Hi guys I'm currenting running BAMF 2.0 and I'm having a lot of problems with charging and USB mounting and so I was wondering if I should switch to CM7. What problems have you guys been having with CM7? Also what kernel and radio should I flash when I run it? Thanks!

You need to use a Froyo radio (like the one in my signature). Also CM7 does have it's own issues: see the CM7 thread for more. I'm using leanKernel2.5.2+tun and it works great. Make sure to flash the kernel in recovery and not in ROM manager or Kernel Manager -- it can cause issues. Some of the charging issues I've seen with the GB Sense Leak seem to have something to do with the kernel, or so I've read in the leanKernel thread. May want to check that out before you switch.
Good luck!
I've been using CM7 as my daily driver since the newest build came out and have had very few problems. The most annoying issue is that in order to get 4g you have to turn 3g on first, then switch to 4g and it will connect, but won't show you how many bars you have. Aside from that everything is working pretty flawlessly for me. I think that it is way better than any of the sense based roms and it's definitely cool to have an AOSP rom since I upgraded from the OG DROID.
I wouldn't say I've been having zero problems, I don't have the updated baseband above (care to point me where I can find that/noob instructions?) but overall I have mixed feelings with the update - most of them are stock-android issues I think. The radios are a mess, I lose 3g regularly and have to restart, gps problems, and bluetooth is a complete disaster (as it was on sense). Other than that, I've had issues with exchange, issues with my contacts (may have been a backup problem), issues with some widgets. Generally it is MUCH faster than sense on bootup, but some games are laggy with nothing else running.
Also: Netflix!
Really looking forward to future updates, once the kinks are worked out I will be pretty happy. Very glad I'm off sense and all that VZ crap is gone.
Hi people, how are you. I still can't find a ROM to stick with. For those who have tested many roms, which one is the most complete package? Fewest bugs and most stable?
Right now I'm on EB 2.3.3 and it's really nice, but I got a few errors (lost connectivity, txt took forever to receive). It hasn't happened since, and I hope it stays this way.
So, what are you running, and why.
Your on a good one...they all have little things wrong with them...

Depends on what u looking for, wish i could combine all, cm tweaks+froyo cam+froyo a2dp.
been on cm7 nightlies, birgertime 2.3.5, whitehawks MIUI and 2.3.3 OTA build, EagleBlood all of them, faux's from AOSP to right before he started to work on a CM7 source build, xboarder's stock tweaked...
Right now I'm on Whitehawk's 2.3.3 rom and I like it enough to stay with it, but really want kernel options and LG cam. EB froyo was super stable and still have that has my reliable (won't be near a computer to flash and play with roms) Nandroid. So I'd say stick with EB for now to be honest. That and he updates with the most stable updates IMO... infact I might be flashing back to that tonight, after thinking about it lol.
Thanks guys. Anyone have experience with the latest MIUI? I loved it on my G2, but it seems really buggy for the G2X.

I am running it with the faux latest kernel. It has been pretty stable. I like the fact that you have so many options in terms of themes and lockscreens.
I have tried many ROMS but CM7 still stand out. CM7 is solid.

Dude and I'm digging the browser in the new one, kinda like dolphin, I like how u hit back once and it actually goes back a page also u can scroll with the volume buttons lol the newest miui is nice!
I just can't run any CM7 rom given the lack of a2dp. this is such a basic and crucial functionality missing that i cannot imagine having a rom without it.

+1 , me too, forgot how much i missed and used it... i try to go to cm but i always leave based on that and hdmi out at 1080 is not working... all which of those work perfect on the 2.3.3 roms.
xboarder cm7/stock remix is the most stable i tried so far. right now im on weapon g2x which is good clean rom.
i just did the clockworkmod flash and done a full backup and was going to try a few roms without all the bloatware tmobile puts on.. but i HAVE to have a rom that is stable with wifi calling because i have 0 signal at home and wifi calling is very important to me.. in fact the stock wifi calling is kind of flaky on this g2x and would like a rom that might have this perfected a bit more.. any recomendations?
thanks

I have the same issue with no signal and needing wifi calling. without a doubt X-boarders stock tweaked is the best I have been on for stability and daily use. I havent been on the new weapon rom yet but I have been hearing good things about it. right now I am trying out faux new aosp with his OC kernel and for two days it has been solid. Only had one data drop so far. X-boarders is the way to go I think. I have been considering going back until Miui or CM7 is more solid.
Just wondering if there is a ROM that handles wifi better than the stock one. It amazes me just how bad it really is....Need to do something about it!
I guess I wasn't on the stock ROM long enough to notice any issues with wifi, but I guess Serendipity VII might manage your wifi signal better. I really haven't had any issues with my Infuse's wifi connection while using this ROM.

Other than possibly Gingerbread vs. Froyo - none. All Froyo kernels use the same BCM4330 driver, all Gingerbread kernels use another driver but it's the same for all GB kernels.
(Wifi support is primarily in the kernel.)
Thanks. Switched to infused 1.6 last night and it seems to be a little better so far.

get Infused v.2.1.0
its amazing....cant believe i didnt flash it sooner because my phone doesnt even hiccup anymore.
I actually found that Infused is pretty weak on connectivity both wifi and cell signal, I'm trying to find something better but I'm with the Rogers Infuse with GB. so there are only like 3 roms available to try from ( and I did..) any suggestions besides waiting for att Infuses to get the GB update?
I currently loaded Liquidsmooth Rom with Android 4.2.2 for my my Verizon Galaxy S3, and I was wondering if there was any way to get the wifi tether to work for this? I have got the Trevo mod for wifi, but I still cannot get the wifi to work. I am using the stock kernal so not sure if I need to try a new kernal instead?
In trying to figure out how to get the wifi to work, I was wondering if I would be better off going to a Touchwiz rom instead. Is there a 4.2.2 Touchwiz rom thats stable? I don't really want to customize anything I really was happy with the stock look, just would like better battery life, signal, and the ability to wifi tether, and have found I am not the biggest fan of liquidsmooths layout/look compared to the stock version I was on. Can anyone recommend a Rom on 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 that will give me what I am looking for?
Thanks

I would check out Synergy or Beans. Have run both with great battery life, 28 to 36 hours with 4 to 6 hours of screen time on extended battery with each. I currently am running Beans 12 over Synergy as I don't care for the screen rotations. Also both include the TrevE wifi tether.

There is no 4. 2 touchwiz ROM for this device. Do some research and you will find that it was Google that released 4.2 and that independent devs are likely to get a stable version before manufacturers do. Touchwiz isn't stock it is Samsung's version of android. AOSP is what the android OS really looks like before anyone messes with it. As for a stable ROM most of the touchwiz ROMs are stable, all claimed to have great battery life but only a few have free WiFi tethering. beyond the two the previous guy mentioned I don't know any other ROM.
I did a lot of searches to try to get the wifi tether to work with liquidsmooth, is there any solution that I am missing here? I would be interested in trying to still with that rom if I can at least get the tether to work.

I heard Samsung leaked the international 4.2.1 TW. Maybe someone will develope a ROM based on that leak for the Verizon.

Due to the different specs of the international and US versions of the S 3 it is difficult to port it. It will take longer to port.
Hi every body..
Just I want t know what custom Roms for Samsung Galaxy S Blaze support Wifi Calling features? because T-Mobile signal where I live is too weak and I'm always relaying on Wifi Calling when I'm at Home.
Thank You.:good:
Note: I already did my search and the only Roms I got were [ROM][UVLH5][CWM]Blaze Tweaked ICS 2.2 and |ROM| Blaz3r 4 |4.0.4|.
I want to know if there are others Roms.
Yes only ICS stock based Roms and ICS stock itself have WiFi calling. As wonderful as jellybean is, I am currently satisfied with ICS stock. It does what I need it to do without any issues at all.
