I am using omega rom and using nova launcher. I just found out that i cannot get the widgets to work. when i go to widgets the message saying 'tap and hold......' but i can not get it to the screens. For snote related widgets it doesnt even show picture. Can anybody help me?

Usually it helps to go to application-manager , find Nova launcher and delete cache. If that does not the trick, delete Nova launchers data on the same location (Caution: You need to set up all the icons and widgets on your Nova launcher again).
If all that fails, boot into CWM and wipe cache and dalvic cache (advanced).
If one of that helped, press the help button!

Is there any method/hack to use some of the samsung widgets with Launcher Pro or any other launcher for that matter? I really dislike the samsung launcher but I'd like to use their feed widget for twitter as I've yet to find another good scrollable one.
Thats not possible simply because the touchwiz widgets are withing the touchwiz UI, the come as a hole not as separate packages, hence they can only be install on the touchwiz launcher.

That's too bad. Does anyone know of a similar widget to Touchwiz's feed widget out there? I really liked the way it lets you scroll both facebook and twitter but I love ADW way too much to go back.
Yeah the feed widget is what I was hoping for as well... closest thing I've found is Pure Messenger

A bit off topic, but how do I get Launcher Pro back as the default launcher? While trying to get Kies to work, I made TW the default launcher, not realizing you can't turn off TW the same way. Or do I have to reinstall LP and lose my settings.

I did this too, I think I went into the manage applications menu under TWlauncher and clicked the button that said clear defaults. I believe thats how I fixed it. Then after that hit the home button and the choice to use launcher pro or twlauncher again.
I tried that initially. No TWLauncher showing in the list...hit the menu button and found the filter option. Selected "show all" and there it was. Thanks!

I got launcher pro installed as a system app with proper permissions and it runs fine.
Only problem is that if you try to change the dock shortcut or add an application shortcut via the widgets menu, it will FC.
Any one get LP working 100%, am i missing some libraries or a different install procedure?

I am having the same problem with ADW Launcher
Same problem with LauncherPro on rooted Nook Tablet. Can add widgets with no problem, but selecting "Shortcuts" immediately brings up error window. This pretty much makes the launcher app worthless.

Ok, no matter how i move them around, icons refuse to go into the 5th row. The last row remains empty and the icons just keep moving around like before in the 4x4.
Edit: Clearing data for sony ericsson home in settings, applications did the trick.
Now there's another problem. It's a 3 screen home, but if you slide the third screen to the left you can see a music player widget on the 4th screen! Since i can't use this 4th screen, i can't access the widget to delete and hence can't add a music widget on the other 3 screens. Will update if i figure this one out.
Edit2: Here are my findings. When coming from a 4x4 app-drawer launcher, you will need to clear data for SE home in order to properly use this 5x4 launcher. However, clearing data causes the default widgets to be installed in the various screens, which includes the music widget in the 4th screen, which cannot be accessed since this is a 3 homescreen launcher and so you cannot add the music widget to the accessible 3 screens. The only solution i can think of is to install a 4 or 5 screen 5x4 app drawer launcher, then clear data, then delete the widgets from the 4th screen, then install the 3 screen version of the 5x4 launcher. Hope this didn't confuse the $hit out of everyone, but it's as clear as i could put it. I'm now going to try and edit this launcher to make it 5 screens.
Edit3: FIXED! by editing the apk to 5 screens, installing that, clearing data, now you have 5 rows in app drawer and default widgets in homescreens. Delete all widgets and install the 3 screen apk in 1st post.

thanks for help explanation , i so sorry not include them ,yeah ,many different ,if you use from me ,no reflection ,because it's home.apk from 2.3.3 ,if you use from the link ,you have some reflection on dock home screnn ,mine is old version ,but i just edit the home drawer and ,home screen capability

See this guide.
You need two home apk files, one with 5-screens and one with your final requirement (4/3/2 or 1).
First install the 5-screen one, clear data, delete all widgets from all screens.
Then install the lower screen one. DO NOT clear data now.

To answer your question, i don't use many sony widgets, but what i do, like music and data monitor work fine.
Since the OP has closed this thread, maybe you should try some other launcher mod like THIS one.
When ever I try to add Walkman widget, I get the message "Widget already added".
Let me give you some background on how I managed to get this message. I am having HTC Explorer and have flashed htcPICO_fusion_xperia v1 cm9. Then I was playing around with the Xperia Launcher by assigning Grid values to Home-screen and resizing the widgets. Suddenly after force resizing the Walkman widget, it disappeared and since then when I try to add the widget again its giving me the message.
I guess it has gone to some part of the screen that is beyond the visible bounds. So, how do I delete the widget from the screen without actually selecting the widget and dragging to the deleted bin.

I just had to uninstall the app using a System App Unistaller (like HiUninstaller), reboot and restore the Walkman App.
Added the widget...
Hi! Did anyone have a problem, where there are NO widgets in the widget "drawer" to select form? I go select the Widget icon on the home-screen, where you're supposed to scroll to through the widgets and there are none
stock launcher, phone right out of the box and all system updates installed.

Yes. I had. Reset huawei home app. But you will lose launcher settings and icon arrangement.
Thanks Matt8504, worked like a charm. Deleted the cache and app data and it worked.
