now I should be able to find a radio update and flash it in CWM.
-------------
Half an hour of searching later, I've come to conclude that the only way to update the radio is via the RUU update process. I haven't found any newer radio that is flashable. So I don't really think there is any way to keep my 1.06 hboot AND update the radio.
if you are using cwm you need to fastboot it if using twrp recovery you can flash thru recovery

You didn't search hard enough. On hboot 1.06 you can flash radios using twrp, no ruu necessary. I know because I did it, and so did many others.

The radios on the Cyanogenmod site (first link) are from the 1.78 base. I am using TweakDroid 7.1 which is from the 2.21 base and so I want the most recent radio that goes with that base. Your second link to the dropbox gives me hope... What is it? Dated July 19, would this be the one from the newer base?
Thanks!
Yes that is the newest
The other link is to how to fastboot radio. Fastboot into recovery per instructions. Be careful.

Hi,
May I suggest trying a different kernel.
Make a nandroid backup, and flash a FAUX KERNEL
Install the same way as a ROM.
same here. tried every possible combination. couldn't get it to work. i hope someone figures this out. i'm unable to use wifi for over 2 months now.
Try running an RUU.

Also tried that. Went completely stock and still no luck. Tried everything that comes to mind. Custom kernels, hboots, roms etc. There was one method that made it work temporarily. And can't remember what it was. After the phone rebooted wifi was gone again. So I'm sure it's not a hardware issue cuz it worked for a brief period of time.

I guess until a developer faces with the same problem we're out of luck...
Tried wifix?
Also if supercid change back to normal cid and try ruu again (its a guess but iirc this worked for one)
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
Wifix doesn't work at all. It's not a regional issue
