I recently received the OTA from T-mobile and have been trying to get non HTC made skins to work on my device.
I've tried numerous skins eg: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144572 and none seem to work.
I install them without a problem, then I look in the skins menu and there are just the stock skins sitting in there.
Is this down to the skins being a bigger resolution and not being compatible with the resolution of the desire s?
I'm guessing that this is the smallest resolution device that is currently using sense 3.0.
I'd be over joyed if a dev ported a custom skin that worked with the desire s, as the stock skins are plain boring.
Anyone got any ideas?

Unfortunately this is down to Android 2.3.5 not Sense 3.0
Without the correct tools, we cannot change things like the lock screen and bottom bar. When the m10 tools are updated, then that'll all change.

InsertCoin worked well when I tried it. I'm staying put with Sense 3.0 though, because Sense 3.5 doesn't play nicely with using Exchange ActiveSync with Gmail (although that might not matter in your case).
To be honest though, Sense 3.0 looks nicer to me.. Sense 3.5 just seems black and white everywhere, even when using the Blue sky theme..

I would agree InsertCoin is very nice, but what did you mean about exchange/active sync what was your issue? Curious :\

might be best to take a look at each on in the Dev forum and see what looks best.
almost all are reliable, and basically it will come down to a personal decision about which one you like the look of most.
I am using LeeDROiD SuperSensational V4.0.0 . Fast and stable.
I would definitely have to say Bulletproof, I have tried other 3.5 roms and I kept getting freezing and f/c. Bulletproof is the only one without errors

ive tried many roms so far my favorites are digitalized with ICS theme and leedroid supsersensational
Using SENSEaY 2.0.0 myself. It'd been top notch for me, except for 1 nagging issue. Some apps in the market will tel me they aren't compatible with my device. Not even hardware reliant apps. I'm talking apps like Yelp and TripIt. lol

Bulletproof is the best. No bugs whatsoever. Roman is a great dev.
I agree on the bulletproof...best rom i've used to date on my Sensation(and I've tried most of them) Not saying others are bad but something about BP just felt right...stable..nice extras...and for me the real thing that kept me using it was my ridiculously amazing battery life. I'm a heavy user on my phone(it doesn't leave my hand) and I'd easily get 13+ hours without a charge. Usually I'd just through my phone on the charger before I went to bed and it was just hitting the red.
I have being busy in the begin of the release of ICS to put ice cream sandwich on my htc sensation with the first leaked rom, at that moment spotify didnt work.
I have being searching for the answer if this fixed but couldn't find any recent replies.
Can anyone please tell me if there is a ICS rom, with htc sense 3.0 unskinned (meaning no, to my opinion, ugly black/dark blue layer over htc sense, but just the standard sense look) where spotify works on.
Or any work around, or better that is works on all ICS roms with htc sense 3.0.
I would like to hear it if somebody knows the answer

I'll be flashing the Virtuous Inquisition ROM today and I'm not sure if it has the CRT Off effect. So what's the easiest way for me to get it?

It doesn't have it. FYI, the same rom across different phones can be completely different depending on that phone.
Anyway, the only way to have it on a Sense-based rom is to flash that "quick n dirty" patch in the Themes and Apps subforum. However, it kind of breaks your graphics with artifacts, so it's usually not worth doing.

I remember on the speedy when they started using Sense 3.5 it was before m10 was updated to vts to theme sense 3.5 what we would do was open an already themed Sense 3.0 fusion.apk and take It's shared.m10 file and place it into a Sense 3.5 skin.apk to theme as much as possible. Now I'm not saying this is a bulletproof method to doing so. But the idea is maybe the same thing can be done here to attempt porting a skin.
This might be something I try this Sunday when I have time to play to see about porting hawks mikmik skin over to MikXE. There are no promises it will work but It's an idea
