[Q] How to update to 2.3.6 a rooted I-727

Hi, I have a SGH I-727 and its rooted. I would like to make a firmware update to 2.3.6 Please tell me how to do it, and wich are the benefits of this new firmware?

You have to flash a rom that has that base.

Need help to update my i727 skyrocket

Hi everyone,
This is my first post in xda. I am new in this rooting or flashing etc. Please don't get irritated with my questions as I am new. I live in Bangladesh. I bought an at&t skyrocket i727 from a person just returned from usa which is unlocked.
My questions are
how do I update it into ics 4?
Should I wait for the update given by Samsung?
If I don't wait which will be the best and safe way to update? As I have seen so many ways discussed here I am really confused.
And after update do I need to unlock it again?
My phone details are
version 2.3.5
Baseband I727UCKJ2
kernel 2.6.35.11
Build GINGERBREAD.UCKJ2

first of all there is no official ics update for skyrocket the latest update is 2.3.6
although there have been many ics leaks the latest is the ucle2 leak and you can get more information from this link

Sorry, it's very difficult to understand what you're asking.
Are you looking for the official (stock) Rogers ICS rom that was released in June? You should be able to get this update through KIES, but if you're looking for the .tar file...
Some searching of this forum for the firmware revision name (I727RUXLF3) turned up this:

Samsung also has a firmware repository so you could download from them directly (Probably safer), you will need to make an account though:

You will need to know how to use ODIN in order to flash this, do some research and reading about how to use ODIN, because you can mess up your phone if you click the wrong thing.
My understanding is that the official Rogers ROM will NOT work with an AT&T phone. You would need to use a custom ROM based on the latest AT&T leak (UCLF5), as they have not yet released an ICS rom to my understanding (Someone correct me if I am wrong...).
If that's not what you're asking then please try to clarify.

I also have Rogers Stock ICS 4.0.4 from Sammobile and am looking for the 14 Toggle Mod in the notification bar.
So far, I cannot find anything and nobody has posted a reply. I tried to mod this ROM myself but I'm not experienced enough with ODEX ROMs.

I have the Rogers i727r with stock ICS rooted.
If you have an ATT i727, I think the Rogers ICS will work but maybe not perfectly.
What is your reason to put the Rogers ICS on an i727 ATT phone? Wouldn't it be best to use the stock ATT ROM?

I m from India. I bought an AT&T i727 Skyrocket. it is running on stock ICS rom. can i flash official stock Rogers Rom on my Device? Will it work in India ( ryt now with stock ics AT&T rom, its working)
i tried searching in the forums but couldn't find my exact answer that's why i am starting a thread.

Don't forget to add the APN for your carrier manually to get the data.

[Q] Atrix 2 Firmware downgrade from 4.0.4 to 2.3.5

I wish to ask whether it is possible to downgrade android 4.0.4 on my Atrix 2 back to its original firmware: android 2.3.5 which has flash support.

For some regions/firmwares, I think you can (like MEARET and/or SEARET).
For AT&T and some others, the ONLY WAY that is possible is if you never installed the official ICS OTA that was pushed to your phone, and are on the first leak (which you would have had to install manually yourself).
