How to install MT65xx preloader USB driver? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I have a S7180 phone equipped with MTK6577 spec. I want to root the phone.
When I shutdown the phone and unplug the battery, connect the usb cable to pc. The device manager keep flashing detecting "MT65xx preloader" device. I have tried few usb driver for the MT65xx device and never success to use "Read Back" in flash_tools.
Any ideas how may I proceed with flash_tools for the phone?

Bricked my cubot S550

Somehow I have managed to brick my new cubot S550.
I wanted to update the rom so I headed to needarom and downloaded the appropriate rom and followed the instructions but somewhere along the line by pressing the vol keys and the power key the screen has gone black. This was done before I used any flash tools or install any drivers.
when I did plug it into the computer it was initially being seen as an unknown device but now I managed to install some drivers and it shows up as mediatek DA USB VCOM (android) (COM 5) I can install other drivers such as mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port and MTK USB Port and they seem to install but only after I untick show compatible hardware. When that is ticked then only mediatek DA USB VCOM shows in the list so I assume the state it is in is mediatek DA USB VCOM (android) (COM 5).
Unfortunately when I follow the instructions on needarom it throws up the error message S_COM_PORT_OPEN Fail(1013) so the flash tool obviously cannot communicate with the phone. This is the same even if I install the drivers as mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM.
The instructions on needarom are sort of wrong anyway because it instructs you to remove the battery etc but it is not a phone that has a removable battery.
I have two main questions.
How can I update the rom or failing that how can I get it off this black screen? I have tried different version of pressing the power button and vol keys and nothing is working.

Hi,
I had a quite similar problem. I tried to flash recovery with SP flash tool, but nothing happened. Eventually I gave up and tried to turn on the phone without success. So I charged the phone for a while and tried several combinations of holding power and volume up button for a while, also without success. It turned out that it did not charge at all. Strangely enough the following worked:
Connect the phone to a charger -> Press Power and Volume up -> Unplug charger while holding Power and Volume up
This launched the bootloader. After a few seconds it turned off again. But now I was able to charge the phone again and after a short while the regular charging icon appeared. Now I can boot it up as usual.
Hopefully it works for you as well!

Failure flashing on Lenovo -- mediatek port VCOM(COM5) turn to mediatek port (COM5)

i have a device Lenovo A2010, it is rooted via kingroot. i encrypted it and when it reboot it stuck on logo. i tried resenting by pressing volume up and power(it is the hard reset of lenovo A2010 dont get confuse) but nothing happen.
i used SP FLASH TOOL and when it is working already i accidentally remove the usb port and now it shows drom error...
i also recognize that my device name on Device Manager has change... before it is MediaTek USB port VCOM (COM5) but now it is just MediaTek USB port (COM5)
i hope there is a way solving may problem. thank you in advance

Bricked Phone USB not recognized by PC

Need help. I was using Miracle Box to flash stock ROM, I don't know how but the phone (Micromax E453) is bricked now. I tried to start phone in Meta Mode (swiched off phone connected to PC by holding volume up button), it worked once, then following some tutorials I uninstalled (and checked, Delete the driver software for this device) MTK USB COM driver under port. Since then phone is not turning on and PC is not recognizing the device. Tired changing the USB cable and even tried it on another laptop, but no go. Kindly share what else I can try. PC has Windows 10 64 bit and MTK preloader vcom driver always has yellow exclamation mark (always installs with error code 10). I have disabled driver signature verificiation.

Did you have USB debugging enabled in the device's system settings before it got bricked? If not, you might not get it to connect via USB and be recognized.

Thank you for your response. Yes, USB debugging was enabled before it got bricked. I was able to successfully see my device when I ran adb -devices command. I was also able to run fastboot commands. Now its completely dead.
