just bought a bluetooth obd2 adapter and the torque app but i just cannot get my phone to connect to it because android needs a password to connect to the adapter. tried all the passwords i saw on the web such as 1234 0000 6789 1234 2345 3456 etc and none of em work
however i dont think the adpater has a password because my laptop can connect to it perfectly fine without a passcode.
is there any way to con android into thinking i have typed a password into the box so itl let me connect without putting a passcode in?
quick bump

A collegue of mine bought in germany a Bluetooth GPS receiver for about €60,- but this GPS receiver doesn't need to have a PIN.
Now if we install a bluetooth devise on our MDA we need to enter a pin.
this one says in the software installation, to use the bluetoothmanager
Does anybody know of this issue and has a work arround
Thanks
If it asks for a number then try 0000 if not then see what happens. Just carry out the normal bonding procedure, it maybe that the pin is only requested if the gps supports it.
You need to tell what brand and which model. GlobalSat BT308, PIN = 2003, GlobalSat BT338, PIN = 0000, etc.
It should be in the user manual which you can download from their site.
Hello everyone,
I am taking networking classes and I was wondering if it's possible, instead of carrying a laptop with me, to use my SGS2(rooted) to configure switches/router with.
I bought a female to female usb adapter, and i also have a USB to serial cable. So all the cabling is fine, but still when I open a console emulator i get nothing going there...
I believe it may be parity related, but there seem to be no console parity settings on any of the terminal emulators that i was able to find on the market.
Usualy, if you extablish a console connection from a laptop via USB, the usb port gets defaulted to COM3 or COM4. Do android devices have a defaulted COM port to the usb connection, Is there a config file where I can change it, or is it supported at all?
any help would be appreciated,
thanks
Hi, I cant connect my mate7 to the ps4 dual sock controller via bluetooth, the remote play app works well, and I tried to connect the controller with other smartphones and works well.
The error messsage was : "Incorrect pin or password" but I didnt type any pin or password.
Maybe an app to configure bluetooth?
Thanks!

I have updated my controller Bluetooth address association with my phone address (with Motioninjoy on the computer) but after that when I hit the home button the gamepad doesn't even appear when scanning bluetooth devices just blinks till shutdown (even connected with OTG to the Orange Nura my gamepad doesn't blink the lights but attached to the computer with the same usb cable it does so), surfing the web I found this instructions to make a device trustable, what do you think, it will work? May someone translate this options to Android language? none of these commands work in android

I desperate need help, all day searching for pairing generic BT controller with android and only PS3 instructions came to me it's really awful :crying:
Thanks in advance
I do have another original Sixaxis controller which was paired to my ps3 but the mac address of the ps3 has one less character than the mobile phone!has 6 only instead of 06 which is really strange?¿
I first tried to change my phone BT address to the Ps3 address in memory, but it says "address not valid" and change nothing.
By MotioninJoy I changed the MAC associate to my phone local BT address, then with Sixaxis Controller at my mobile when I hit start it says listening for controllers I tried connected by OTG or with no cables attached and powering it but doesn't find any bluetooth device and the lights flash till shutdown.
I have a question.
After an upgrade of my head unit with a PX6, Androi 9. I have no working WIFI or Bluetooth. The question is, is it possible to connect the headunit via USB-Ethernet adapter direct via UTP-cable to my router in-house. I can realize a test setup for the unit in my office, but am not sure if this will work? An experience with this setup?
I have a MTCD/E unit (MTCE_LM) with a PX6 RK3399. I have a USB to UTP connector, which I tried on my Android (11) tablet and my Xiami phone. There it connects via the UTP cable (after disabling WIFI and 4G), and gets a IP adress form my (DHCP) router. Hope somebody tried it on the head unit with
What happened when you tried it
Did not rty it yet. HAve to wait for my upgrade unit. And have to create testsetup in my homeoffice. My car is not reachable with an UTP cable Will let you know when I have results.
You can use a USB Modem like the HUAWEI like the e5573 and use it like a ethernet cable. I am not 100% sure if you can connect any ethernet wires, just try.
Another option is wipe and reinstall firmware, like hal9k one to solve wifi problem.
I have two PX5 head units here that work just fine with any USB to LAN adapter. I don't see why it wouldn't work on PX6.
Thanks. Tried it and mine works fine also.
