Miui port.

Is it possible to get a port for miui to the sensation..? Because I love miui.

We have to wait for the public to get their bootloaders to be S-OFF. Once we have S-OFF (whether its through an update pushed by HTC/your US carrier, or an exploit such as Fre3dom through a developer on this website), we'll be able to develop and flash custom roms such as MIUI and CyanogenMod onto our Sensations.

No I know we need s-off I forgot to put that down just a simple mistake I'm just asking once we get s-off are we going to get a port of some sort.?

Haha I can feel the sarcasm. Well hopefully we get s-off next month like htc said or from a dev here. I cone from the mytouch 4g miui and g2x stock so I'm done playing the waiting game on gb

came a cross this video on youtube right now. its alpharevx showing his device go from s-on to s-off. i was just reading on xda about his work on the desire getting s-off for that device looks promising since he has done this with other devices. idk if someone else has posted this or seen it. the song is soothing.? lol anyways heres the video....

hehehe he has his own youtube channel contact him threw there im asuming. he also has this website http://alpharev.nl/x/ with a coming soon sign. well hopefuly this is released before htc ( i highly doubt htc will release this before this dev).

Yes thats what it appears to say. I think what we should really take away from it is that he said it was really easy so I guess we should pass that advice along to the devs in the other thread.

Until we get somebody to send it overseas to us I don't see a lot of people willing to send their money to get S-off. That and not to many know how to read chinese characters.
Can't wait till it gets into the hands of the devs here in the forums.

Possible to port endeavor rom

Title says everything. I have ported before but just want to be sure. I saw in the og dev. Section of a endeavor ROM ported but its ICS. I want to port over a jb with 4+ doable?

It's definitely possible. You just have to make damn sure you have the major stuff, IE boot.img and framework smali trees edited/patched correctly for our phone. Otherwise, we allllllllllllll die.

I'm trying to port a ROM from EVO... I can finally get it to say successfull in twrp, but when I reboot it says no OS lol... I can't figure it out!

It is possible, but it is a lot harder. It's a lot easier to port roms such as from the EVO 4G LTE, One S, etc. This is mainly because the interior of the endeavoru is a lot different so it takes a lot of work to sort out modules, libs etc

LOL mmcblk0p33 is system (os) and mmcblk0p35 is data. Make sure its correct in your script.. I can take an endeavor ROM and change 3 lines and it'll flash and turn on.. but boot loop, so that might be your issue

So is this legit? I didn't see any Kernel source on there for AT&T but I guess that's to be expected, the other XL Kernel Sources should suffice just as well for us AT&T users, right?

Right, gotcha. I guess what I meant to ask was: would there effectively be any difference in the Rogers/Telus Kernel released today and the AT&T Kernel released at a future date (hopefully)?

No kernel source has nothing to do with s-off just allows custom kernels for jb sense roms and h8rift will probably be able to figure out touchscreen issues in cm10 for 3.17 hoxl owners

Hello,
I just followed the tutorial to s-off my phone. However, after I finished I notice I can no longer get 4g. I've been looking for a couple hours now and cannot find a fix. Did s-off actually break it or maybe a setting change or something. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

btw I can't help you, i s-off my one S first to brick it but i didn't got 4G because i live in EU and my device was ok after s-off. Now it's bricked >.>

Same thig happened to a few others....still trying to figure out a solution..

nothing changed when you did s-off, did you try to re-flash a new rom, with other radio? cuz the zip in the S-OFF thread wont updatr anything

Well yeah....I obviously knew that...I know the specifications of my phone. But most people when they say that are referring to the the HSPA speeds.

Found another post about it after I posted this one. Hope it gets fixed soon. I wish I could help, but I do't know very much about it. I've been trying to learn though.

FYI: the one s doesn't have lte/4g. So 4g didn't break, because there was no 4g

Thanks everyone for trying to help. I re-flashed my rom a couple of time and it started working again. Idk what the problem was.

it is all semantics, tmobile calls their hspa+ 4g
where others consider true 4g to be lte
but glad it is working now

Sorry, but I have to disagree. As rugmankc said, it's not true 4g. Go and try it yourself with a speed test with "speed test.net" and you will NOT get speeds of 20mb/s.
