Hello! I was searching all over the internet to find out how to edit the ICS notification bar,and found one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1453869
All i wanted was to remove the quick switch area, date, settings button and the "clear notifications" button.
Since i am a newbie i was surprised,as i didn't get any error's during the process,well except one thing.The problem is:
I edited "SystemUI\res\layout\status_bar_expanded.xml" and removed the lines i thought were in charge of that block.Everything i did went too well, cause when i replaced the SystemUI.apk on my phone it wasn't working("the application has stopped working"),so this means i simply removed some wrong lines,my question is,how do i remove this block properly? I added some screen shots so you could understand what i want.I also added my phones default apk's in case someone will be so generous to edit my SystemUI.apk for me ^^""".

I tried searching for similar topics but I have yet to run across my question.
I rooted my phone today and installed the most recent release of cyanogen with the ADW launcher.
I went to delete my txt messenger icon since I have handcent to replace it. I assumed the delete region of the screen was the same as standard OS but instead I replaced the Application Expand (white 6-9 square grid) icon in the center of the lower tray with the txt messenger icon.
Any suggestions on how to undo this mistake? It's making accessing apps a PITA.
Thanks
We all know that changing one particular line in the build.prop file from "true" to "false" will turn the LG Lock screen into the Stock ICS Lock screen.
What I want to know is, how do we go about editing that lock screen? I am very sure that it is within the system files (how else would the phone be able to access it?), but I can't seem to see anything related to it.
Why would I want to edit the ICS lock screen you ask? It's to remove that grey bar below and to lock down the notif.bar, so you can only open it by swiping to unlock. That, and to add some psuedo-ripple effect that I've read about somewhere else

Click to collapse
simplest way to "remove" grey bar from ICS lockscreen´s bottom is replacing "bottom_bar.png" in framework-res.apk with resized one. direction to this file is: "\framework-res\res\drawable-hdpi".
*in attachments two pngs for example
edit// the same file is also in lge-res.apk
So the settings are in the framework-res, and the only way to mess around with the lock screen is through that apk? Got it :good: Will work on this when I have the time, thanks.
That's one question down... Now, to figure out how to lock down the notif. bar xD

Hello,
Thanks for viewing my post after a long research and modding my rom for no use, i have found that if i tap on power saving the ui refreshes and the void space disappears. I am feeling like i am a ROM Tester Now LOL.
Thanks,

Is there a way to get the annoying emergency call off the lockscreen? I am rooted and have xposed installed but haven't been able to find anything to do this
Pretty sure I saw that option in gravity box
Ok I'll check that out thanks
It didn't work but ty
Yea, just tried it myself. It worked before the update.
Is there anything about this in G3TweakBox by P-Toti?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.ptoti.g3_tweaksbox
No I've gone through the Tweakbox also and nothing on there yet, maybe in the near future if I'm lucky ? I'll have to just deal with it for now but thank you
If you download blank widget from the playstore and then add that as a widget on your lockscreen. Delete the other lockscreen and then it's gone
Thanks I didn't think of that
I used hello00's lock screen mod to get rid of the emergency call button: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2834442
My bootloader is locked so rather than flash the zip I just copy/pasted the files to their respective folders. Back up the originals first and you should be set.
Edit: Here's the direct link to the download: https://www.mediafire.com/?g11c7totne173r7
Cool thanks
Hi,
i am using Tasker to show some notifications. The notfication uses the Holo Light Icon Pack provided by Crafty Apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.ipack.holdlightmd
After playing with the new notification feature in Lollipop i disabled the notifications for this Icon Pack (long press on notification
and pressing the little bell) and i am no longer receiving these notifications (stupid me ... thought i can reactivate them easily)
I wanted to re enable this notifications but the Icon Pack is not shown in the list of apps which can be managed with
the build in notification center (Sound and Notification).
Is there any way to re enable the notification for this package by manipulating a file or database.
Thanks everyone
After testing a little bit i got a workaround for my problem.
I can change the Title of the notification in Tasker. After this the notification appears again.
Workaround ....
Edit: Nope, i dont know why the notification appeared for a moment. But it is gone again...
Problem solved
Ok. After searching another hour i found the right keyword combination to find the answer to my problem.
It was a Layer 8 Problem. I just applied a notification filter .....
If someone else is stupid enough and does not know what he is doing:
Here is the link: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...ell-on-notification-meaning-in-cm12s-lollipop
Problem solved.
Awesome! ?
Thanks, thread closed.
