[Q] touchpad - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys whats the difference between the mouse cursor mode and the gesture mode in the asus customise settings? as far as i can see it only changes the cursor from a pointer to circle and gesture mode lets you pinch zoom, is there any more than that guys?

Yes try some gestures on the touchpad Like swiping in browser. You can do two finger gestures in gesture mode and the touchpad acts the same way as if you were doing it on the screen directly. i>e., two fingers up to scroll down. In mouse pointer mode it is reversed. Two fingers up to scroll up.

No more cursor when using keyboard mouse?

Suddenly there is no more cursor on my screen when using the mousepad on the physical keyboard. It's just gone. The actual keyboard is still working fine.
Is there a setting somewhere to re-enable this or something? Maybe I hit something on the keyboard?
Did you accidentally turn off the trackpad?
There's a toggle button to turn the trackpad on/off on the top row of the keyboard in between the bluetooth and brightness buttons
Also try re-docking your keyboard.

I found this thread using search - I had the same problem but thought it was cused by the low battery in the docking station.
It wasn't - your suggestion was spot on. Next time I must try to remember when I switch the trackpad off.
There is a setting in the settings to change the look of cursor, maybe there is one to toggle the cursor

In my case I switched it off with one of the top row of function keys - it looks like a mouse! Which makes it even less forgivable that I forgot it after switching it off myself ...

[Q] Flipping the orientation of swipes in "mouse cursor mode"

Hello all,
I would like to flip the orientation of how swipes are registered by the touchpad in "Mouse cursor mode" so that it registers like in "Gesture mode." I think the best way to explain what I'm talking about is by examples, so here it goes:
Let's say you're looking at your home screen. if you want to switch to your screen to the right:
1. Using the screen, you would place one finger on the screen and swipe left.
2. Using Gesture mode, you would place two fingers on the touchpad and swipe left.
3. Using Mouse cursor mode, you have to place two fingers on the touchpad and swipe right.
Or, if you want to scroll down on your browser:
1. Using the screen, you would place one finger on the screen and swipe up.
2. Using Gesture mode, you would place two fingers on the touchpad and swipe up.
3. Using Mouse cursor mode, you have to place two fingers on the touchpad and swipe down.
The fact that Mouse cursor mode registers swipes opposite to how the screen and Gesture mode register swipes kinda drives me nuts. Does anybody know how to change this?
(I prefer using Mouse cursor mode because (1) I don't like the round circle pointer in Gesture mode; and (2) the transitions in Gesture mode when using the touchpad is jerky compared to transitions in Mouse cursor mode.)
Thanks!

tf300t dock mouse

I am kind of annoyed with the mouse on the dock (two finger scroll and the zoom) i was wondering if there is a way to make the touchpad mouse similar to a regular laptop. scrolling on the right side and zoom on the bottom of the touch pad and get rid of the two finger scrolling.
any ideas?

Navigation Gestures don't have multitasking !?!

The gesture navigation on the ZF7Pro doesn't seem as good as the ZF6.
I was a big fan of the gesture navigation on the ZF6 with its 4 functions: swipe up left for back, swipe up middle for home, swipe up right for recent apps, and swipe up right and hold for multifunction/half screen apps.
On the ZF7Pro, there is only: swipe up for home, swipe up and hold for recent apps, and swipe left and right for back. I do a lot of multitasking so having easy access to multitask/multi window is a must for me.
Is there any way to get the same gesture control that I had in the ZF6?

Home Gesture not extending to bottom on Lineage OS

I have installed the latest version of Lineage OS. I am addicted to gesture controls. The Home gesture is working, but it doesn't work when swiping from off the screen. You have to start the gesture at the bottom of the screen and swipe up.
Can anyone help me adjust the gesture response to recognize my thumb when I swipe from below the screen upward onto the screen?
TIA
Figured it out. You have to use Mind the Gapps. Not Open Gapps
