[Q] Bootloader Loop. Help. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Okay so this is what happened. I had CM10.1 installed on my sgs3 (verizon). I followed this guys method to make my phone like i just picked it up from the store. Then i update to the latest version of android. After that i figured i would root it. The thing is that i somehow mest up while rooting it and my recovery mode didnt work so i used this method again
and now my phone is stuck on the inital boot sequence. Help me please. I didnt realize that your phone had to be rooted to use that method. the first time it worked fine. then the second time i forgot that that process unrooted my phone and did that method anyways.

Pull Battery.
Wait 30s
Leaving device Off,
Enter into Recovery mode by -
Holding 3 buttons at one time:
Power, Menu and Volume Up.
Do a Full Restore/Wipe

What I did was the same as above followed by vol down.. otherwise it went back to bootloader odin mode (stuck). I also deleted odin for whatever effect that could have had. Then I flashed a new rom with twrp.

Power, Home & Vol up gets you into Recovery mode.
Power, Home & Vol down gets you into Bootloader.
Glad you got it working

Trouble with accessing Boot Screen

Here's the long and short of it. This phone is a pain in the ass to get into boot recovery. I can flash it with Odin like there's no tomorrow but when I put an update.zip into the root of the phone and then try to get the boot screen using power button and volum up and down at the same time, I can litterally hold them for 10 minutes and it just keeps flashing the AT&T Worldphone screen and will not go into recovery mode. It has but it is very random. My original Captivate would boot into recovery on demand, not this one. I flashed back to stock using Odin earlier today, then I ran Designgear's SRE V1.2.1a which is amazing, it took me 1 hr to get the phone into recovery mode. Now I have put Fightspot's battery indicator in an update.zip of it in the root of the phone and it won't boot into recovery.
I am a nooob and don't know how to open an ADB shell on my computer to get it into recovery. I don't know any ADB commands. Can anyone help? Is there another way to boot into recovery.
Thanks

Just throwing it out there. Are you holding all three buttons continually? Because once the ATT screen comes up, you only need to keep holding Vol up and Vol Down.
Turn phone off
Hold Vol up + Vol down + Power
ATT screen comes up
Release power, but keep holding Vol up + vol down
Yeah I did that. It just turned on once I let go of the power button. I used Terminal Emulator and got into boot screen. Worked great. Thanks for the suggestion, this phone has only one issue and that's the issue. As long as I can use Terminal Emulator I'm fine. I have managed to get it into recovery using the buttons 3 times. Weird.
You have to hold all three buttons until the att screen goes away. Then let go of the power button.

I know. It worked fine on my first Captivate, not this one.
just turn off the power and hold both vol buttons down while pluggin in the usb on to the phone and it will do the trick
plug the phone into your computer. Download the Android SDK
Then... command window -> browse to sdk/tools directory -> adb reboot recovery.

Bricked SG Tab 2 7.0

Ok. I bought this Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 from a friend for cheap because I thought I could fix it, but I'm running out of options. It's in a boot loop, but an abnormal boot loop. If it's unplugged, It will do the splash screen (Samsung) boot loop. If it's plugged in, either into the wall or into my computer via usb, it will do a battery (charging) boot loop. It's kinda weird. I used to have an Epic 4G and it happened damn near all the time, without the battery loop, but it would charge normally.
I haven't successfully gotten it to boot into Download mode.
If any of you have come across this issue, please feel free to help me out.
I also attached a picture of me attempting to put it in download mode. It reboots if I hit either VOL up or VOL down.
Thanks

Can you get into recovery? Also, have you tried unplugging the charging cable and getting into download mode with the cable unplugged?
I'm not sure how to get into recovery. With it unplugged, all I have to do hold the VOL Down physical button and ti will take me to a "are you sure you want to put the device into download mode screen". I apologize. I'm not to familiar with this device.
Edit: After I get to the screen where it asks me if i want to go into download mode, it reboots within 5-10 seconds, no matter which button I press

Hold power and Volume up (volume button closest to the power button) until the tab shuts off and reboots itself and then you can let go of both buttons. If it works, try doing a factory reset. Was this tablet rooted (or have a custom rom installed) in the past?

As far as I know it's been on Stock. My GTab ignores me holding the Power and Volume up keys at the same time and keeps the boot loop going strong.

No, his device is fine.
If your device bricked, but still showing Gtab2 logo on it, it's still fine. You need to flash to stock 4.03 rom via ODIN. (Not clockworkmod)
Warranty won't work if you have flashed custom ROM before.

He needs to be able to get into Download Mode to use Odin. He stated that he can't. When he tried to continue into download mode by pressing volume up (vol. button closes to power button) the tablet reboots. It needs warranty service.
Experiments:
Power off the tab completely and charge completely and press power +volume up for 10 seconds then release, also try to power off and press power+ volume down for 10 seconds then release do you see any screens
If it says do you want to enter download mode or so press volume up and see if you could see (downloading) try also the same with volume down instead of up
Try to connect to computer do you see any messages indicating connections
Also try to connect to kies and try restore or recover firmware from options of kies
You said it reboots after 5 to 10 seconds so try to open odin and try to go to download mode and when you press volume up try as quickly as possible to connect tab to pc while odin is open

There's other method by using OpenRecovery (OR), by putting OR on external SdCard,
but it seems the OR for Gtab2 is not developed yet -__-

[Q] T-Mobile LG G2 stuck in fastboot, can't get into recovery

Update: I messed around with fastboot a bit more and managed to brick it entirely. It's stuck in a boot loop now -- it won't even power off -- and there's nothing I can do about it, so I just took it in to get it replaced.
Hey guys, I know this thread is very similar to others that have been posted, but I've already looked through them and haven't found anything that works for me yet.
My phone was already running rooted stock with TWRP for the recovery. I tried flashing CM10.2 but it was for the wrong model (I downloaded D802 but my phone is of course D801. Oops). Upon reboot, the LG splash screen appeared and then immediately went to a black screen saying
Code:
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
When I attempt to turn the phone off it just reboots to that screen again. I am still able to use fastboot, and have tried wiping the phone and re-flashing TWRP. It doesn't throw any errors but I still can't actually boot into recovery. I can't use fastboot to flash a new ROM onto the phone though, since it doesn't like .zip archives apparently, and I can't find a .img file of a ROM anywhere.
When I try to use flashtool as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541087 it says the device is not connected (probably because it's not in download mode?).
Any help would be much appreciated. All I need to do is get into recovery, it shouldn't be this hard.
That's the same error I got a few days ago when I mis-flashed a new recovery (oops. and be careful when you use 'dd', because a typo can nuke your recovery). I'd get that error message if I tried to boot into recovery, but if I just let the phone boot, it would boot fine. It was easy to fix, but that was because I just used Terminal Emulator to re-flash recovery.
Your best bet might be to go back to stock. Try this thread.
similar issue, but not quite

I'm not in a boot loop, as I can power off and it will stay off. But I am stuck at the Fastboot mode started screen (I can't get download mode to come up). When I do try to get into download mode it flashes for a second, but then goes back to the fastboot mode screen.
I'm hoping to find an image that I can use the fastboot flash recovery command with to re-write my recovery partition.
Any suggestions on where to find this image file? Or am I going down the wrong path?
Thanks,
Joseph
Did you get it to work? I am in the same mode.
I'm stuck here as well. Looking for a fix
Did you guys find a fix? I need help with this...
similar thing here with me
any solution
i cant boot at all, not into download mode, nor recovery,
got this too because i was installing a note3 rom to my d800, acciodentally of coarse. i managed to boot to twrp by doing the power and volume down technique. and from twrp i restored my recent backup
To anyone still stuck in this situation (reboot loop, no recovery etc):
- Unplug the phone from the USB cable
- Hold down the power until the phone turns off
- Wait a couple of minutes with the phone off
- Now hold power and volume down buttons
- When LG logo appears - release power and volume down and hold them again
- When you see a white screen with "reset to default instructions" -- do what it says, meaning pressing the power button a couple of times
THAT should work.

Not sure if you've tried this. To power off fully, press and hold the volume down and power buttons. Do not let go of the buttons. The phone should turn off and the LG logo should appear. Continue holding until after the LG logo disappears. The phone should be fully off and won't turn back on at this point. If you don't see the LG logo, just keep the buttons pressed for about 10-15 seconds and you should be fully powered off by then. You should be able to enter download mode from here (press and hold volume up button while plugging in USB from computer). If you are able to enter download mode, then use the LG mobile support tool in my thread and follow the instructions. This should flash the latest stock system to your phone. If that doesn't work, I have a link to an alternate method for flashing the latest stock system on your phone. Hope this helps.

[Q] LG G2 Soft Brick after OTA...Help?

Just took the Lollipop OTA update from stock 4.4.2. Upon completion my phone rebooted and is stuck on the LG boot logo. I tried entering download mode (holding volume up button and plugging phone into computer) but my phone doesn't enter it. Attempting to power off the phone doesn't work either, since the phone just powers off for a second and turns back on to the boot logo. I tried factory reset (power + volume down) and after proceeding with the reset the phone is still stuck on boot logo. What should I do?

You can power off if you hold power button longer. wait till logo appears, and still hold, till it gone away second time, and hold even a little longer.

hold power button for 1 sec, 2 secs, 3 sec.... trying to just turn it off (instead of reboot)
hold vol down + power button,
hold power button + tap volume down,
just hold vol down,
tap power button (does nothing), only long press restarts.
hold power button till screen goes black and then hold vol down + tap pwr button
hold power button till screen goes black and then hold vol down + hold pwr button
hold power button till screen goes black and then hold vol down on its own
search forum
pull hair out
type this
each time reinstalling twrp
any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
thanks

well that's strange, as, on my device, from off:
Volume UP + power takes me to download mode... I have done this several times and it asks me to confirm by then pressing down.
AND, from off
Volume DOWN + power takes me to recovery.
and doing a search, via google and xda all agree with me.
.. but thanks
I never said I couldn't get into recovery... I cannot get from odin into recovery without it first rebooting and therefore wiping my flash.
edit: So I tried it anyway, and got back into download mode, which in a way is kinda good news as, my logic, if I can get back into download mode from a reboot then I should be able to get into recovery from a reboot.
Same same but slightly different

I am having the exact same problems and tried exactly the same things. I am just not able to install twrp because of this. ( I read that it overwrites the recovery with the stock one when you are not going straight into recovery mode after installation) I am stuck at the “Samsung Galaxy note 10.1” screen if try to go straight into recovery.
What is strange though is that with my device: VOLDown (towards the power button) + Power button takes me to download mode and the other combination supposedly to the recovery mode.
This is so frustrating. Done this so many times with other devices but this one just does not give up… I just want to get rid of all bloatware and other crap…..

UPDATE:
It worked! I rooted my device first. After that I flashed my recovery via the TWRP app. I also must say that my device is the GT-N8010 (p4notewifixx). I got confused of all the different models. Still I think it will work with your model aswell! Good luck!
