Try factory data reset. I had the same problem with multiple roms even after odin resets. Just letting the phone format itself fixed my issues.

You need to wipe data in CWM.
If you Odined back to stock you need to do a full factory wipe in Settings - note that the factory wipe in Settings will also wipe anything on the internal SD.
Problems like what you describe are common when things haven't been wiped that should have been, or an improper TiBu restore was performed (such as restoring system data)

Text messaging app died

The text messaging app on my One X died. Whenever I click on a thread, it just says Loading... but nothing happens. I've soft reset my phone twice. I'm running the latest AT&T official firmware with no customizations. Can this be fixed without a hard reset?

Backup your messages using SMS Backup & Restore, and clear data from the Messaging app. Worked for me on the Vibrant.
Clear data is greyed out for Messages.
Do you have Titanium Backup? If so, wipe data through there, and reboot.
You could backup the app, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, and then restore your messages if needed.

If I'm going to root I might as well install the stock ICS messaging app.

Emergency..... Need help!

I updated my phone through Kies and now it just hangs at the AT&T screen after Android does it's optimizing thing. I have no idea what's going on but I CANNOT lose this data.
The factory Hard Reset is NOT an option!
Where to start?

You have to do a factory reset in recovery. You won't loose pictures, music, etc on your sd card. You will loose all your apps which you'll have to reinstall if you don't have them backed up.

Contacts are what is important.. And Texts.. Not my phone, wish I knew there was no backup.

Did you have those backed up to Google? It generally does that by default. You're kind of between a rock and a hard spot. If you can't get past the boot screen you'll have to do a reset, but contacts and text will be lost if they're not backed up somewhere else

That's why you should always nandroid. Lesson learned the hard way.

Flash a custom recovery through Odin then do a nandroid on the data, then download the firmware you were running and Odin that, flash custom recovery restore the nandroid. In theory u should be right back to were you were minus apps??

Unread count badger service not working

So the unread sms, missed call, and unread gmails count has stopped working. I have tried clearing cache from badger, and the apps. But no luck.
What should I do? Thanks!
If you have root and a backup of the apks you could try uninstalling then reboot restore a backup reboot again and see if that fixes the issue for you. If not force stopping then clearing cache and data with a reboot is all I can think of with out a factory reset. There may be another way but I can't think of one right away

I'll just factory reset. Will that erase what's in storage?
And with my phone being unlocked and rooted on stock firmware, with a few apps frozen, xposed framework, do I need to revert any of that first?
It should prompt me on erasing the SD right? Would it be better to do this in TWRP
To you factory restore you should always back up everything in case things go an unplanned route. Doing things such as wipes in TWRP is the preferred way if that is an option.

[Resolved] Samsung Note 9 Messaging

Hi, currently having issues with my Note 9 messaging App. I do not get notifications when I receive an SMS nor delivery reports when I send out. Everything was working fine then suddenly stopped.
I do know it's not the Settings alert as my notifications are on, badger is on, volume is fine, Do not disturb isnt activated. Also am having issues only with Messaging App.
Other text Apps are working fine and I get my notifications. Anyone know what this is about??
Thanks

Have you tried booting into recovery and then choosing the wipe cache partition option? This tends to solve a lot of bugs such as what you are experiencing.
If that doesn't fix it, the next step would be to factory reset the device.
If that doesn't work, the next step would be to reflash your current stock firmware via PC.

No, wiping cache only wipes cached data(temporary files).
You would lose data if you factory reset.
If wiping cache doesn't work and you want to try factory reset, you can backup your apps and data then factory reset the device then restore your data, but, you'll be taking your chances because whatever might be causing the issue might be included in the backed up data, restoring that data may cause the issue to return.
In some cases, when trying to solve issues, depending on the cause/solution, you may have to accept losing your data to repair the device, depending on what kind of data you are talking about.

It doesn't require an update, all you need is the same version that you already have if you can find a place to download it.
I suggest you backup your data then factory reset. Then restore the data, but, I'm willing to bet that the issue is being caused by a setting that you have changed, whether you realize it or not or it is caused by something else that you have installed on the device. If you backup your data, that setting change will also be in the backed up data and restoring it will just cause the issue to return. I suggest that you only backup your apps and their app data, your contacts and your pictures/video but do not backup your settings. Then factory reset the device then restore the backed up apps, app data, contacts and pics/vids. Then, if it is being caused by a setting that you altered, your issue should be gone as long as that setting is not restored with your backed up data.
If it is being caused by one of the other apps that you installed, restoring that app will cause the issue to return. One way to test if it is an app or something else that you installed, you can boot into safe mode, if the issue doesn't happen while in safe mode then you know it is not caused by something that you installed. If it continues even while in safe mode then a factory reset or flashing the stock firmware are the only solutions to your issue.
Or, find a copy of your current stock firmware and flash it.
