Bootloader is now no longer ***Locked***
Unlocked or Relocked.
It just says details of rom ..S-OFF RL etc.
I need to S-ON.
But it says on anohter thread not to do it if my bootloader doesnt say locked, unlocked or relocked...
Any Advice?
To be frank, up to this step there is no point S-On it too. Good stuff need your device to be S-offed. And On or Off it does not make any changes in your experience using the device.

Kindly... can anyone help me using "Unlock Root" ?
After uninstalling the HTC software, (leaving the drivers), disabling Fastboot and put Desire S in debugging, I launched "Unlock Root". After more attempt, the procedure was successful:
Ready
Starting adb server
get online devices (much more rapidly passes to the next step)
Chose the Connected Device: (recognized HTC Desire S 2.3.5)
get devices online
waiting for debug mode
try to get root shell permission May Take Several Minutes
root Succeed!
Unfortunately Desire S is alwais *** LOCKED *** S-ON
I repeated the procedure many times, but the result always the same.
I forgot / mistaken something?
My phone:

You are confusing rooting a phone with gaining S-OFF. To date there has not been a solution developed that will S-OFF HBOOT 2.00.0002. You can change the "LOCKED" status to "UNLOCKED" by using the procedure at HTCDEV.com and this will allow you to flash a custom recovery and then install custom ROMs.
only way to get Permanent Root is to make your device S-OFF....what do you use to root your device?"unlockroot"?

No! i'm not confusing rooting with S-OFF ! I know S-OFF HBOOT 2.00.0002 solution but i desire only S-OFF. Also I do not want downgrade HBOOT 2.00.0002 to 0.98 !
I want only (for root-applications) S-OFF, and Unlock Root don't work in my case.
Using procedure at HTCDEV.com invalidate the warranty ! You know ?

i repeat the only way to get PERM ROOT IS to get it to S-OFF or to UNLOCK BOOTLOADER VIA HTC DEV.. If Unlock Root works for you then its just SHELL ROOT!.. the root disappears when you restart the device.
And the ONLY way to get S OFF is to DOWNGRADE and use Revolutionary. (which you can do anything you want)
you can unlock bootloader also with HTC dev.(which only let you root, flash roms and kernels)
YOU CANT DO ANYTHING(root, etc) WITH A LOCK BOOTLOADER, same with a S-ON.. Read the forums...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146601
Ummm... Correct me if I'm wrong, but @up talks b.s. ... My d.S is s-on, bootloader unlocked by htcdev and perm rooted.
I've restarted my device numerous times and not loosing root... Latest hboot on it ofcourse.
Oh... And rooted with "super one click". (if it helps with anything)
I rooted mine yesterday by unlocking the bootloder through htcdev.com then using super one click v2.2

Dude,, youve unlock using htc dev. that means you can get PERM ROOT.. Unlocking with HTC DEV mean you can flash roms/ root but not as equal as S-OFF. As you can see. it still S-ON because there are still security parameters in the device which are still ON in order to protect the system. S-OFF can only be done using Revolutionary and by that you can do anything with the system.. "UNLOCK BOOTLOADER= FALSE S-OFF"
"here is my problem"
i had unlocked my bootloader via htcdev.com and then i had installed CWM and i was on stock rom only and then i relocked my bootloader and it relocked successfully
MAIN PROBLEM
"AFTER RELOCKED WHEN I GO TO FACTORY RESET or RECOVERY OPTION THE BOOTLOADER BOOTS SAYING
RELOCKED
*SECURITY WARNING*
S-ON
HBOOT-1.18.0000
so how can i solved this problem

Hi all, I had to re-install a stock rom from an HTC RUU. Prior to that I was HTC unlocked, HBOOT 1.27, firmware 3.33, rooted, custom ROMs.
Right now the bootloader is re-locked, HBOOT 1.29, european stock 3.33.401.106 with 11.76A.3504.00U_11.24A.3504.31_M radio.
The objective is to re-gain S-OFF and go trough all the way to custom ROM again.
I was thinking to execute fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
To my understanding this should clear off the relocked flag.
At this point to go to htcdev and proceed with that like I did already once.
Probably the above is too simple to work, but the whole JuopunutBear timing thing is a bit an issue having tried already in ther past.
Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated.

fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 returns bootloader to S-ON, it wont help you.
The only way to S-OFF 1.2x.xxxx HBOOT versions is JuopunutBear S-OFF. Oh and did you know you dont have to be S-OFF to flash ROMs, search for the Flashing ROMs with S-ON guide and follow it.
Jonny, thank you for your input. To be honest I did not know that it was possible flashing with S-OFF, I will look into this.
From you answer I understand that JuopunutBear S-OFF can be used the same also in the case the device was already S-OFF and relocked.
Thanks again.

you have hboot version 1.29.0000 yes? This means that the easier revolutionary method wont work on your phone (revolutionary is GingerBread only), so the only possible way to S-OFF on your phone is with the JuopunutBear method.
To get rid of the relocked text on the bootloader you need to flash the JuopunutBear hboot (which you can only do after S-OFF) then run an RUU. This will make the text say "LOCKED" again
So I was going to buy a new phone, and trade in my sensation for it, so I reverted to stock. Except I installed the wrong RUU for my region and only noticed after re-enabling s-on, and then I was really stupid and tried to flash the right rom.zip while it was s-on and now my phone only boots into the bootloader... how can I S-off and reinstall the right RUU from only the bootloader? Revolutionary is constantly waiting for my device and htc's token id unlocker isn't recognising it either, and when it does it always comes up with an error

do you have htc drivers installed?
if now you have 1.17-1.18 hboot version then revolutionary.io method is the only way to S-OFF
for flashing ruu from bootloader see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425 (step 4)
but first you have to be S-OFF
Ok, guys, i think that i made a big mistake, i was helping to restore to stock the HTC evita of a friend. We download the latest RUU from att, relocked and run. the problem was, that we didnt check it if there was super cid. and it have it. BUT, usually if there is a brick i cant enter to bootloader right? I can enter in bootloader, and show
Relocked

The phone has supecid: (bootloader) cid: 11111111
I know that usually is a brick, but i can enter the bootloader (i did a clearstorage but still bootloop) I dont want to make it worse. so any advice to fix it? I was thinking about unlocking again bootloader but probably it cause a brick? I read that the brick is unlocked bootloader + supercid +s-on, but the bootloader was relocket so maybe that save the device?. Any advice would be great

I think you need to unlock your bootloader and get S-off to proceed with RUU because you have superCid.

yes, the problem is that i cant load a rom, I mean, its bootloop. If i unlock bootloader and flash a recovery will be ok? I mean, i fear that unlocking bootloader brick my phone because I ran RUU with supercid
Unlock the bootloader again, flash TWRP recovery again, flash a custom ROM, get s-off, then you can run any RUU you want.

ok, i unlock the bootloader, I'm trying to enter hboot again because the volumebutton ihave little damage. thanks If something happen i will report back.
PD: S-off can i do it with an aosp rom? Or need a sense rom?
It shouldn't really matter, I've done it on both.

Doesn't the Evita need to be s off to run a ruu, and with a locked bootloader?

No, but running any jb+ RUU with s-on and SuperCID causes a brick. Plus, if you have SuperCID, you need s-off to bypass the CID check that stops the RUU from running.

Uff, finally, but TWPR is weird, flash a lot in splash screen :/ but after a while works. I was thinking that i had a brick because i was s-on and supercid. I had a aosp rom, so right now I will do s off. Thanks so much
PD: Right know is in the boot screen of PAC ROM. The hboot doesnt matter for an aosp rom right?
You probably need to read the Evita FAQ thread in my signature.

yes i did, is not the first time that i install a custom rom in a htc, i flash the boot.img and everything, but had some weird problems, I will try philz recovery now (TWPR sometimes flash a lot in the splash screen, or freeze or just works normal). and i will download another rom just to be sure.
Ok, its finnish, thanks so much. First the RUU close with an error, but i tried in another account of my pc and works (the same error was before when everything start, is funny, maybe thats save my phone from a brick because I was s-on with supercid :/ )
Thanks so much again for the help
