Are we sure there is ONE XL in the UK? not keen on moving it without knowing exactly.
Actually yes, i have had one in here before, but let's be sure then ....
@ the OP, please put your phone in the.bootloader and tell us what's written on top. Does it say EVITA or ENDEAVORU ?

Ah yes, then you have to go to the at&t rogers HTC one xl forum ... of flash something from here you might end up with a bricked phone. I suggest that whiskey will move this to the correct forum.
Maybe this can help you
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952426
It's a link to root tools for your phone in the correct forum
Good luck

Hey buddy
I also have the UK One XL
Rotting is easy, use the HTC method, it's in this forum just have a quick look
I currently run ViperXL rom but any rom in the Rogers forum here should work
Also my hboot is 1.14 and for me this means no boot/kernel flashing works through recovery so I have to use fastboot
So quick someup:
Use HTC method to unlock bootloader
Fastboot flash recovery (I use twrp)
Flash rom in recovery
If rom fails to boot:
Fastboot flash boot (will be in main directory of the rom you downloaded)
Good luck and have fun buddy
EDIT: Just created a new UK HTC One XL Information/Guide thread, check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35518374

Ughhh come on install a sense 4+ rom
Do you know any inn norwegian? The one XL issent out for sale here, so its only english, and i dont wanna mess up the lte its the 2600mhz band that is supported here

X-factor is made specifically for the AT&T version (since before the S-off method, there was no reason for any other version to SuperCID). So that may be why SuperCID is failing for you.
The "manual" method of changing the CID should work for any version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671396
You need to be rooted to change CID. So (as mentioned previously) install TWRP and flash SuperSU in recovery. Or install a rooted ROM. Any Sense based Jellybean ROM will have a working touchscreen.
thank you for info
But i dont wanna ruin my phone, what rom does have sense 4 and norwegian? dont wanna install rom for the quadcore cpu

The newest Venom ViperX custom rom downlaod site?

Hey guys, I am looking at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868236
Which seams to be the most popular and recent post for the ViperX rom but it is showing downloads for version 3.2.7
Then when I go to the team venom website:
http://venomroms.com/forums/showthr...iperX-3-4-0-Sense-4-JellyBean-orig-OTA-Tweaks
It shows downloads for version 3.4.0
I just want to make sure when I download from the venomroms.com site (the 3.4.0) that it is going to work and all with my HTC One X ATT phone.
Thanks for everything!
Nope won't work the one on venomroms is for the international one x flash it and you will brick you want the one from this forum viper xl if you have a at&t phone

You want ViperXL for the AT&T One X. ViperX is for the quad core version, as the above reply noted. Different hardware, different ROMs. Flashing it will fail, or may even damage your device.
Turge is very good about updating this thread here. So don't worry about updates not showing up here.
THANK YOU
Thank you guys so much, you probably saved my phone and me a bunch of trouble. So fast reply, I really appreciate it. I was downloading the ViperX one and it was almost done.
I stopped it and am now downloading the XL version. Thanks so much guys, much appreciated!!!!!
A couple more questions also.
So I had the old android version, before the jellybean update.
This is what I did. Unlock bootloader, root device, turn s-off, install jellybean update, install TWRP, backup.
Now I am going to install the viperXL rom, right? That works right?
The main thing is that its asking me to install SuperSU installer from the TWRP recovery. Should I do this?
Does it matter?
I did all this cause I understood that if I didn't root the phone before the jellybean update that I couldn't do it cause theres no exploit for that out yet. So I think I did it all right, but that do you guys think? And the SuperSU do I install it?
No need to install su viper xl will do that for you just follow the instructions in the op of the viper xl thread

You can subscribe to a thread and get notifications but I am at work and when I am bored I check the forums

[Q] ROM for hboot 1.14

Can someone list 1 good ROM with a boot.img file what will work with an ATT HTC One X with hboot version 1.14. I have looked everywhere and every page just points you to more pages with several ROMS, most of which won't work with my hboot version. Can I get just 1 direct link to 1 good ROM that will work.
My phone version is 2.20.502.7. I have to add that I can ONLY access bootlader since my phone won't start because I think there is no operating system installed.
Thanks
They all work. You just need to learn how to use fastboot to flash the boot.img.
ViperXL is designed to install boot.img via AROMA. But it doesn't always work, and some users have had to do it via adb. So if you are looking for a ROM guaranteed to work with hboot 1.14 for those that can't figure out how to manually flash boot.img. . . there are none.
Here is a Link , I'd do some reading up and make sure you know what you are doing so you don't brick your phone if you haven't already as your previous post you were trying to install wrong rom.

I remember I had to learn the hard way...boot looping (well not really that hard). Anywho, while you are in the those threads, I suggest looking for facepalm s-off...then again, if you are not understanding fastboot, then s-off is not for you. By the way, I tested plenty of roms, and I am running 1.14 right now
Thanks guys. I fixed the issue with my phone where I had to fix my corrupted sd card first, and then I could install a ROM that was compatible with my phone.
And Redpoint73, not all HTC One X roms work with all HTC One X phones. If they did, this thread would not have been made in the first place.

And what roms don't run on these phones? Only one x roms I know that aren't compatible are for the international version.... Different hardware.
Hboot don't make a bit of difference o Rom install.. someone needs to learn a little more before assuming that he is correct

Any ROM on here and here will work.
Obviously ROMs meant for a completely different device (which the quad core One X is) will not work.
I didn't bother to type "any ROM meant for our hardware (EVITA) will work" because I assumed that you were smart enough to know what I meant, without me having to go into unnecessary detail.
Where can I download this Any Rom? Is it a mixture of roms? JK

You probably shouldn't be flashing anything, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

[Q] Problems reinstalling Stock ROM

Hi there.
I'm really, really new on this subject, but this weekend i tried booting my HTC One X into Cyanogenmod. Unfortunately i was not satisfied as my Internet Browsers (Built-in and Chrome) kept crashing.
I now want to get back to the Stock ROM, but i'm uncertain what to do. I browsed this page for way too long last night, but there was no help to find.
Upon installation of Cyanogenmod, i createda back-up which i tried restoring from, but after that it could not boot, and this very moment i'm scared i bricked my phone or something.
While my phone was working i downloaded the correct Stock ROM and placed it on my SD-card. I tried installing it via recovery mode, but the installation aborted.
Any help would be fantastic, but please keep in mind that i'm new on the subject, and english isn't my primary language.
Cheers.
Firstly, is your phone the HTC One X (Endeavoru) or the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita)?

One X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Looks like One X to me -
Anyways - I found RUU + guide HERE . My phone booted the stock system now, but i can't Unlock it (Screen-lock, finger-swipe thing you know).
Any advice on this?
Nope. Take it from someone who knows what they're talking about, someone who is on this forum every single day because I have the One XL. I can't give you any advice because I don't know anything about your phone because you're asking in the wrong forum. You have the HTC One X, and I'll say again this is the HTC One XL / at&t One X forum, completely different device.
