I am wondering what do you think of idea to create website where android developers could test their apps in real-time on many android devices and see by video capture what is going on and how app is behaving. Do you think that developers need such website?

Like many of others in this forum, I like to try the latest software. One issue I encountered recently is that Android Market is a closed software only available on Google-branded phones.
One idea I got is to create a portal for free android apps. The goal of the portal is to let app developers to make their Android apps available to users who don't have access to Android Market, such as developer phone users, third-party devices that don't have Google experience, and in certain countries that do not have access to Android market.
The portal should be simple enough to start, let app developers publish apps, tag them, or post a link to the apk file. Users can use Android browser to download the apk and install it as apps from unknown sources.

Hi I'm Mark a Web development student in my final year.
Basically for my final project were working with an external company that want stuff done for free or very close, this includes an android app.
The app im going to try to make will be private for the company to give out locations using google maps and gps/geolocation.
The app will be distributed through the site we are developing to certain users and not featured on the marketplace due to privacy issues.
Problem is I've never developed for android or any mobile platforms and have an extremely basic knowledge of Java but i mainly develop for web and windows using c# so naturally I have a few questions for people with experience in android development.
1. Is it possible to have the app powered by google maps?
2. Any suggestions of how one user will be able to upload gps coordinates to this app?
3. Rough idea of how long it would take e.g. few hours, few days, few months?
4. Overall is it possible, any problems I might run into?
5 Any Advice, tips,or better suggestions?

I'm working in a project about use gestures in apps (android, ios and web) with a simple-line code. So, i want implement this development in differents areas, but i need some suggestions.
My project is a software development kit to create gesture-driven apps across all platforms using an online editor and a plugin distribution system. Whether it’s a small or big app, whether it’s on iOS, Android or web, it enables developers and designers to effortlessly integrate gesture control into their applications and to create innovative user experience.

I find there is leak of statistics of android app comparison with other developer, so I create a website force on statistic that let you know rankings of you app, and how well is your app perform.

Suggestions:
- you can represent to 5 or top 10 apps as graphs in Apps Statistics and Developers Statistics
- you can put a description page describing how this tool could be used.
- put a about us page
