Com.htc.bg taking space on my mobile

Hello. There is a system app that bothers me called com.htc.bg. Please could someone tell me what this application does and how I could resize or shrink it without danger.
From a HTC Explorer A310e using XDA.

I think com.htc is something to do with the system framework.

I uninstalled com.htc and my phone would not boot properly. I restored my phone although I had an md5 mismatch and reflashed my recovery.:screwy:
I should not uninstall com.htc.:thumbdown:

1. No it doesn't
2. It will but why do you want to use it on sense 3.5 when it has that awesome clock widget already in which the clock flips too
