So after getting the HTC One X+ and not really feeling all that "into it"... then getting an iPhone 5 and being slapped with the reality that iOS feels like an old Nokia flip phone after being with Android so long... I noticed what I wanted more than anything wasn't really a new phone... but rather getting the Xperia Play in white.
...now I have it
Re-installing all my old software has been something of a trip though... I installed all the same apps as I had on my old Xperia Play with the same Link2SD settings... yet somehow I have only 180MB of phone storage free when I maintained a strong 254MB before.
Gameloft's games gave me crap about "This is not an original copy" but I was able to remedy that by deleting my data (so much progress in Eternal Legacy lost :crying but EA's games are giving me something I've never seen before... and can't figure out how to bypass.

I had this back in the day too. I don't recall the fix though... If there was one at all.
Hmm... I think it was something to do with different versions of the APK. I remember having two 'Dead Space' games installed, one being the Xperia Play version and the other being the one from the Play Store. The one from the Play Store didn't play ball because of the data from the other one, so it came up with 'Service Disabled'.
I'm sure it was something like that.
Are you sure you have the correct APK for Dead Space on your phone?
I can't download the data for BC2. It just says "NaN"

Yep, they're the same installers from back when ea had the free games promotion just for xperia play.

but it only appears at the web-market , when you search for it on your device using market enabler with 440-20 for softbank (where its available only) you will only able to see the paid version for ¥600!
i think to try it in legal way just someone need to own a softbank-sim/usim and install the trial using the web-market while phone is connected to PC !
no other ideas atm !

I bought the full version as oddly enough the free version wouldn't show up in the Android market for me.
I was surprised to see it has 3D graphics but I had to turn it off to read the tiny text. I decided to leave it off after realising that tilt-controls and 3D games are are complete mismatch.
Another issue I have is with the lack of a calibrate button for the tilt controls and a rather jerky response when trying to tack enemy ships that is frustrating more than satisfying.

Ok, so I used adb and moved all my apps to my sd using setinstalllocation, I uninstalled system apps and games, such as fifa and star battalion and reinstalled them and moved them to the sd. This all worked fine and the games run, however, they do not show up in my xperia play launcher. The other games do, but the system ones I moved, sims, fifa and star battalion, no longer show up in the launcher. Any ideas? Kinda ruins the whole point of the launcher! :-(

The phone makes a quiry for the games u have if it doesnt have a registry it wont show up while executing the quiry dont really know how to do this... Ask google

it is a app on the market "custom car home" and i set shortcut links to each rom and then made 128x128 icons for them

I hate the stupid placing of the adds in the andriod version and I can't understand stand why the hell there isn't a paid version for andriod! I installed it and seen them adds then uninstalled it until ravio starts treating andriod just like Ios I'm never playing there games!! Rant over!

Apparently you can get the no ads paid version on the Amazon market, if you're American ofcourse, seeing as Amazon doesn't seem to care about anyone else

In all honesty I really see no point in a new thread to basically say "OMG new game take a look"
There's loads of threads already saying stuff about new games released and I personally find it a waste of time and space

Its perfectly fine if its a new Xperia Play OPTIMIZED game, alot of people dont read droidgamers and they don't always report on every game. I kinda see you point when it comes to Angry Birds tho.

This issue has been bothering me for a while now. When I go to the Play Store hit the menu button and go to "my apps", there sometimes a few apps that show up that I never downloaded.

These apps show up every now and then as downloaded. I don't speak Russian, thus, I don't download apps that are in Russian. I was wondering if maybe someone uses my account, and is downloading apps to their device, or if this is an issue with the Play Store...? I use a very secure password, it literally is a bunch of random numbers, letters, and symbols. Any help with resolving or explaining the issue would be appreciated!

My first thought. The apps never appear on my phone though. Some kind of botnet then? A bad app downloads another app to use your account information to download and rate it, then un install it? Those other apps don't have any reviews that involve words, and they all have 10,000+ downloads with 4-5 star ratings. Seems suspicious to me.

Hi,
Having missed this excellent game on my Xperia Play, I did some searching and found out that I can still play it by downloading an older version from the web. It's probably the oldest version and as far as I know there were some updates which still worked on Xperia Play. Of course the version I found does not support online play, cloud save and some other features but it is still playable.
I need to ask you guys, does anyone know which was the LAST VERSION THAT WAS COMPATIBLE WITH ANDROID 2.3.4? I mean before they made it compatible only with Android 4+ devices.
I would love to get hold of that, as I think it is legal as the game is free to play. Thanks in advance.
