In your opinion is the Rearth Ringke Hybrid Fusion Case much more thicker than an original Bumper?

Not to answer for him, but having the official bumper twice and both times selling them because I just didn't like the functionality of it. Comparing both, the Rearth is like any tpu case out there just a clear back, where the official bumper makes the phone a bit wider to my personal preference.

It does make the phone quite a bit thicker than the official bumper. Still feels good to use though.

Great review, I've been using the case for about a week now and when I finally took it off I remembered how much easier the buttons were to press. If they could fix them this case would be amazing. I wish my plastic was as clear as yours, mine looks "foggy" even after removing the screen protectors.

They seem to pick up grease very quickly which gives a foggy effect. Try using window cleaner on it.

Another user used Meguiar's NXT car wax. Just a little dab on the front and back and it looked shiny and new again! LOL.
Would it be too much If I asked If you could measure the total width of the phone with the case on? Just to get a better picture of how much it adds on the sides as in the videos and photos it doesn't look more than 1.5-2mm.
Thanks!

Hey i was thinking as no bumpers are available
can we make a bumper out of tpu case by cutting it?
don't want to hide that awesome sparkly effect of nexus 4
what say any tried that out
Tried it and it works to a point but unless you cut it precisely or with a machine it won't come out right I used one of the clear S line series and had a lot of miscuts o well

If you're considering a TPU bumper, then might as well get a Poetic Bumper, as that is what it is. Their Poetic Atmosphere is a clear TPU with "bumper" material in the right places, as another option.
Did it as well, the sides are a bit too lose if you want a true bumper. Cut it more like a poetic and it may be fine but I regret doing it for what it matters.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
so you guys say that it is better to have more thick and cut less so the tpu material can withstand the forces?
Has a s-line case. Got a second free from poetic. I made it into a bumper. It looks horrible .... Would not recommend unless you have an extra FREE case lying around.

By looking up and down he meant "I checked the first two posts and they didn't say Cruzerlite"....
I like my Cruzerlite cases but they are really really slippery. I don't use them since I know I would drop my phone.

Funny, I have the XDA case and it doesn't feel that slippery. The Diztronic TPU however, is one slippery bugger! LOL

Are the sides matte or glossy? The ones I have at matte on the side and it just doesn't have any friction against skin. The iBlason case I have is matte on the back and glossy on the sides. The sides are pretty sticky and it feels incredibly secure in hand.

Matte on the XDA case. Well I can see it be really slick on a cold brisk day, maybe that could be the cause of slippage? LOL
I see the official LG slim hard case listed as an accessory on their website but haven't found anywhere to buy it. Doesn't show up in LGs store and Google search returns nothing relevant. Is this case simply not available yet in the US? Or does anyone know where to purchase it from? Thanks
This is a good substitute to the official one. Plus it allows wireless charging.

I love it and it doesn't overlap at all. It runs flush and doesn't have any if much lay on the table protection.
I use http://www.amazon.com/SpigenĀ®-Screen-Shield-Shimmery-Premium/dp/B00JQI311C which is really slim and protrudes so you can set the phone down screen first, also comes with a nice screen protector and it's cheap.

I love the slim cases but find that they scratch the phone ether with the snapping on and off or dirt getting under the case. Does you spigen one scratch the sides of the phone?

I don't take it off very often, but it hasn't scratched anything yet. I can say it's a perfect fit so you shouldn't get anything under it (I work in a very dusty place, no dust gets in mine) so wipe the screen before removing the case and this shouldn't be an issue.
I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid on mine along with a tempered glass screen protector. Couldn't be happier with them.

I haven't noticed any with the last 2 phones I've used this case with. I also take it off every week or so and clean the back.
great seryeee
I've scoured the threads here, and the internet at large and haven't come across a leather backed open face case for the 6p. I am aware of the custom workaround at the moment of using a dbrand or slickwraps leather on a slim spigen or dztronic case but am wondering if there are any, or any eta's on an open faced, leather backed case. Distressed leather preferably.
Pierre Cardin makes them for the note 5 but not for the 6p which i found disappointing. I thought it might be because of the unique camera array on the back, but the folio cases manage to do it, so that can't be the issue.
Look forward to you your replies
cheers,
Pierre Cardin for note 5 example

Yeah, teded has some decent folio cases but the flip, is just too much to deal with if you take pictures regularly. I tried it with my mate 7 and nexus 6 and it was not a good experience for me.

Or you could try a skin on a case. Something like this. Not real leather, I know, but some of them do look decent. I used the Spigen Rugged armor and d-brand. I've heard of others using Diztronic and the Spigen thin fit.

Slickwraps actually makes leather skins for the 6P; it's called their "Natural" series and they use Horween leather (same material as found on the Moto X and LG G4). It doesn't offer visor coverage like the vinyl skins do, but if you're looking for real leather this is probably your best bet.
I'd also suggest petitioning @LAURCORE (Toastmade) to research designing leather skins, too, as they had done for the Nexus 6.

Is the case very soft to the touch? I got a Tetded case, and the leather is stretched so tight that it almost feels plasticky. This case looks amazing though. And I only see an option for black. How did you get brown?

On the inside? Hmmmm okay
The inside is textured so that you don't get the air bubbling effect that you would on some cases that have smooth TPU on the inside surface - it has nothing to do with 'grip'.

Looks like it's cut pretty well. Any reason why you went with the clear over the black armored one? I ordered a Quite Black Pixel, so I'm trying to determine if I should get a crystal or a black one, haha.

Hope it is good as my one for Nexus 5x. For 5x I had the thicker one, the Ultra Hybrid, but now I would like to have a thinner one for more feeling.
Will report when it is delivered and I got my Pixel.
Does it seem like the edge will be above the screen to prevent the screen hitting something if it face-plants?

I ordered this for my 128gb black. O also ordered two other no name clear tpu cases. I can say without a doubt...the cuts on the speigen are a lot neater. There is also a slight border around the side of the case that isn't there on the cheaper cases. I got mine for $13 vs $8 for the two other cheap ones. Well worth the extra $5.
