"Canonical aims to release handsets running the operating system by October 2013" so probably the final version wont get released any time soon i guess

If youve seen the new jb/cm10 it has a tablet version but idk if its stable yet with our thrive. I just seen the update. I'm kinda happy but my phone which is a newer model the epic 4g no such luck on getting Samsung to ICS/jb update

Depends on the Devs. There is only a few who develop ROMs for the thrive .

I guess interest might renew if it got easier to root with this latest update?

Nope, Toshiba locked the bootloader but there maybe a ROM for CM10 coming soon to the Thrive.
Hopefully with its price dropping, we can get more interest

Hey guys, I am new to THRiVE development, but not new to development in general. I have a CM10 build that boots.
WiFi and External storage are not working at the moment, but overall it is functional. I'll let you know when I have more. Also, head over to thriveforums.org for more information.

Developer driven site, not many have thrive. Toshiba Thrive Forum is place to be for now. Excellent work done over there. Easy to use and very helpful.

Because I didn't even know about it for awhile. Some people don't. I would have never known unless someone had told me.

[Q] iOS on Android?

Guys I was wondering if there is a chance to install iOS ROM on Android device I found something but I haven't tested it yet and is there any good released version of this?
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
I hope you're kidding. iOS is closed source. It would be impossible as well as illegal to install it onto one of our devices.

Android AOSP 4.4 Rom for d2vzw?

Is their any possibility that devs could build for the d2vzw a AOSP 4.4 Rom?
Would it be any different than the 4.3?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
My guess is that it won't happen until CyanogenMod start releasing 4.4 versions. Also since 4.3 was a minor update, 4.4 may take longer.

Yes of course. 4.4 is kitkat. Completely new android version.

Key Lime Pie and 5.0 were both false speculative rumors. Google named it Kit Kat and numbered it 4.4.

But the Nexus 4 isn't on Verizon (scratches head). Besides, they had an 4.4 on the Nexus 4 the same night as 4.4 source was pushed. Primary reason why I'm likely getting a Nexus after my contract ends.

Reason I didn't say s4 was because I know it doesn't have it since I always check my roms for at least a 4.4 lol. And I think he speaks of the nexus 4 as in terms of thinking that once an aosp device is released devs can build off of it; But in reality it actually relies on the whole source code that has to be completed pushed out and updated by Google.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Isn't source released?

Yeah I was talking about the Nexus 4 getting an official ota leak 4.4 ROM. I did read about this on the internet so I could be wrong.

Pacman ROM.

Quick question, I have successfully built pacman and was wondering if I could release it in the wild just for those that want to get their hands on it? I haven't already because I didn't want to step on any toes, especially those of Devs I idolize so much.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Good going. Like to see new devs. Do you have permission from the original devs? That would be the place to start.
Should I ask in the Pacman boards for permission? I wasn't quite sure how to go about that. When I saw PAC wasn't available for the Nexus I kind of lost my mind and had it built the next day lol

No, you cannot release any builds until nightlies start. There was a message at the end of the build that says the same thing. Nightlies should start soon though, so you can release your builds after that. All builds right now are for private use only.
Or perhaps upload your work for the pac team and ask them to be the official builder for the nexus 5 version?

Sorry I started my build right before bed one night and by the time I woke up my wife had closed terminal so I never saw the message. If I had I promise I would have never asked. Sorry again and I'll definitely keep the build to myself.
