[Q] help!!

i have rooted my inspire and loaded coredriod desire hd v6.6
my issue is that htc sense will not let me sign in or create a new one.
Anyone have any suggestions??

Htcsense occassionally has issues. I have seen many posts regarding this same problem, and I have experienced it on two different roms over the past twenty four hours, so I am guessing this is the case again.

I suggest you give us a little more information.. Can you log into Sense online?
Are you getting an error? Is it force closing?
I would prolly just reflash the rom and clear Cache and delvik before doing so.

when i create a new one it says phone unable to connect. when i just login it says sign in error. online says down for maintenance. I dont know how long its been like that but i havent been able to log on for 2 days now.

I had the same problem when I installed that rom but once I installed another rom I didn't have that problem - so it might be rom specific

[Q] Screen will not wake up after phone calls...

So here is my problem, it doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes after I make a phone call and finished with the call, I just turn off the screen and then put it back to my pocket. Then, I can't turn on the screen anymore, even with an incoming call, my phone will just ring and the screen is still black!!! Tried master reset... Didn't help... Tried flashing to another rom... Did't help... So I contacted HTC, and it seems like after I flashed the phone, they cannot repair the phone for me? Is that true? PLEASE HELP!!!

Yes, I did rooted the phone and installed a new rom.
I'm not sure which rom is my original stock rom. Any ideas on how to find that?
Mine is a T-mobile HTC Sensation.

At first, I just thought it is a software problem, cuz it happened to my old HTC HD2 running android, but after trying rooting and flashing, Im pretty sure it is not a software problem.

[Q] HTC Sensation turns wifi and mobile network on by itself

Sometimes when I look at my phone I will see the icon for data usage at the top of the screen. The wifi has been turned on and the mobile network is using up my credit?
This either has something to so with app synching(but I have auto-sync turned off) or some other sneaky setting.
As of right now I have checked the "restrict background data" box so I will see if that solves the problem.
This usually happens after being connected to my laptop wifi but not only then. Has anyone had this problem or found a solution?

Which ROM and firmware are you on bro? This was an issue with ROM's based on old firmwares.The latest InsertCoin, ARHD and Elegancia ROM's don't have this issue.

My XE does this too, I'm on the standard OTA ICS update. I was wondering if it was something to do with using Juicedefender, do you use it?

If you are on stock ICS, then this problem should be solved with the update after upgrading. It's a setting update, about 15mb. I had the same problem after updating to ICS too. I think somebody posted about it earlier.

First u need to root your phone .. Here is the perfect tutorial for you.
Then Just replaced the stock Sense3.6 files with the ones from Sense 4 using Root Explorer.
The attached the files are from Sense 4 rom.
I dont remember from which post i got to know this. But credit goes to the certain developer.
P.S: Backup ur Rom before doing anything. Noone ll be reponsible if anything happens.

Sorry I useless with tech words. The software info say Android 4.0.3, HTC sense 3.6, Software number 3.32.401.5
And for clarity, I don't use any apps really I just use the base ones that came with the phone.
Thanks for the posts. I turned background data on again because the messaging app was and still is giving me trouble where it stays on "loading..." for one contact. Haven't had the original issue occur since I posted but I also haven't used it on my laptop hotspot.

I've noticed my phone do this as well (see ROM I'm using in the signature), but only after midnight, like it's got some kind of sleep mode so you wouldn't be bothered by notifications in the middle of the night.
I started noticing this when I first tried OrDroid and it stayed that way when I went back to ARHD. Don't think I've seen the phone do that before using OrDroid for the first time (but maybe it did and I just didn't notice it)

Yeah I've been trying to find where it says what ROM it is in the about but I can't seem to find it... It's the stock rom anyway i guess

[Q] Facebook Application Constantly Crashes

Ever since I got my Xoom it has bugged me why the Facebook Application constantly fails on me. I have a Motorola Xoom 32gb running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean. It just says that the process com.facebook.kanta has stopped working unexpectantly.
Any ideas on how to fix this? If I have left any vital information out please say so and Ill try my best to retrieve it.

Have you tried a previous version of the facebook app to see it you still get that error? Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall app? or This error may have something to do with your facebook status update settings. If you have a custom settings you might want to go into your update status>privacy options and change it to one of the options under the "smart list" or "just friends". Let us know. I also have the 32gb Xoom (rooted) no facebook issues here. Not sure what's going on.

I have a similar issue, even on stock, was the reason I rooted my phone in the first place. I use Rezound Proximity Sensor Calibration app from the play store and it solves the problem perfectly.

Just a noobie question...the new build has something called 'chameleon' in it. Where is it and what does it do?

is a new behaviour of status bar, changed the colour like the actual app.
It's nice but isn't deactivable... (and IMHO I don't like much...)

Candy center OTA not working
I'm on 1.6.1 and the candy center says I'm on current version. Would really prefer an OTA update to a complete wipe and rom install... Any solution for this?

Hi, im new to the forum and wondered if anyone can help. Im trying to flash my one s with the newest candykat and keep getting an install error "E: Error executing updater binary in zip 'internal_sd/candykat-ville-215-4.4.4.release...."
My device has s-off and im using twrp 2.7.0, hboot 2.15 and haven't usually had any probs like this before in the past (though it has been around 8 months since i last changed the ROM, time for something new...).
Ive tried the last two releases of CandyKat with the same error, can anyone shed any light on the problem??

Manually upgraded to 1.6.2, now 1.6.3 is available and Candy Centre still says I have the latest version. Do OTA updates work for this or not? Does anyone even look at this Q&A thread?

Ota is being reworked atm

Hi, i want to ask if someone else have a problem with com.android.phone force close, sometimes i just have one in a while, but sometimes I have a lot. Yes i tried other roms but have similar problem, so I'm asking if there is a workaround. I'm using hboot 2.16, I came from liberty max sense 5.5 so I have the radio from that rom. Hboot 2.15 user have the problem too? Or if something to live with kitkat aosp?

Ok, I know I'm not going crazy because I've changed it before on this ROM...but how do you change the lock screen background? I can't seem to find the right place anymore... Please save my sanity...

Ok... This one has me baffled... Whenever I open chrome it opens in hover mode... Like in the middle of the screen where you can see the previous app or background behind it... Weird issue. I've tried clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstalling, disabling hover, but nothing helps. Any ideas?

I think it's a chrome problem., they seem to be trying to introduce a reading mode. I started using the chrome beta and it doesn't have this behaviour. The only way I can find to switch out of that reading mode is to use the task switcher, change to some other task and then change back to chrome.

You need to enable USB debugging in dev options I think, then select mass storage when you plug in the usb cable. Should work fine. As a last resort you could boot to recovery and mount the sd card from TWRP, pc should see it then no problem.

Why KandyKat vers, 1.4 or 1.5 not in HTC One S wiki ?
In HTC One S wiki there is a table of all the Official and well supported custom ROMs.
I noticed that KandyKat is not listed in the wiki summary table.
