I'm sure there is an answer for this somewhere but does anybody know if a fix for WiFi encription? I live in an apartment complex and everybody keeps running on my WiFi network connection. I tried every application in the market and nothing works.
Thank you in advance.
Yes, download mastamoon's unofficial CM 10.1 over in the "original android development" thread. WPA/wpa2 works.

try using usb/wifi tethering third party softwaresfrom the play store .. cm9 has tethering issue .. expecting for it to get fixed with 3.x kernel ..
This issue has been adressed over & over again with the same solution. I know you mean well, but stop bumping old threads unless you have a new solution to offer.

Hi All,
I'm having issues with my 4G on the latest nightly of CM10. It's giving me no connection to the 4G network and when it says it's connected to 3G it's still greyed out so I have no data network available to me! Since I wiped the cache's to upgrade from the 8/20 nightly do I have to do any network calibration? Should I try flashing one of the other radios here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788313 ?
Thanks
I've seen this a lot on AOSP ROMS and unfortunately CM doesn't get a free pass. I'm sure it'll get better as development continues. Maybe try out a 4.0.4 based ROM. (Synergy)

It's weird though, when I first flashed the rom it was connecting to 4g EVERY time it had a signal. Now i'm lucky to get 3G...
Hello, noob here
I have been using CM 10 for about two weeks and everything was fine (sort of). However, after the latest nightly, my wifi will no lunger turn on. NO it is not a connection problem with my router or any other, the rom will simply read "Turning Wi-Fi on..." in setting but it will never actually turn on. This is happening on 2 differente CM nightlys as well as the most recent Unnoficial AOKP. Any suggestions?

Thanks, was having the same problem, knew it was a kernel issue, Ironically I was researching it before I posted and saw your solution, Thanks!
it seems the system UI is fixed, but now there is no Verizon mobile data connection. System seems to not be reporting valid information looking in Settings>About>Baseband version is "unknown"
anyone else using stingray having issue with mobile data?

I've cancelled my data plan, so I can't test, but I have a question for you. Were you able to install gapps? And if so, which version did you use? I haven't been able to get the latest version to install on 10.1. When I install the zip, it looks like it all works, but when I reboot, they're not there.
I previously asked a similar question which I think era_umea answered well. a link to the gapps that I have been using is from his/her response.
here is the thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167177
let me know if that helps.

Got gapps working now. Thanks for the reply.
I recently rooted my phone to CM 10.1.0-RCI-d2vzm and I can not connect to Wifi and my work. Usually when you connect to the wifi a separate screen pops up that says "click agree to the rules or what ever" then you are good to go. Before I rooted this would pop up on my phone, my previously rooted GS III running CM 10.1 would connect just fine.
any suggestions
Did you flash a kernel and was it for aosp?
