Battery mod for TF700 - Asus Transformer TF700

I've been happy with the color mod for our device, but I want a different battery icon. I used the UOT kitchen to make a theme for my phone and want a similar appearance. I found a link for a battery mod but I'm not sure if it will work on our device (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742407) I like the Gauge icons, but want them in color FFFF00 (yellow) to go with my color theme (thanks again pjc21)
Should this mod be safe for our device?

Just flashed them both. Thanks again for the gauge. I like how the charging animation runs through the numbers. The boot animation didn't work. Still have stock asus. I did a backup, flashed the battery, wiped both, flashed animation, wiped again, rebooted.
I'm Polish bred, Alabama educated, and government trained. Trust me. If I'm surviving, there's hope for you too!

*All of my modifications can also be found on brieflygeek*
I have been doing a bunch of evo modding on my free time, and have created a few things so far. I wanted to make a spot on these forums to keep all my stuff and make it available to you all. I will update this as I go.
*Please nandroid before performing any of these modifications, for I am not responsible for anything that might result. That said, I have tested every mod I release for myself and assured they work.*

Smooth sense battery mod *UPDATED 8.20.2010*
This mod WILL replace your framework-res, meaning any mods you have flashed will reset to stock.
This is a battery mod which adds many more battery images to your framework. With this, every percentage change is shown with a change in battery. I got this from an incredible port, which you may have seen, but removed actual percent as I am not a huge fan. This also includes the GPS and SYNC animated icons.
Installation
To install, just flash as you would a rom from recovery. This is tested and confirmed working on the newest fresh, but *should* work on any rom based off the new official 2.2. As of right now, this package is NOT signed, meaning clockwork will be required to flash.

Splash Screens *UPDATED 8.30.2010*
These are my current splash screens. I will update as I make more.
Installation
The files attached can be flashed through bootloader.
Boot your phone into fastboot (hold vol up key while powering phone on, select fastboot)
Now open command. To verify your computer is recognizing your phone, type
Code:
fastboot devices
This should list your device. After that, you want to unzip the file you downloaded and place it in your android sdk tools folder.
Now, back in command, change to your tools directory and enter
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splash.raw565
*NOTE* you need to pay attention to the file name. I name these files as I can't have all my splash screens being named splash. You either must change the filename to splash.raw565 if it isn't already, or replace the correct file name in the command.

here are some screens. Toasts, selections and pop ups have all been kept stock aosp. Credit goes to myn for the battery its using *right now*and the wallpaper and manup for the icons. Let me know what you guys think.
Now, I have slowly been adding more droid icons for ones that manup didn't include in his pack. If you notice in the screenshots, we now have torch, superuser, and carhome. I will have to release these apks on the side because obviously not everyone will have all the apps. So I will be making icons for common downloaded apps or things you guys suggest over time.

Sweet. Going to try it out.
Quick thought... do you think after flashing your framework, using metamorph to replace other bettery icons, such as mine, would be able to use all animations now? Or is there something specific you changed within the icon files?

If your metamorphs essentially replace the same framework files as mine, with the same names, then it will work. Open up the framework in that zip and all the modified battery icons will be in res/drawable-hdpi-v4.

Nice. It works now. Weird thing is the charging animations are a little weird. They were switching back between "charging" states and "Full" states. Kinda hard to explain. I'm gona tweak around a little bit to see what I can come up with.
If you don't mind, could I tweak with your framework? I don't want to take credit for ur awesome work. ^_^ I'll give u credit for the framework in any post I do with it. Again, if u dont mind.

do it! Thats why I posted it mang. enjoy
as for you charging icons, could be that you're not using as many as this mod. there are 32 icons in this framework for charging, and if I counted correctly the ones you posted contain 24? If those are the ones you're using of course.. this would explain why its possibly not finding the icons and defaulting.

Wow, what a coincidence. Persibro did this as well. I am also making a manup theme version, only mine uses the manup icons.
Great minds think alike I suppose.
EDIT: Nvm, I just realized you saw my first version of the port in another thread and that yours doesn't have the %. I think this version would be good to port to Cyanogen.
any chance these mods will play nicely with the cm6 nightly builds? i know the framework is a bit different than the 2.2 sense roms, so i'm kind of hesitant in trying this out.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the percentage display so I took it out. Im also working on cleaning the icons up a bit, because although you can't see them on the actual screen, there are some border issues. Not sure if this was the original intention, but I'm changing it
If anyone is interestd in any particular colors let me know and I can work on them.

[THEME] Greys and Blacks V1.2.1 (with more battery icon choices) Updated 6/28/11

***AS THIS THEME IS OUT DATED AND MAY NOT WORK ON THE LATEST ROMS FOR FROYO, I HAVE REMOVED ALL OF THE DOWNLOAD LINKS***
So this is my first attempt at making a theme. Its really just the stock theme but with the colors changed to greys and blacks. After several different approaches to this and several attempts (for me this is really version 5ish because I am new to this). I finally have something I'm proud enough to release.
I am personally running Gummycharge 1.8.1 ROM by kejar31 and PeanutButta Jelly Time Kernel by imnuts, so I know this theme works with those.
To Come
- Remove Location Icon
- More battery icons
Themed:
Framework-res.apk
twframework-res.apk
dialertabactivity.apk
mms.apk
contacts.apk
Updates:
- (6/28/11) I've now got 8 different battery icon sets up and running on v1.2.1. See the images below and the download links for them.
- (6/27/11) Well like I said, I'd be working on some new battery icons and I've got 2 up and running. I have two new versions out, the first is the same icon as before, but now it shows the battery percent while charging (Battery 1). The second is the Gingerbread battery I believe (Battery 2). Both of these were made using UOT Kitchen which makes it really easy to do these, so I'll have a few more out later. See images below of battery icons.
- (6/27/11) Found some more images I wanted to edit to clean things up a bit. v1.1.1 and v1.2.1 both have these updates. v1.2.1 also has syaoran12's updated reboot options which hopefully remove some of the bugs that I saw. Namely, occasionally the battery would indicated the wrong charge, or just show the wrong image period.
- (6/27/11) Added install instructions to OP
- (6/26/11) Some new screenshots are up.
- (6/26/11) Just in case people try out the reboot options mod and do not like it or want to go back for whatever reason, I have also included a patch for reinstalling the original android.policy.jar and framework.jar. You will need to clear cache and dalvik, install that zip, then install whatever theme you want.
- (6/26/11) I implemented syaoran12's reboot options to the phone options dialogue in v1.2. I think his changes were fantastic, I had been hoping someone would release that option, so all credit goes to him for that one. You can see the original post herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137341&highlight=power+options
- (6/26/11) I noticed that I didn't change the color of the wifi on in the dropdown menu, so that is fixed in v1.1. I also changed the popup windows to grey from the orange that they were.

As usual, flash this theme at your own risk, myself, xda, nor anyone other than yourself is responsible for damages to your phone.
If you give the theme a shot and like it, leave me a thanks, or a post so I know if its worth continuing to update.
Credits:
- I used the numbers on the dial pad from gummycharged by kejar31. I don't think I used anything in the theme from anywhere else, but if I did, I apologize for not crediting the original source.
- The Reboot Options are directly from syaoran12, so all credit to him

I am running your theme now and flash went ok. I am on kejar31 gummy charge v1. 8. 1 Rom and kernel. I recommend you update the OP to indicate that this is flashed via CWR & some basic instructions would help the newbies that want to try (I am using the most recent update of CWR posted on kejar's gummy charge thread). so far this running great on my phone. looks awesome! has great contrast in all menues and selections. I would recommend losing the location indicator on the status bar most custom ROM users ask for that to be removed, you might consider a mod to add it back if there's some folks that want it.
Keep up the good work this is staying on my phone for a long time.

I'm glad you like it Blanco954. I updated the OP with installation instructions. I will look into removing the location icon from the status bar, shouldn't take too long I don't think. I am also going to make a few different varieties with different battery icons, since people seem to like options for that.
You knocked it off the park with your detailed instructions. A lot of folks will appreciate the time and effort. I haven't found any bugs so no news is good news. Excellent job on your first release I look forward to some more themes and updates from your kitchen.

I haven't yet figured out removing the location icon. I don't just want to make it a blank image, I want to actually remove it, so it takes a little more effort than originally planned. WOOHOO!!!!!!
So after a few hours on this GB release, I really don't like the look of it. I very much preferred the look of the froyo theme that came with the phone, not to mention the grainy text (I know this will be fixed eventually, but for now it looks bad). I originally had planned on sticking with it and theming it, but really its just not worth it right now. I'm not satisfied with this leaked build, I'm going back to froyo until something more developed comes along. Sorry to leave anybody hanging.
This theme boot looped me (GummyCharged_GBE_1.8) ...off to odin.

[MOD] Battery Percentage MOD Collection

If anyone has any particular requests and you can let me know where to get the necessary image files, or at least an example of the style you want, I can compile different versions for you.
So here is the collection of Battery Percentage Mods for the stock Sensation ROM in 2.3.3, 2.3.4, and for Sensation XE-based ROMs. It should work on other ROMs as long as they use an unmodified framework-res.apk from the ROMs mentioned above.
If you encounter any bugs, please let me know. I am not responsible if these damage your phone beyond your ability to repair.
Make sure you nandroid backup before trying these, just in case.
Enjoy!
To flash the mod without any issues, follow these directions:
1. Copy whatever mod you want to your SD card.
2. Flash in clockwork recovery.
3. Clear Cache
4. Clear Dalvik Cache (In advanced menu).
5. Boot up... should work now.
If you have had any issues or if you get a black screen on boot up, follow these directions to fix and flash a mod.
This is the most reliable way to resolve issues once they come up:
1. Copy Stock Battery Mod to your SD card.

None of the 2.3.4 battery mods posted will work with an Evo3D ROM.
Sorry, but the mods for Evo3D ROMs need to be compiled using different frameworks, so there's no way to make them compatible with the Sensation mods... I'd have to start making versions specifically for the Evo3D.
The XE MODs have been confirmed to work on 1.72 and 1.73-based ROMs.
CM7 Theme Engine Compatible Themes are here!
The "Theme Engine" mods are compatible with the theme engine that is used in CM7. These themes will install differently than previous mods, so please note the information below:
- These apks are only compatible with a ROM that uses the T-mobile Theme Engine that CM7 started including in their ROM.
- The Battery Mods are simply .apks that can be downloaded and installed/uninstalled just like any other app. There is no need to go to recovery or even reboot.
- You can have multiple Battery Mods installed on your phone at any given time, and switch using the Theme Engine depending on your mood.
- You will get an error that the theme is missing assets for your device's screen resolution. IGNORE THIS and hit "Apply anyway" to apply the Battery Mods.
- It's possible that an FC will occur when installing/uninstalling this. It doesn't affect anything, happens only once, and can be ignored. I'm looking into the cause.

I've just added one to the OP as per your request.
Basically, it's the stock battery icon in White. There's no charging bolt or red icon when the battery runs low. Let me know if you'd like either of these 2 things changed, or if the one posted is good for your needs.
Really useful, thanks!

If the one you flashed was "Sense Style Battery", then it does have the %.
Is your battery fully charged? It doesn't have a 100% because it can't fit, so if your battery is full you'll only see the icon.
If not, then the flash might not have taken, and you can try again.
oww, yes phone was on 100%
will flash it again, thanks!

I remember from the Desire days that the Rom should be Deodexed for this stuff to work... someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If so this should be added to the first post to save people the hassle.
Thanks OP for your effort.

[Theme][CWM] MonoRework V2.5 [UPDATED 10/10 Now also V10k Compatible)

Hi guys this is something ive been working for quite a while now, gradually perfecting it but there is still stuff to add. This is for people that like a minimal black and white look.
Now I have started in the xml stuff ive improved upon version 1 enough to consider this version 2.
Things i would like to change next are:
-Change some more inbuilt apps to match the theme(requests if you want anything in particular)
-Change charging colour on lockscreen (still currently green, think I know how to do this but having probs compiling stuff still)
-Improve/change more in app icons and colours
-Add Reboot, Recovery and Download to power menu option (main priority for V3)
-If possible enable the standard android lockscreen (got some nice sliders to use already in framework)
Any help and advice will be highly appreciated.
Change log 03/10 & 10/10
-Changed to black and white honeycomb popups
-Fixed battery animation
-System setting text now grey for the people having probs with certain apps.
-Changed over to the latest v10k framework
-Fixed up alarm and headset notification icons
-This is the framework only for now until i edit the apps
-Link at bottom of post also may not work with no clock patch
Change log 04/09 & 12/09
-(Latest)Disable the slow blur animation behind the power menu now pops up quick
-Enabled black menu/sub menu popups and solved black text issue for it too
-Got white text in setting
-Added honeycomb lockscreen font
Change log 25/08
-Added slightly modded camera apk
-Added Phone and Contacts
-Added Power off Animation
-Added Clock
-Updated some more menu/notification icons
-Updated toast again, and other minor changes to framework res
-Now as a flashable zip
-Added deodex version.(Only for deodexed roms like Waterbear 2.0)
To install this, just copy the zip on to your phone and install through CWM.
Im currently using my latest version on Thiaiz 1.4 rom, but should work on Acura and boostermbkking roms based on the same version. Please tell me if you find that it dosn't work on your rom.
As with anything on xda always do a backup and if you need help just ask.

No Clock Patch Added To First Post
25/08/2011
After wrestling about 6 hours with my crappy laptop to get everything together ive managed to make the no clock patch. This should work on all deodexed V10 based roms.
hi
thx for your work =)
this is the first alternative theme
can you make all the silver/grey icons blue? that would be nice
i flash it nevertheless
damn nice!!!!
is there any way we can get rid of the clock and get an all black taskbar background?? that'll be the bomb!
tapatalk'd in 3d with my optimus
@Joker thanks but ive not really got time to make colour variations but i might make something blue next.
@gewuerzwiesel1977 im currently updating it to a black taskbar and changing some popup things should be up soon.
Updates up, only dropbox at the moment. My laptop and internets messed up

Hi this is my first thread and my first theme. Just something ive made in my spare time and i would like to ask your advice on how and what i should change.I have pretty much no experience at theming, just copy and past really but ive made this from a mashup of other themes and using bits from the UOT kitchen. Most of the graphics have been changed to a grey but some things i dont know how to do, thats why i have put a beta status on it.
Known things/bugs i would like to change are:
-System settings colour (currently blue)
-Change inbuilt apps colour (working on some already)
-Change charging colour on lockscreen (currently green)
-Improve notification and app icons
-Make a flashable zip
Downloads are dropboxed at the moment cause my computer is being awkward.
Framework Res- db.tt/8FB4rPz
Settings- db.tt/eDA61J2
LGE Res- db.tt/LUkwC74
App Manager- db.tt/3jExiMR
Any help and advice will be appreciated.
To install this, copy the framework apk and lge rs into the framework folder and copy the setting apk and application manager apk into the app folder to do this you must be rooted.
This theme is working on firmware V10D(stock) and WaterBear 1.0, i havnt tested on anything else.
Change log 14/08

-Updated toast and frames
-Changed to black status bar
As with anything on xda always do a backup.

[MOD] AOSP style System Mod v1.2.1 with circle battery & bright custom autobrightness

[MOD] AOSP style System Mod v1.2.1 with circle battery & bright custom autobrightness
Hi!
Again I took the wonderful Mods from shaftenberg and enhanced them to my likings.
This is what you get with this pack:
Framework:
- Shaftenberg AOSP lockscreen mod 2.1 with upper part of the lockscreen reverted to stock moto (with sound on/off toggle)
- Original green notification LED, because this lets system apps flash green and other apps flash blue
- No more blue gradient backgrounds (by shaftenberg)
- Bright custom autobrightness for good readability under all conditions. I really like the vivid colors of the screen and don't want to sacrifice them for battery savings. My goal was to keep the perceived brightness stable under all inside conditions.
Starts at 33% in darkness and ramps up to 100% at above 1600 Lux (outside, cloudy day) using 15 steps from a plain exponential curve.
100% is reached early, because the screen isn't bright enough for really sunny conditions, so I see no sense in furher regulation when outside.
Status bar:
- Based on shaftenberg mod
- Centered clock (by arman68), slightly larger (but not bold) in holo blue
- Circle / percentage battery in holo blue, turns red under 15% (added with UOT kitchen further restyled by me)
- Signal bar with no pixelation color matched to WIFI signal bar
- All Radio related Icons color matched to the WIFI signal bar blue (so they are all a little darker than the clock and battery)
- Settings and clear notifications icons changed to original AOSP
Settings menu:
- All icons changed to AOSP style
- Misleading menu item "privacy" ("Datenschutz") renamed to "backup & reset" ("Backup und zurücksetzen")
Only flash, when you are on Jelly Bean 4.1.2!
Do a Nandroid backup before flashing (or backup framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, Settings.apk and the corresponding .odex files if you are on a odexed rom), just in case you want to revert later.
There are two versions of this pack - one for stock and one for those who want to flash on top of AIOmod. Be careful to flash the right version or you won't be able to access your SD card anymore (until you flash the right version).
Attention brazilian users: I've made a version that works on Brazilian stock ROM. Please don't flash the NeXus Softkey Mod or you will get force closes. If there is demand for a brazilian version for AIO mod (I have no idea if AIO mod itself is compatible with brazilian ROMs anyhow) or for the NeXus softkeys, then tell me.
By popular demand I added a mod for my mod that changes the Softkeys to the blue NeXus style with the coloured X instead of the home symbol. This ZIP only contains SystemUI, so you can flash it on top of both versions. Don't flash on top of the brazilian version!
Tools used for my modding activities:
- Virtuous Ten Studio
- ImageMagick (command line image manipulation)
- win-bash (UNIX Bash Shell for Windows)
- Greenfish Icon Editor Pro
- WinMerge
- Notepad++
- my brain
Changelog:
v1.1: Bluetooth symbol is now the same (darker) grey like airplane mode symbol, when bluetooth connection is active it turns to the same blue as the other radio related symbols. The annoying red "emergency calls only" symbol is now grey (also same grey as airplane mode symbol).
v1.2: Reworked the circle battery. Now with visible dark inactive circle segments (50% grey, 50% opacity) and restyled darker and flatter plug symbol. New NFC icon (modified cm10.1 icon). "Bluetooth active, not connected" icon is now the same grey as the other icons left of the signal cluster (white, 40% opacity), same for the "silent" icon, which was solid grey, whereas the "vibrate" icon already was that translucent grey. Some other very minor color corrections.
v1.2.1: Reverted the upper part of the lockscreen back to stock moto. It's also plain holo style and I like to have the sound on/off toggle and I like the divider line under the date. You can still flash over the NeXus Softkeys if you want.
v1.2.1a: People reported that the 1.2.1 lockscreen change was not present in version for stock. This is a corrected version.

All values of the sensor and the brightness arrays are points on an exponential curve, because brightness perception is logarithmic.
When you put these values on a diagram with logarithmic x and y-axis you get a straight line.
I left the config_displayTempThresholdValues, config_displayTempHysteresisValues and config_displayProtectionCapValues arrays on their stock values, because I couldn't find any documentation what they exactly do.

Should be, but not tested. If it doesn't work like expected just flash over the Omar ROM again. This mod can't do an harm to your phone.
Use stock version if you don't have the SD swap option installed and use AIO version if you have the SD swap installed.

If tested it on a fresh stock install, and get the forces closes also. On my existing installation it worked like a charm.
Removed the downloads for now and will investigate. Already have an idea what could be wrong...
...seems to be a problem with apk signing process. Building new zips right now and will test...

No! I'm sorry. I made this pack to my likings and I will not split it up in multiple different aspects.
Awesome work! But sadly I am getting bootloop after flashing it. I am flashing it on top of my 982.50.20.xt890.Brasil.en.BR rom (yes, stock). It is unlocked and rooted and I flashed the stock version. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

Unfortunately I have no idea what is different in the Brazil version and why my mod causes a bootloop on it.
Can someone else confirm that there is a problem with my mod on the Brazil ROM?

I added the circle battery with Ultimate Online Theming Kitchen (UOT).
You can upload your SystemUI.apk there, choose a battery and color it to your likings. After a few minutes you can download your modded apk.
New version v1.1 is available on first page.
could you please upload the wallpaper you were using on the screenshots in the first post?
