Hey. So I was wondering if there was a way to make apps that you have purchased via Amazon, to be recognized and updatable via Play Store?
I bought the Splashtop App from Amazon, but froze the Appstore because it keeps running in the background and using data/battery. But since I've done that, I'm not allowed to run Splashtop. It says I need to install Amazon Appstore.
Is there a way to get around that?
Thanks!
AW: Amazon Appstore Apps to Google Play Apps
There is no way to get around it other than purchasing it on Google play again. It's simple as that. Furthermore I think it won't be possible in the future because amazon and Google are competitors and it is nearly impossible for them to check whether you've bought the app or not.

Try breaking the market link with titanium backup. It works on some apps but not all.

The new market is showing Apps as "installed" that were downloaded via amazon, you can also update!
Edit: only free apps* paid Apps you are asked to purchase, but are still shown as installed

Wow, if that's true, that's a great feature... although I hardly ever have updates for my Amazon apps.

I agree, a simple fact like this could have been started in the first thread and it wouldn't if been over shadowed.
I purchased "apparatus" in the Amazon app store and it is no longer available. Android market is telling me an update is available, and then I'm asked to purchase the app.... Contact the dev?

I believe that if it is a purchased app from amazon (even one of the free apps of the day) you can only update it in the amazon market, not the android market.

Why would an app cost $$$ on the Amazon AppStore but be free in the Android Market..? Sounds like you are installing "lite" or ad versions.
Hey guys,
Just wanted to drop by this forum and have a little discussion.
I won a $25 Google Play credit through a Samsung contest, and I was extremely excited to reveive it yesterday.
I immediately went onto the app store and searched for some good games and apps to purchase.
I've been searching for a full day now and honestly haven't made a single purchase. :crying:
I already own great games like Dead Trigger, Shadowgun, FPSe, Final Fantasy III, Dead Space, MC3, DH2.. and apps like Superuser Elite, SetCPU, and Alarm Clock by doubletwist.
I can't seem to find ANYTHING on the Play Store that is striking my interest, but I know that there are some really useful paid apps out there.
So I propose this question. What would YOU buy with $25 in Google Play credit?
I would get a Nexus 7 and get some money off it
Buy power amp...... Titanium backup pro.... It's probably the best paid app on Google Play

I use google music to play my audio because my storage is limited on my One X. Also, I have Backdrop pro which backs up my apps and such to my 30 Gb dropbox.
I have too many games!

I second this!
Rom Toolbox Pro
USB/BT Joystick Center (if you like gaming on Android with a controller)
Audio Evolution
Dink Smallwood (old but great)
4EXT Recovery Control (if you use a 4EXT recovery)

I agree, PowerAmp and Titanium Backup Pro...I'd also get "Wheres My Droid" so that you can find the Nexus 7 you'll buy with what is left
Everybody saying buy a nexus 7, are they really that cheap? You really believe he's going to buy an android tablet with $25 of Google credits?

250 dollars isn't it? 25 dollars off that and it's even more amazingly cheap every little helps
For me.. I would probably learn some coding and use that $25 to open an account in play store and sell apps
but..
Titanium Backup Pro
Rom toolbox

Haha, I actually have already and I have seven apps on the market. Just some work I did for some bloggers that never paid off.
Seems a lot of people are posting Titanium Backup. Don't have much of a use for it with Backdrop. I like the post about the joystick app. I need to buy me a Six Axis!

$25 is enough for paying fee for Developer Signup in Google Play, u can start selling your apps in the play store to gain more money
Already got the dev account. Have a couple apps up there but nothing that anyone would want to download.
My marketing technique is horrible.

Hello,
2 days ago (friday evening), I downloaded the free (Trial) version of the xPhone (Phone and Contacts) app from Google Play. 2 hours later, I wanted to download the full paying version, and I then noticed that the app had disappeared from Google Play list !
I suppose (am I wrong ?) that this has a link with the fact that Google is going to issue a new phone called X Phone !...
Anyway, I would like to be able to find a working copy of this app (last version is 2.6.3), even paying one, but this seems impossible to me; I have already found for free a "full" version, but it was not working correctly and I desinstalled it.
Is there a place where I can find a true and secure version of this app, at a correct price (the price on Google Play was 2.99 €).
Thanks to you.
Regards from France.

Hi, I got the xphone pro app when it was available on google play and have been really happy with it but... I also went looking on google play for new themes and also found it had completely disappeared. The pixelrush.net website is still there but the link to google play doesn't work. In the about box it shows that it's a 1 person developer from Russia. He/She did a really good job but must have moved on...
I think maybe you're right about the name clash with google's new project.
Google is going to launch an xPhone in the near feature, and has obvious bought the name from Pixelrush.
The xPhone will be relaunched PR Phone in the near feature.
I just noticed this too... so I don't really care about Googles xPhone. I paid for this app and it's also the best one I've found.
How do I get it?
www.pixelrush.net is down, lol.
AW: xPhone Pro App
Sent a mail to Google support yesterday.
It's not very nice to pay for a app only to find out one day that it is disappeared without acknowledgement.
Of course, like other's pointed out, it's the new brand xphone that might be the cause will post answer from Google....
Edit: Reply from Google says, that the app "seems" to be suspended due to technical problems.
They recommend to contact the developer.
Hope, somebody can post the reply from the dev
Technical problems yea right... but yea maybe someone can get a reply from dev. It's a nice app

Yeah, technical problems
Didn't even bother to reply to Google, because it is probably more an issue with the xphone brand.
I miss xphone too. Would be nice to get the official apk, since I re flashed the phone without a titanium backup.

Today I contacted once again the developer so I can tell you some more news - more or less its Google's fault, they are still too lazy or arrogant to correct the problem. This is the process so far:
*********Pixelrush answer******************
We are already renamed application to PixelPhone.
But application is still blocked by Google and we can't update it. We need to update it with new name, but not publish a new app with new name. Because with new app all existing users lose their purchased license.
Feb 7, 2013 We wrote a letter to trademark holder so they to notify Google again about re-publishing.
Feb 5, 2013 We received an answer from Google is that they unlock the application, upon notification of the copyright holder. We told them that they (trademark holder) already have to get a response from them, and put a copy of a letter from the trademark holder.
"If XXX Company contacts us specifically authorizing your app to be re-published, and your app does not otherwise violate the Developer Distribution Agreement and Content Policy, we will reinstate the app."
Jan 29, 2013 We received a response from the trademark holder that they have notified January 29, 2013 Google, the conflict with us settled and applications can be unlocked. We wrote about this in addition to Google.
Jan 26, 2013 We received a letter from Google, that xPhone and all themes were blocked in Google Play. (Violation of the registered trademark XPhone). To unlock, it was necessary to solve this matter with the trademark holder. Mail was sent to the holder of the settlement of the issue (renaming the application and all materials in Google Play).

Google is blocking and blocking and blocking........

If you mean Titanium Backup "detach from Market" then no, that's not the point of this feature. It's meant mostly so that apps stop prompting you for updates if you want to keep this version.
What are my options for allowing me to play without a data connection? Tia
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
None as far as I'm aware. Some (Beastie Bay for instance) can be played without internet, but not all.
Being kinda a noob and all i dont know if its accepted on XDA but Lucky Patcher can remove most license checks from.most apps, you will need a rooted device and the app can be a little advanced but if you really need it i can post it. always glad to help.

From my understanding it's a server side rollout. Means you can't just download the apk and update it, Google has to flip the switch for your phone. It's a waiting game.

Yep. It will happen when it happens.
I can't paste the link, but if you Google search new google play store apk. You will find what you ate looking for. Apps for all Google Apps are always list online before they reach your phones.
