Gimlo rom - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

i have a question regarding gimlo rom installation.
it asks to format the system partition. in case i want to get back to the stock rom can i do that just by using the restore function of cwm by selecting the backup made earlier?

Yes, you can with full settings and apps installed earlier. I did that.
PS: Using CWM v6 by srl3gx on Miro.

i have installed gimlo 0.2 on my Miro. but im having some issues.
first of all now it does not detect some wifi networks specially the adhoc networks. whereas those networks are visible in other devices and computers. how to fix that?
next, i want to have the stock timescape, where can i get it?
i tried the one from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28100360
but it did not install.

Why are you posting here and not in the X8 section??
You've soft bricked your phone. Exactly what rom was you trying to install? To fix it repair the phone using PC companion or SUES. For more help post in the X8 section.

Can you explain the installation completely? How can the CMW.zip be used to install the keyboard? Does the android phone handle zip files as standalone running installers? since when?
When I installed the clockworkmod, there is nothing, no icon to access it.
so, where? how?

[Q] plzz help with my xperia e ss with xboost rom

I am using xperia e ss and i have installed xboost rom with ics recovery kernel posted by xmoose. The rom is excellent and has no lag and the ram optimisation is amazing. the only issue i am facing is whenever i enable my data access over mobile network it shows enabled in the settings and the notification slot too but it doesnt connects at all. idk why is this occurring in my device. I have followed each and every step correctly and have no other issue but this one. what should i do.
Sorry for my bad english.

I had the same issue. What I did was:
1. Connect to a wifi network.
2. Go to Settings > Dual Sim card > Untick Sim 1 and then tick it again
3. Go to Settings > Xperia^tm > Internet settings.
It will download the settings and then it should work, hopefully.
Good luck.

Flashing Xboost changes your model number! C1504 will become C1604 and C1505 will become C1605. Just edit the build.prop to fix this.
