As u always know that i make hurry while making threads for Devs to have discussions. but this time i beg u guys to make our great buddy honor for his work.
Adam77root-> the man, who did a marvelous work again with his greatness. Now, let me give an honor to announce that we got stock JB pre-alpha rom for Galaxy R.
so, this is the discussion thread for the same.
Please note that this rom isn't made for daily driver. but i m sure that our and Adam efforts will make it soon.
It is stock Samsung JellyBean based on the latest WanamLite rom.
Features:
* Based on Android 4.1.2 JellyBean
* Based on Samsung Galaxy S2 XWLSD (changelist: 889555)
* Based on WanamLite rom V14.1
* It has all the nice features a stock Samsung JB rom can offer (MultiWindow, better AllShare integration, new TouchWiz interface)
What works:
* It boots
* BlueTooth
* Both SD cards
* Vibration
* Sound
There are a lot of bugs! It's definitely not ready for being a daily driver.

Installation instructions:
* Do a full wipe
* Flash with recovery
* Reboot and wait (first boot takes approximately 3 minutes)

requesting adam to add package installer.apk in /system/app folder. so that we can install applications from memories. also pls add catlog and Esfile explorer to get root excess.
I have manually added the above files from ICS. but after zipping all stuff and flashing, i stuck at galaxy R logo.

Correct. That statusbar needs TouchWiz and that's why it only works on stock roms.

Package installation handling is not yet included in the rom. It will be at a later stage.

I love this Rom more than Official CM 10.1 Nightlies reasons are
1. Samsung default Task manger I love it (maybe because I very used to it)
2. Motion sensor setting which is missing in CM 10.1 :crying: (for useing flip to silent and changing music track, I know alternative application are available in the market but they are not accurate)
3. Samsung stock call blocker and sim tracking support
4. 3g video calling button for video call
5. call recording may be good in this rom because it's stock Rom :silly: (cm10.1 record calls but 1.8x speed and only dice player can run that call record but in ICS all player can do that)
I see that dailer bottons at bottom are are little cut may be because of screen size difference between S2 (4.3) and SGR (4.19) lol :laugh:
so Adam77root mate plz keep working on this ROM whenever you have free time :fingers-crossed: because I don't want to force you as per xda forum rule
Motion actions will not work. It needs native code.

buddy the motion feature is working in cm10.1 (i just tested it in the alarms.. i dont know if the flip to silent phone calls is a touchwhiz feature or not so cant say much about that)

Its a CyanogenMod 7.2 Port but its a ICS UI.
Which means it's not ICS, its just an imitation of it. Although you guys are lucky that Subpyke is working On an Alpha 3 Port of CM9 so ill be working on it.

It looks like its your lucky day, it should work like a charm.
Because if you compare both of the Huawei U8160 And the U8180 the System They are quite similar.
Just make sure to do a full backup before you install. because I haven't tested it on the U8180, but it should run normal.

I recommend you to flash the latest version which is version 3.
which is a beta version.
i'll tried v2 yesterday ! Its Very fast and stable and i've No problems with keyboard ! i've u8180 .. downloading beta 3

Yes.but I've added more features and stability. I've also edited the firmware files and I've ended up with a new version 4, but I will be discarding it because it restarts randomly so ill be working ongoing v4, just note v3 is a beta version of v2.

Gays i have flashed each and every rom on my awesome p3100 tab nd according to my point of view
the best, stable rom is stock rom of any firmware u can remove preinstalled apps by titanium backup
the best of custom rom is sungsonic by adi almost stable but not fully may cause some force close
aopk or hybrid or cm10 all have bugs

hi I use ics 4.0.4 stock with root. Up can say me what applications bloatware I can secure remove or congelate with titanium? Thanks for attention. Ohh more one thing do you know any patch for loud sound tab2?

U can remove all apps that has samsung word with it in titanium backup except samsung touchwiz and samsung keyboard. u can also remove these if u r using other launcher and keyboard. in case u need a factory reset u should convert ur own installed launcher into system app by titanium otherwise u will not be able to see home screen again
u can remove stock browser named as internet in titanium .
there are many other processes that can be remove the best way is freez one process or app at one time and check wether it effects or not if not then remove it
U can use acid audio engine download it from bellow but i suggest u sungsonic rom by adi it has built in sound enhancement drivers and it is jeelybean

not sure but might work the rom i said have bugs with some apps u can remove them otherwise it is stable and have good sound enhancement driveres.
if u just update ur tab to official jeally bean u will notice a much difference becoz it has update drivers
The problem is my tablet is model3100 with 3g .and in my country not have jb update yet. I have nexus Samsung with jb and love system. So if I install the plugin sound link u talk me. That say galaxy S3. I can install here?

make backup before install. i am sure it will not cause any problem and will solve out your sound problem
i used it on xperia before and the folder i download was named by siii but it worked well

if u like jelly bean why u dont flash firmware of other country it will not cause any problem but the phone model should be same
I have this tablet just for 4 days. Just root and install. Apks. Jb room for 3100 I not see yet. Do you have one link? It's just install for reboot cwm?

place it in external or internal card and flash via recovery
before flashing go to cwm wipe data,cache dalvic cache system and after flashing wipe dalvick cache again it is necessary it has each and every language use language enabler app that is preinstalled in it is to be noted that is is for p31xx means p3100 and others
But this works in 3100?cuz 3100 it's 3 get and others are not 3g.so do you have one link talk about this especific room?its just because I want have sure that this room is right for me. Anyway thanks for all help.

I have tried three of the roms like sunsonic,dark knight and paranoid android- I think the best and most stable is Paranoid android rom.

Try PAC man ROM it's uber cool. I'm new to all this flashing and things but so far I've tried aokp, cyanogenmod and sungsonic on my p3100 and I must say I love PAC man. It has got so many advantages over any ROM. :sly::beer:

My experience about best rom is ICS 4.0.4 for p3100,
A real and unique tablet ui.
Cm 10.1 , aokp etc. Are just time pass, we return to stock after 5 days of custom rom.
SAMSUNG KNOWS WHICH IS BEST UI FOR EVERY DEVICE.
So stay calm and switch to stock...

Complete and utter nonsense. Stock roms are there because they (samsung) have to work with hardware launch-dates and factory-defaults at a certain time and date. Stock roms are the LEAST secure android releases out there, the most buggy, malware and advertisement driven warez go towards stock roms.
Boy, every one has its own experiece for best rom
You do not have have enough mind to work upon this so get some.
Best ROMs are cm/cm based. Samsung has build a big security issue called "Touchwiz" in there ROMs

Just use the SystemUI icons Wifi, gps, data from Brolee past to blue, and battery charging
The systemUI itself is left of the original base
For the rest of the icons, no Brolee is taken!
And credit to me, which gave the basis to LL2 Brolee
Polaris office is not working here... ive deleted some system files but I dont think they were related to polaris...

Polaris office not working here also - it says - unfortunately polaris office has stopped.
Alan, could you consider in next release to make all apps icons in the same style as for example youtube icon? Keep up the great job Best regards!

May I know which version of the overclock kernel does it comes with this ROM? cause currently the OC kernel from kumajaya has issue with HD youtube videos.

I recommend update to 0.4.5, 0.4.3 not too safe (jump to maximum clock about 120ms on boot) for 'overclock sensitive' device.

sorry my battery is old and don't work very good i keep cm7 but i love cm10.1 and cm9 very much i will buy a new battery on monday so i will try monday

Fly mod latest version working fine. Smothness is improved. Do a nandroid backup and try. i already installed. no problem here

Battery is not bad
There is a little lag and high ram usage even after using fly on mod
Its showing , that my internal memory is 418 mb . how is that possible ?
there Is some problem with link2sd ; the second partition is not mounting
Also where can I disable window animations from ?

I prefer TheWhisp' Cm 10.1 because it was stable.
If some minor problem are all solved, it will be the suitable firmware for ace plus of jb experience.:good:
The rom you are talking about has only few apps to make a look s3/s4...
Those apps ;
For launcher : S4 launcher
For lockscreen : on xda portal there is an app for s4 lockscreen without root.
For icon pack & status bar look : S4 cm10.1 theme (paid) / touchwiz 4 theme (free) & slim has inbuild setting but for cm there is in my thread.
& probably by using these apps anyone can get that look on any kinda jb rom like on Cm,slimbean, pac etc.
Fast plus has some extra apps from touchwiz system which is touchwiz keyboard , s4 messenger etc.
But, i guess you can add those too in your cm.
Added some performance scripts too which you can find easily by little bit search on xda.
So basically its package of apps only.

well the thing is that instead of installing all the package and doing all this everytime you reflash a rom, you reflash this and all done
still waiting to know if i can add something "special" but as i dont have knowledge about developing, i cant make a "ROM"
so this could be named a mod?

no, i just helped anooj to repost the rom again on xda, i just deleted those warez
good news, im trying to port kernel 3.x as well but i have no fu**ing idea of how to do it

Better stop it from now :silly:
I think it is too hard and complicated , otherwise you can try your skills on porting ROMs
Installing ubuntu , dependencies , Python , Java v6 , etc. is just beginning ,however these looked hard for me , tough things

im learning now all the possible languages, and ubuntu crashes so i guess i did nothing
about porting roms i was thinking maybe i port 4.3 but i really dont know how.
maybe we can create a post here in general and we can all contribute to make the rom working?
if not 4.3 maybe 4.2 again, hopefully we have less bugs? but as the whis is working on that i will get back to the 4.3 idea.
and if we do it we could help the whisp as well

Please leave 4.3 because ,(if you ever tried on another phone) it doesn't bring SO SO big differences
I'd recommend you to work on 4.x.2 ,probably something we have nevrt seen ,like miui? AOKP?
