You cant get boot.img from compiling.... Dont ask why. Search before posting.
Here you go, but I'm not 100% that is from stock(about 80%sure), it's best I can do

No. I want to do this myself. Kernel 3.0 is stable enough for me and it always was (don't use WiFi and Bluetooth). And my exams are going to start soon so I want to experience it as soon as possible.
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda premium
Ok.. Good initiative.. I am gonna give you the overview of what you need to do.. In order to get TRUE project butter..
Assuming you have the source, you have to first of all, use kernel 3 instead of kernel 2(current)... After that, you have to disable the HW Vsync... We have been forcing hardware vsync on our phone, but now that we have kernel3, we dont need hw vsync.. so you have to disable it..
now when you disable hw vsync, a few more things break.. so you need to fix all those.. and after a couple days, you'll get true project butter.. if yu do everything properly... :good:
Only one thing. What do I have to use to go to option that enables/disable hw vsync. I just want to know that much. Rest all I will do myself.
P.S I know there is no straightforward option. Do I have to open up the ROM using notepad ++ or something. What exactly I need to open to enable project butter. Please I AM SERIOUS ABOUT IT.
