Your phone will still be carrier unlocked but you will have to root the firmware if it was rooted before you updated.

My brother Iphone ..when he update baseband he Loos the unlock for sim card...so I feared from that..

[Q] Root with locked bootloader?

Hi all!
I tried to search around but I couldn't find an answer for this model.. Is there any way of rooting the Xperia L with locked bootloader? My system says I cannot unlock (Vodafone Portugal).

Hi!
Has anyone on this forum got a method on how to install clockwork mod recovery on locked bootloader.
You can install CWM on many other phones with locked bootloader like XPERIA Z etc.
So why not on XPERIA E.

That guide you gave me is for unlocked bootloader, I can't unlock bootloader because it's says bootloader allowed no, any other solution

Sorry pal, I don't think we can install cwm without unlocking bootloader... it's just the way it is...I guess we'll have to deal with it

Xperia J lag fix?

Is there any way to play games like gta 3 and gangstar rio without lags? Supercharging doesn't work and it seems like I can't find other solutions.

Well im not sure if u can flash custom kernel without unlocking bootloader! Search somewhere! If u cant do that then there is no other option to remove lags Sorry!

Hahah All the sony handset have this problem! In real its good for our ears! And no application can boost ur earphone volume! Just get some good original headphone from sony..

Yeah... Right now I'm using viper4android and it just seems to boost it a bit but I heard that acid works better anyway I have stumbled upon a thread on how to install cwm for locked bootloader, but you have to downgrade back to ics and only then you can have it. So i would like to ask do you really need to clean something before downgrade, because I heard that if you don't you get a bootloop.

Yeah you must clear ur dalvik cache and yeah you can unlock ur bootloader to get the most from ur phone i sent u a message...Read ur PMs....
