Not the only possible solution but, for me, Moon+ Reader (or EzPDF) and IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ do a good (almost acceptable) job.

+1 Moon+ reader....

Then you want a pdf reader! ;-)
aldiko is my fav
I really like iReader
Aldiko is by far the best reader on the market.
If you want to convert books to epub or pdf, you can use a free program called Calibre. http://calibre-ebook.com/
i thought with Kindle you couldn't import books?
wow, glad i looked at this thread. aldiko is so much better than the one i was told about just a few days ago, laputa.

[Q] Google Reader for side-loaded PDFs?

Is it possible to get side-loaded PDFs to show up in Google Reader?
I have ezPDF Reader (free in Amazon Appstore a while ago) but it's not as clean a UI as Google Reader
For that matter can anyone get it to load side-loaded EPUB. As far as I can tell you cannot.
I use repligo for pdf.

Doesn't Aldiko Book Reader do it ?
Maybe you misunderstand me. I'm not looking for an alternative - I already have ezPDF, which is fine - I'm looking to see if there's a way to get PDFs visible in the Google Books app.
I'm assuming not.

So the only way to get books into this is to actually *gasp* purchase them?
I was looking at a few books to purchase on there a bit ago.. wow... expensive... come on... lower the prices ... there is no need for them to be that much. lol

That's not what bothers me. I have a number of tech PDFs that I'd like to use. Right now I'm using ezPDF, but it has it's issues. And I really like the bookshelf motif in Google Books.

I was being sarcastic. I searched the whole T.F. directory tree last night looking for where they might store the .pdf and I couldn't find it either. Don't know where the files are actually kept?
I'd like to import some stuff in there as well because it just looks "cleaner"

[Q] eBooks

Is there any way to get free ebooks that are readable on my phone using the Play Books app or any other app?
Sure, there are lots of public domain books from the 1800 and 1900's and books people release for free. If you're looking for pirated books, wrong forum. That's not supported here.
Pirate bay or kickass torrents both are great places for free ebooks.

Looking more for ebooks with file types that are readable from my phone
Just use fbreader in the play store or something similar and you can read almost any format.

I'll throw in my vote for aldiko. Really good ebook reader. You can use epub, pdf and other formats on it and you can use calibre to manage your collection
There is Kindle Reader as well, if that is your source.
And overdrive
I don't know why you had to edit and bold the READABLE ON MY PHONE part, any ebook is readable on ANY phone with the proper software and you were given a bunch of different readers to try. I use coolreader.

As I student, how I can make use off?

Hi everyone, I want to buy this tablet very soon ~ any way, I'm interested in a feature that will determine whether to buy it or not
;
;
;
Can I download a PDF books (about 1000 paper) and use s-pen to add notes and highlight things, then leave and go back and find all data I add there.
Repeat the question but put PowerPoint instead of PDF, thank you.

For pdf, you can achieve this with ezpdf amongst others. For PowerPoint, you probably will have to convert to pdf before annotating.
But both can definitely be done.

I am a student too. I bought the note just for school, but I use it now for watching movies, calls etc.
The best thing for me as student is the s note app. I take the pen and note just like a pepper book. It is amaizing. It is like u have just one book and everything u need is in there when u study for exams I love it for my use

Here's what I use. Not a student anymore but wish I had this when I was.
Dropsync - Setup a dropbox account and buy and SD card and then use Dropsync to do a FULL sync of Dropbox to your tablet for your notes/PDF books, etc. Dropsync will also automatically upload any updated files.
ezPDF - Annotate PDF files.
Polaris - Annote office files. I have other office apps, but this is the best for annotating documents.
S-notes- I use S-notes how I would use scrap paper, short documents, small notes, ideas, brainstorming etc.
LectureNotes - This is what I use as a notebook - better note taking capabilities. If you set it to a dropsync folder it will also sync your files into Dropbox and you can view them as a PNG file if you look in that folder. Dev also mentioned they may be willing to add an automatic export to Evernote feature which would make this a killer handwritten note app.
Total app costs I think are <$10 and will be the best money you spend. Everyone will be jealous. Whenever I'm at a conference and sit next to someone with an iPad they want to know how I'm doing what I do on my tablet!

Using Polaris office you can annotate powerpoint without converting to pdf.

well im a also student, so here is my experience.
I primarily use repligoPDF to view my pdf (usually in ppt format which i then converted into pdf thru polaris office). so instead of printing out my slides then attend class to annotate, i can simply download and annotate there on my tablet.
As for regular note taking, i use LectureNote for general class note taking. This app is THE BEST for this tablet and waaaaay better then s note. You can choose different colors to write in and the pages scroll down instead of flipping like s note (which is so much easy to view). Not to mention there is also auto scrolling in which once you to write to a certain area on the bottom of the screen, the app automatically scrolls down for you. Dont have to flip a page anymore.
After all that, you can also download Dropbox and dropbox sync (which i recently discover) and EASILY sync your notes to dropbox and view it from ANYWHERE.
dropbox sync(paid version since free version only allow upload up to 5mb per doc) basically allows you to create 2 folders, one on your tablet and one on your dropbox, and the whenever there are changes made it automatically updates/uploads the changes to the cloud storage. That way, all your notes will be backup and assessable anywhere for additional reading or if you want to print it out (despite having a tablet and going green on printing out note for note taking, i still find using print-out version for studying for exams is more natural)
I havent play around with using word or excel, but from my previous TF700(with keyboard) experience, andriod arent really made for word or excel at the moment. you certainly can open up docs and excel files to edit, but i can assure you that it feels weird. You will prolly have better luck using a comp for that anyways since tablets are really ment for on-the-go-access(mostly viewing) without the bulkiness of a laptop and doesnt really replace a laptop.
Hope this helps!

More's the shame. LN is a fantastic app and beats the socks off of Snote. AFAIC the only real plus to SN is multiscreen. I quit using it day one.

PDF readers?

Which is the best on the tab 2 10.1? I use it often in English when we read things because our book is so huge so I try to avoid it. Preferably with a bookmark option. Thanks~
