Newbie question

How do I setup ADB and or other software to be able to run and install apks on my tablet from my PC? I am an android newbie. Any pointers to existing documentation will be appreciated. Do i need to download the android SDK? Currently I just copy apks over using usb and either put them in system/app or install them from the sd card directly.
Also pointers on how to backup rom and apps would be appreciated. Can I just use Titanium backup on a per app basis? What about system files?
The answers to all your questions already are in these Forums!
But for getting started, until you do something to get Android Martket working, you can download .apk files to your PC. Connect the PC and Netbook, and then copy the .apk over to the "Download" directory on the G-Tablet. If there's not a "Download" directory, the use the PC to make one.
The disconnect and open the ES File Manager on the tablet. Go to the "Download" folder and run the .apk.
Read some of the other threads on how to get the Market working and you will be home free.
Enjoy!

VPN and file browsing?

Hi guys, I am new to Android (Galaxy Note) from iOS.
I have successfully connected to my works VPN. How do I browse files on the device?
On my windows PC I connect to the VPN and then use explorer to browse to this directory:
//D*****R/DATA/SERVER/Filing cabinet/
This directory contains all our invoices in excel format. I want to be able to look at them and edit them.
I downloaded a file explorer program but that asks me to put all the server details in again. I tried that and it said couldn't connect.
Anyone else use VPN for work?
Help?
Thanks.

Click to collapse
I was able to complete upload via OTG. But now, I'm trying to upload via BT. Even I came across this STK500V1 library. But that fails. Were you able to complete upload using BT?
