[Q] Vodafone 845 Egypt No Market

Hello,
I bought the Vodafone 835 (Huawi Joy) with Android 2.1 from Egypt.
The phone is very nice for its price, and it comes with very good arabization and Arabic keyboard from Mobidiv.
The problem is that the phone doesn't have the Market, and it seems that you can't install the Market as an app.
I see some excellent custom roms available, but they will not contain the arabization.
Is there a way to install Market?
Or better, is there a way to extract the Mobidiv arabization and bake it into any of the excellent roms available, or better (easier for me ) install it as an app?
Please help. Android without market is like car without wheels and I need the arabization, at least be able to read/write

i'm facing the same problem but seems not solution or not on looking on it , i got to install the market using this version but it gives an error every time i try to install any app

I'm having the same problem, so please when some one find a solution please tell us what to do. I don't want to lose arabic too.

i installed it and i can browse the applications alright it just stuck on starting download...

so i finally get it working
1. root your device using SuperOneClick http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 since AmonRA Recovery superuser wasn't working that great at least for me
2. install root explorer (attached )
3. copy com.android.vending.apk ( attached ) to your sdcard
4. using root explorer mount to R/W and copy com.android.vending.apk to /system/app (before pasting it make sure again it s mounted to R/W cause it switches to R/O )
5. long tap com.android.vending.apk and set permission to rw- r-- r--
6. Reboot your device
that it and it worked fine for me please test it and give me feedbacks , also this is the only vending.apk version that worked for me i tried few others and they didn't work if you get any other version working please report it i would really like the patched Tatto version

i forget to mention you will need to use market enabler http://code.google.com/p/market-enabler/downloads/detail?name=MarketEnabler_v3.1.0.apk&can=2&q=
to get all of the apps shown

no idea about adding the Arabic language install on custom rom that why i'm sticking to the official ROM and had all the troubles to get the market work on it also on my last experience on Mr ROM the WiFi didn't work , anyway on the official ROM only thing i miss is apps2sd and it is not that big deal for me since my largest app is angry birds witch is around 14~16 mb

Flash with custom recovery. This is a beta run also. Speeds above 800mhz may be unstable for many people so find the speed that works best for you as all processors are unique due to construction imperfections.
Overclocking Notes:
Not all phones can OC and can handle the same speeds. Your phone is unique. Some can go up to 864mhz stable some can only do 729mhz and some can't at all.
Overclocking must be done with setcpu. After each boot/reboot the max is set to 600mhz to keep you from getting in a boot loop with an unstable speed for your device. To change it after reboot you must move the slider in setcpu to get the overclock freq to set above 600mhz. Do not use the set on boot feature of setcpu.

you need to do the jit and hw accel tweaks too to get that quadrant up. The finger lag seems like a hardware defect or maybe a buggy touchscreen driver from lg.

i have JIT and HW Acc enabled all the time.

2.Run "default.txt生成脚本.bat" to create a Default.txt for HaRET.(it will show something,just choose the phone you have.or you could not boot the linux.)
3.Run haret.exe.
4.when it says "Hold down Volume Up or D Pad",just press and hold the center D-Pad button.then you will see a installer menu,choose install system.
5.done.

no,you can change the language to english.Only a small part of the application is in Chinese.

you need to kown that the Polaris has three kinds of scree(panel1,panel2,panel3),when you setup Android OS
you should choose the right number for your own phone(1,2or3)
setup 2 Run "default.txt生成脚本.bat" then show message(1-6) .
choose 4 if your phone is panel1,5 means panel2, 6 means panel3

can you make same rom but with other ANDROID?..because this is 1.6 version..very old..and on the market..you can find only programs that work on 1.6..for example ROgue tools dosen't work in this version of android.

it's unbelievable fast O:
overlocking with rogue tools also works without the touchscreen bug..
the same with at least android 2.1 and a dream would become true

..but i just flashed this rom to nand with the 2.6.25 kernel + module updates and overlock of cpu (550mhz) + gpu and it's amazing fast.. nearly no lags at all.. just installed adw launcher and still working fluently! try it out!
german language + no chinese apps and this rom would be a killer.

Delete and change starting up music:
1) use RE expolore find system\media\android_audio.mp3 and change to another name.
2) choose the music you like change name to android_audio, and put in system\media, then you have the starting up music you like.

What do you mean by "my 2G card" ? You are usind only 2G network on your SIM card ? Or do you have a 2 Gb SD card ?

this version only remove some "unnecessary apps" from the cm7.2, but those apps are usually useless for china people, since china blocked many sites with gfw
i don't think this version is useful for worldwide people

I mean 2G network SIM ! 3G network may consume more battery, so I would like to clarify it.
Some comments from the Mobile-Kon forum (chinese forum) said the MK3.17 is not as good as MK3.10. So I choose MK3.10 instead.

No new battery,No new progress.

what about german language? Also available in settings?

I installed this version, I'm feeling and my first impression is positive, especially the battery life

Avi bro, I don't y its only with me. This the 3rd Ron struck at the boot logo, even boot animation didnt show up. Even waited till the battery runs out of charge. LG G3 v4 and legend v10 has similar issue with my phone

Yup, quadrant, I also don't trust them so much, antutu says the phone is good just for 2D games
In anspv3 I was able to play nova 3 without much lags and framedrops, and usually I've heard that xperia ROM increase performance, so tried that, nova lagged a bit more.....and quadrant results also came down..... Legend v10 and ansp get me 10,000 easily...

Disappointed with the rom.....
Poor audio quality and.....
Sony apps working great, nice battery backup, data speed is upto the mark :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
