Okay, hopefully I ask this correctly. You know how there are apps that replace the lock screen? Is there any way to actually replace the lock screen through the back end? I ask because, for example, with "Lock Screen 7", it still sometimes shows the original lock screen.
So is there anything I can replace in like /system/ or anything like that so that I have a permanent new lock screen?
Also, I AM rooted and running Twisted_Asanti (the 77.8.14 version)

Hi,
I'm using a Galaxy S running a froyo custom ROM.
I was wondering whether there is a way to disable the "auto lock" feature of the phone?
The display can still shutdown based on the selected screen time-out time, however, the phone should stay without getting auto locked, unless its explicitly locked.
Ideally, it should be like in the Nokia 5800, where the screen switches off after the given number of seconds, however the phone stays unlocked (unless its locked using the hardware button) and the display comes on when the screen is tapped/touched.....
Is there any way something similar could be done with Android?
Thanks in advance,
Look for an app in the market called No Lock. One click on the app toggles the auto-lock on/off and it's auto-loaded every time the phone boots up. Couldn't be easier simpler.
Thanks for the reply.
Actually, I'm using "no lock" at the moment.... What I'm ideally looking for is a way to bring the screen alive just by tapping on the screen. Even eith "no lock" still you need to press one of the hardware buttons to awaken the screen....
Maybe this is not possible in Android ?
I don't think it is...
But even if it was possible, why would you want it? It'd get triggered so often any time you brushed up against it, wasting battery and launching apps while in your pocket or something.
try Extended control
I also need an app or a tweak or something that let me set the screen timeout, withOUT autolocking, but also withOUT disabling the lockscreen, so when I press the side buttons the phone locks.
I've been searching for days with no luck. Any help, please?
Long store short I like cm "custom" lock screen(the one u slide down to unlock) than the regular one, but I need to be able to turn the notifications off. It shows the text of my messages on the lock screen. Not always a good idea lol. Ive searched can't find anything.
So, i recently bought this phone (Honor 6), really awesome, especially for the price but,
I love how each time i see the lock screen there is a different picture and I wanted to put my own pictures in but I dont know how. Not only I couldnt find the pictures that were on the lock screen anywhere in the phone not even in the system files, but then I changed the lock screen pictures to a single picture on my SD card and I dont know how to revert it or select multiple pictures so it would change them each time as before. From my googling I think that the lock screen is called Huawei Magazine Lock Screen but it didnt help me much. Can anyone help?
TL; DR
Where are original lock screen pictures located in the phone?
How to select multiple pictures for lock screen so that they would change each time I see the lock screen?
While on the lock screen, flip up from down, so have an option to save it.
The saved images are in Gallery>Magazine Unlock Folder
Hey all, just a little issue I'm having with my Galaxy S4 SPH-L720 running official CM13. Whenever I unlock my phone with the swipe lock screen (or anything, for that matter - pattern or passcode) the next screen pops up right away instead if moving up from the bottom of the screen with a smooth animation.
If you're a tad confused on what I'm talking about, grab your phone (or if you're already on it) turn it off. Now unlock your phone and watch carefully. If window animation is enabled in dev options, the screen will come up from the bottom quickly. My phone is missing this.
It's a trivial thing, , but if I can get some help with it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! :good:
I would very much appreciate any thoughts anyone has on tackling the following:
OK, so if you have lock screen switched off, your device goes straight in, with no unlock or swipe screen whatsover. All good.
If, as I do, you use "trusted devices", this theoretically bypasses the lock screen and gives the same effect. Except that it's doesn't. What you get is a swipe-away screen instead of the lock screen.
Does anyone know a legitimate way, or a fix or crack or tweak, or a 3rd party app, that gets rid of the swipe-away screen, so that using a trusted device or location to bypass lock actually does so, giving the same result as not having lock switched on at all, rather than just replacing the lock screen with a swipe screen? Many thanks.

It really depends on your phone. When my phone enters my car and is connected via bluetooth, its a trusted device. I simply can turn my phone on and it will work without a lock screen. I'm using an S8.
Then again, if I did have a swipe screen, its the same thing as having no lock because you dont even have to swipe to open the phone. Not worth trying to look for a 3rd party app for something so minor, in my opinion.
