[MOD][APP] CM10.1 messaging app [Updated 2/22/2013] - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I didn't like the emoji icons in the stock messaging app, so I changed them. This was pulled from the most recent CM10.1 nightly (cm-10.1-20130219-NIGHTLY). I didn't fix anything as far as the way the app functions, I just changed the way the emoji are displayed. Tested on CM10.1 ONLY. May work on other JB ROMs. Let us all know.

Re: [MOD][APP] CM10.1 messaging app
Just what I've been looking for. Thanks so much for this. It's only missing like 6 emojis but that's okay. Can you by any chance make the emojis smaller? They're huuuge. Thanks again!

Re: [MOD][APP] CM10.1 messaging app
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing today. I'll have the spare time to work on it tomorrow afternoon or evening evening. I'll update when its done.
Edit: updated with resized icons and the 7 missing from original download. Enjoy!

I can confirm this works with the 2/21 nightly. Nice work!

I didn't even think about it, but that's the blackedout black cm10 theme from the playstore. I'm gonna change the screen shot, but I'll look around for a themed one and try to do something with that.

I got the theme instead. Best theme ever. Love how it doesn't theme every freaking icon.

Group messaging from what I know will only work on 4.2 based roms I'm currently on CM 10.1 latest nightly and Group messaging is working perfectly
Edit: Looks like the next nightly should be using the same icons as this

Confirmed. I installed the 2/28 nightly this morning and it has all the emoji included. I'll leave this up just in case anyone wants it for another JB based ROM that doesn't include the emoji. I also have an ICS version posted over in the Atrix 2 forums should anyone need it:

Why not just make a backup of mms.apk, push to /system /app and test it? That's how you find out what does and doesn't work.

As far as I know, it should work. It works on the slim bean I have installed on my captivate. If you test it and find out for sure, let us know and I'll add it to the op.

Nope, stock odexed just messing around with .pngs at this point, no decompiling or .xml editing yet.
As soon as a "stock-deodexed-flashable-over-GB-zip-with-busybox-and-unsecure-kernelICSLEAKtrololol.zip" arrives i will port over to the new base (not that difficult since i'm neat)

Plus I would love to see the native email app actually work as Exchange Activesync for my google apps account/domain - so far I have wiped 3x and reflashed 3x but still no joy... sigh! THIS IS ICS ONLY
This may or may not work. I have yet to test it so please dont get mad at me. Currently I just flashed cm9 and I am restoring my apps, I will update this thread as soon as I have tested this and get a chance.
CAUTION: I take NO responsibility for and misshapenings due to this, flashing this could brick your device
Getting reports this works
I do not take any credit for this. The purpose of the thread is only to share.

Bored with Stock-CM9, SlimIcs or AOKP? But you go crazy when you don't get your nightlies day by day? You like the SGS3 style and miss some features of the stock ROMs?
Then I have this for you!
The TWICS-Addon-Pack adds a bunch of stock-apps that where ported by xda-members, some SGS3 feeling with (system)-sounds and icons directly ripped from leaked frameworkres.apk/systemui.apk/systemapps of the SGS3 ROM and many more features to your phone.
You can flash it over every CM9-nightly, SlimIcs or AOKP-Build...day by day
Instructions:
Little Update. I merged both packs. No extra AOKP-Version is required anymore. If you already flashed 1.5 (cm9) you don't need to flash 1.5.1. But AOKP users get s3 settings icons back with flashing 1.5.1
Changelog for 1.5 for CM9 and others than AOKP
- Launcher auto-rotation removed
- S2 Weather Widget removed
- S3 Weather Widget added
- S3 like Pop-Up Video added
- Flipboard added
- minor changes on launcher
Installation like always, flash it over your unmodded ROM
AOKP-Update 1.5 is online
Changelog for 1.4 for CM9 & AOKP
-improved TouchWiz UX, with working landscape and some finetuning. Big thanks to Pawill!!!
- Installationscript set to remove less apps, but all cm9 sounds. Please set up your ringtones and especially your alarm-sound!
- added new musik-player (not by samsung, not possible for now, but from sony) you can uninstall it, if you don't like it. but i think you have to see it!
- lockscreen-icon for new CM9-nightlies added.
- added one more SGSIII LWP
- added more SGSIII files (xmls, libs) mainly in preparation for future releases.
Changelog for 1.3
-removed touchwiz4 launcher
- added touchwiz 5(own port by madphone and me, big thanks to sgs2-dev smando for helping us!!!!
Changelog for 1.2

[CM10][MOD] Center Clock #Defunct due to selling device#

I just recently acquired a One X. Was rocking a Galaxy Nexus before that.
Only thing i was missing is a jellybro rom mainly due to the center clock mod.
So i pulled the Systemui, Settings, and Framework apks out of the one S jellybro rom and threw them into a flashable zip.
Unless changes are made to the SystemUi.apk,Framework-res.apk, or settings.apk this should work for all nighties. I don't currently run CM10 so if this mod stops working PM me and I will upload an updated zip.

Look at making a CWM flashable zip
Is this still working on the CM10 nightly updates?
Edit: It works but made the navigation bar (on screen back, home, and recent apps buttons) show up. How do I get those to go away?

will work in last Nightlies like 16/12?
Can anyone post a working link for this (or any CM10 center clock mod) please?

Android 4.2 Apps (GDrive/Drop Box folders, will update when there is a new app)

These are just two folders that Tmogalaxys2 and I put together to put all of the leaked Android 4.2 into one big folder for easy access. Whenever a new app is leaked, we will update the folders. If you find any apps that aren't included in either of the folders, please post in the thread the link for the app and you will get credit.

I tried opening the link without a Google account. It worked fine for me. Can you send me a screenshot of what comes up when you click the link?

My first theme release in a while..this is for Nitros Eclipse BLUR ROM on the Moto X.
What is themed:
Contacts.apk
Dialer.apk(Made Darker)
DocumentsUI.apk (Inverted by me)
SystemUI.apk
Settings.apk
Calculator.apk
framework-res.apk
Keyguard.apk
LatinImeGoogle.apk
framework2.jar
I have themed just about everything in these apks with my own pngs as well as custom Eclipse branded icons. Some of these apks were based on Nitros inverted ones.
There are only a few things to note:
-The settings screen on DocumentsUI is not inverted.
-The settings screen in Contacts is not inverted.
-Due to some images residing in Active Notifications, a couple of the lockscreen icons (Google, A.N.screen lock) are not themed. I decided not to even try to change them because of (1) The fickle nature of that app and (2) because Moto frequently updates it.
-I did not theme Text messaging,Calendar or Email because (1) I don't use them (2) a lot of the framework images will theme them.
I probably will atempt them later as well as Gallery..once I figure out a Moto coding error.
-The small numbers on the keyboard may get themed once I figure out how to get apktool to play nice with the Google Keyboard. Once installing the theme, any of your keyboard settings will have to be re-done (Vibrate, etc.)

This theme works for me. Flash at your own risk.I am not to be held responsible for damaging your phone.
USAGE POLICY:**Feel free to use anything that I have made in this theme for any other project . All I ask is you please credit me in your OP
I have not tested this theme on SS or any other recovery besides TWRP..but seeing as my updater is basically the same one I have used since JB on the Bionic/RAZR with SS,I think it will.
Download from the link below to your SD
Reboot into Recovery
Install .zip from SD card
No need to wipe caches, script will do it for you.

Links are live...but I wouldn't use ART..as far as I know,it isn't supported on Eclipse_BLUR
Do you have plans to build this for other phones? I have been following your progress on this, and I'd love my Galaxy S3 to look this way.

Not sure..I suck at theme manager! In the past with my S4,I would stay on a Carbon nightly for awhile and just theme the apks for myself.
Looking good Jay glad you chose to release it
Working great and looking awesome. Thanks for this!

any chance you can make a flashable zip to change back to stock. Or should i just pull those apk's off before i flash and then replace them if i want to go back to stock?

Love the theme. Signal and Wi-Fi icons are little hard to see but great work.
A little something

How do you mean? Invert or chrome themed? I haven't looked at inverting it and TBO doesn't seem to like having their inverts redistributed so...Maybe.No promises though.

I'm not picky sir. Which ever is easiest. I'm trying to remove as much white background as possible. If you can great but please don't stress it
