I just recently bought a Samsung Omnia W as a gift for my father - that was before the 7.8 update came out. The 7.8 update was supposed to bring some additional language packs (rumors of course)... but obviously it didn't. The problem is that my father doesn't want to use the device without Slovene language. I was just wondering if it is possible to somehow hack one of the existing languages to something different? Basically a custom translation.

Hey guys!
I recently (Yestarday) ditched my iPhone 4 and decided to give this wonderful phone a go. I love this phone and it's Metro UI, But the only thing that is missing is the Brazilian Portuguese Display language.
I don't get how they could take that out but keep the region format system locale and browse & search language!
I was wondering how i can get my hands on installing the Portuguese (Brazil) language pack on my HTC HD7S & how to install it.
I have the latest updates installed (just finished installing them)
I was going to do a method but it seems that some of the tutorials are device specific.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Thanks for the help!
Have the same problem with my AT&T surround and Italian. Do not know why they remove all the langs?
However it looks like they are there but not selectable (I was able to load Italian Language Pack but I cannot choose it on my phone...)
Heya,
My kid just got a Teclast P76 Ti in x-mas present. Can I do anything to it without ruin the whole tablet setup?
I've been searching and did not see anything about updating or rooting these devices.
One thing I've seen in the tablet is in the language settings.. the last 3 options are in chinese, how do I change that?
And is t possible to alter the OS in any way?
If so... To what?
Language selection options are usually in the language the person wants. The Chinese options will be for Chinese languages and anyone wanting these can read them. For example, if I wanted to set the language to Thai, the entry would say Thai in Thai script not in English.

Hello everybody,
I've just bought a Surface Pro today in Beijing China. (Day 1)
Unlike the Chinese version of Surface RT I also own, it appears to be impossible to change the UI to English (or French). From the control panel language section, I always get a message in Chinese saying this Chinese version of Windows can't use English.
If I set my local settings to English, most of the Metro app work in English, but all the Metro settings or desktop side will of course stay in Chinese.
I haven't found any separated language pack to download and I fear that won't be possible to use without at least a registry hack.
Is there a workaround to solve this big problem ?
Or is it possible to flash a stock ROM of the US version ? Where could I get it ?
Thanks for your help, it would be highly appreciated.

Hi!
I bought Htc windows phone 8X, and I read that Windows phone 8 comes with built in Hebrew, but when I received my phone I discovered that there is no Hebrew in it(only in the keyboard) .
I get along pretty well with English but my sister not, so I want to ask if there is any way to add Hebrew to the phone.
Thanks for help!
Hello everybody,
First off I'd like to thank all the developers and contributors to this Forum, you're doing a great job :good:. Although this is my first post, I've been following this forum for a while now and learned lots of good things.
Now the problem...
I have a Samsung Galaxy Core LTE (SM-G386W) from Fido Canada. It only came with 5 default system languages (English, French, Korean, Chinese and one more - don't really know what it is) and I'd like to know if it's possible to install others. I bought this phone for someone that doesn't understand/speak any of the languages above, I'd like to enable/install Romanian language pack.
Phone is rooted. I tried already a bunch of apps such as Language Enabler but the results aren't satisfactory, a few app names and messages get translated but the menus stay in English. Besides when I go to Language and input menu, it shows me Romanian (Romania) selected but if I press on it, the drop down list still only shows the original 5 languages I can chose from. Therefore I assume the enabling is not permanent nor complete.
I also tried flashing a ROM from the similar model in Europe (SM-G386F) but it didn't go through.
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you.
