[Q] Is my Skyrocket Bricked?? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello Guys,
I was updating the TWRP on my Note2 & Skyrocket, and mistakenly flashed Note2's TWRP on Skyrocket.
Now, it won't boot. I can't get into download mode either to flash the correct TWRP using ODIN. I think I bricked my phone.
Is there any way I can try to recover it?
Thanks for your time and help.
-Cheers

If it shows as qhsusb_dload when you connect it to the computer then its bricked and needs jtag.

Does odin recognize your device? If it does, flash the stock Rom. Don't flash twrp that won't fix it. It'll mess it up more.

no signs of life(nsol)=hardbricked
jtag repair needed
its all in the q&a sticky

ODIN will not fix your issue because Note 2 recovery was flashed on another partition on your phone(which is for something else , not recovery) , so you lost that partition ... unless you have a backup for the individual partitions of your device before you did that , you're screwed .. sorry to say that ...

I also think that it is hard bricked, because it won't show anything, no vibration, no sound, no lights.
PC doesn't detect it.
I will look into the options for hard brick repair. Any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

Thanks to all for your inputs and suggestions. I sent my phone to Mobiletechvideos for JTAG repair and they fixed the issue with my Skyrocket.
I would highly recommend giving them a try in case anyone bricks their Skyrocket like me.
Cheers to All.

Does your device wipe all the data when restarting device?
If so, I recommend you system upgrade, if your device isn't on any rom, go Settings>About phone>Software update.
If the device asks for signing in, just sign in and the update should continue.
If your device doesn't update, download & install Samsung Kies on your computer.
When connecting phone to the computer, it should start system update.
WHEN UPDATING DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR PHONE FROM COMPUTER OR SHUT DOWN THE PHONE!!!
For me using odin (if you know what you're doing, if not read the guides about it) is much safer rather than kies.. kies caused alot of hard bricks..

Last time i checked Galaxy sl i9003 has hard-reset button so it never gets fully bricked
have you bricked it intentionally to test the "hard reset" button? if so, please post that info in the two threads that need it (wrong fw and factory reset button location threads). otherwise, it's just a guess that it'd work, because nobody that's flashed the wrong fw has been able to unbrick it using that button yet

Hi everybody and sorry in advance for my English.
My brother tried to convert to ext4 the tab2 from cwm6 to resolve the bad laggy problem, and after that the tab is completily dead, no recovery mode, no download mode, no boot, just a black screen.
There is some way to restore boot to flash back a ROM without call assistence.
Any help will be realy appreciated ....
The file he used is EXT4 Format ALL (formats everything) from this thread:

Thanks for any help
The link you posted is bad, try to copy it again.
In my understanding, every device that's bricked and cannot go into recovery is totally dead. Hope I'm wrong in this case.
Do your pc recognize it when you connect it to the usb?

I don't know if you can unbrick your tab, but you should read disclaimers like this, especially when they're typed in red caps...

When i saw this i sadly started cracking up... but at least its unbrickable, if it connects under download mode then just flash to stock viaodin.
Sent either from my p113 (gtab 2 7.0) or i997 (Infuse)

If you can get into fastboot then don't use Odin. Assuming you have fastboot working use these

I guess his phone bricked when he took the battery out when booting. And, when he uses Resurrector, he chosse galaxy s option, but not the Nexus S, then, the phone goes to download mode witch one always give the pit partition error.
Nobody (i guess) really know why this bug happens, but in the most of cases, it's about emmc, if you have an old phone, you can try, maybe...
How difficult is the hardware mod...I have zero experience with soldering but rather than having a dead brick would take chances ...tried taking phone to few phone guys in Toronto who had no clues...so thinking of trying hardware mod myself...would appreciate any guidance

Don't do it then. You will destroy your phone completely.
Just look out for someone (in real-life) that can do it for you.

ClockworkMod Recovery Stuck in Boot

Hello. A couple of days ago, I rooted my phone. I have no idea what happened, but my phone did a complete reset. I couldn't download anything as it followed with a -110 error. I flashed my phone with a ROM using CWM, and it worked  ! But I used the wrong Android version. So, I tapped the install button to update my phone. Well now i'm stuck on the CWM boot screen and I have no idea how to pass it. I plug my phone into the computer, and my computer makes the noise to signify that it was plugged in. I want to reload the ROM but I can't access the phones files. Iv'e Google soooo much, but I can't seem to find an answer. My phone is a LG Optimus F3 using Virgin Mobile. I'm kind of a noob to this stuff so help is GREATLYYY appreciated!

Hi guys!
same here! my note was charging and I've found it stucked in samsung logo without any reason. I've tried to install almost every version available of stock rom also from different country but no way. I can install also custom recovery but unfortunately I don't have any custom rom to try to install in my sd card. At the current time I really thinking to move to new note 10.1 2014...I'm afraid is some kinda hardware malfunctions. Any update from you guys with same issue?

Wow now I'm really start to think it is a Samsung and hardware issue I think these tablets weren't made to be usable for more than 2 years smh is anyone else with this issue running lollipop roms? Jc
The same here, My friend just conntect me, that SAMSUNG does not want to cover charges, due to bootloader says SYSTEM STATUS: custom.
And he never did anything with his tablet.
He got angry and Samsung check the hardware and they find that some chip is broken. But still don't want to fix it due to custom issue.
