Hanging in boot screen. Please help! - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yesterday I up CyanogenMod 10 rom for my tablet, upgraded it to 4.2.1 and problems started from here: it wouldn't reponse to my touching at all. Then I flashed it with rootkit v8 and the tablet showed nothing but blank screen! Hopelessly I used every way I could find and finally come up with Easy Flasher 0.8.3. Now my tablet's stucking at bootscreen. I can't even enter recovery mode. Please help me with some guides, my mind is a freaking mess now :crying:

What did you do with easyflasher, install a recovery, or flash stock firmware?

Use easy flasher to flash a recovery, chuck a rom on an sd card and flash from the recovery.

Agreed. I would use EasyFlasher to install TWRP.
Put your favorite ROM (stock or otherwise) as a flashable.zip (if using stock be sure to unzip once) on a microSD formatted for FAT32.
Insert into tablet.
Install the ROM.
Profit

Thank you for your answers. I managed to get into this screen but it couldn't recognize my micro SD card.

Any suggestion?
//Sorry I'm a newbie of this

Wow, that CWM is old. I never used that one, it may not read from the external microSD and only the internal.
That is why I suggested flashing TWRP.

Stuck in Boot Loop!

I got the tablet "unlocked:, Rooted, And running clockworkmod recovery. I had over the air update to 4.1 before all this but had no issues. I downloaded a ROM for 4.1, and when I rebooted into CWM I went to wipe my data and thats when it happened. The data wipe froze. I ended up having to forcfully turn it off. Then I got bootloop. I can get into cwm but I cant find my ROM to flash it. So im literally stuck. Is there a One Click revert to stock I can use? Or anything? Many thanks to anyone who can help. Note: this is my 1st tablet - Asus Transformer tf300t

I have no access to my sd card. The ROM I downloaded previously does not show up in CWM.
You can't flash it again from cwm by redowloding, then putting on your SD card then munt in it?
U could reflash your unit with stock ROM using fastboot. I just unbricked my unit doing that after 5 days of fighting.
This is what I did, I downloaded job update from Asus then moved the blob to c/fast boot, loaded unit to fast boot then typed
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob
But make sure our boot loader is 10.4 or it will signature mismatch, so down load the appropriate boot loader .
That's what I did at least and my unit is working again.

I used
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob
read above edit.
i found the info here but had to tweak because once you upgrade bootload to 10.4 there is no going back it seems.
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-restore-asus-transformer-tf300t-back-to-stock/
you will lose your cwm, but you can re implement it when your done.

Can I use a custom ROM zip and get it from that? My internet is really slow tonight and 300mb is just crawling so downloading a stock ROM will take me another hour or so.... I am rooted if that helps.

it has to match your current bootloader. if you updated jellybean your bootloader version is 10.4 and that is irreversible. so find out if that rom works on your current boot loader. once you go jb you can't go back.
in short. idk. if you want your unit install a rom that is made for your bootloader. idk custom roms. i use stock os rooted.

Well this didn't work. I found the boot.blob and did what everything said to do but still boot loops. Not sure if it was because its not stock or not. I did notice that when I put in the command to reboot, it said it reboot but the tablet did nothing..... so is there a chance that it didn't even flash? It did seem very fast.
Verify boot loader version and use stock ROM.......
Find working custom ROM. Don't brick it

No I havent - how would i go about that?
It needs something to read to be able to flash...right now there's nothing on internal and wont mount to ADB
If I could flash via fastboot, would I be able to flash back the custom rom instead of the stock rom?

you dont need any anything to be able to flash. you just need a laptop with the asus drivers installed and the latest fastboot. I'm pretty sure you cant flash a custom rom with fastboot. i havent tried it myself but i wont take the risk. you could just flash the stock rom and then later intall the custom recovery and then go ahead and install the custom rom.
I think I got it. Thank GOD for the NEW TWRP recovery.
This is what I did. I poked around TWRP and noticed that I was able to change the storage location on where it looks to install. I thought...if I can load the zip to a micro SD and flash it from there..gravy.
Of course the day as it is...the SD reader on my comp stopped working..been running around the office trying to find on that did. Finally did...placed rom zip on it..rebooted into recovery..flashing right now as we speak
Praying and crossing fingers!
It freakin WORKED! I'm baaaaaack.
The only bad part is I lost my stock backup...but that's a small price to pay to have it working again.

[Q] Can't upgrade to 10.6.1.14.10 in TWRP

Hi,
I'm no expert in flashing tablets but I have done a few phones in the past, but I'm stuck with a problem trying to get the firmware file (10.6.1.1.10) upgraded to my Jellybean 4.2.1 install, so that I can eventually get CROMI-X on my tablet. I had '10' on my TF700 via OTA and downgraded to '8' to get root (as per the CROMI-X instructions but I can't get '10' to load via TWRP, I just get "refresh failed. Please try again" I've tried shortening the filename-loading from SD card and Internal storage-redownloading the file but nothing changes. I did notice that when I boot into TWRP, it will say 'Updating partition tables' even before I attempt to flash the update and it will appear to be stuck at this point after checking the .md5 file.
Can anyone offer any suggestions or anything I can try without bricking the thing?

Any 10.6.1.14.x bootloader is compatible with CROMI-X 5.x, so you don't need to upgrade to .10.

So you think I can just go ahead and install CROMI-X now? For future reference, is the 'Updating partition details' in TWRP normal? I don't remember seeing this when I first installed.
Thanks for the help.

To be 100% sure, check in the bootloader menu (before you select RCK) that your bootloader build version is 10.6.1.14.x, with x either 4, 8, or 10.

Did you browse to the right folder that has the cromi zip file? In TWRP, you can select the internal sd or external sd. Make sure that you have selected the right sd card...

Okay, I redownloaded the ROM file and copied it to the SD...plugged it back in the tablet and booted into TWRP, ....now I see both! oh well, I installed the ROM and now have CROMI-X running on this baby! Thanks for your help and advice guys.
One small thing that I noticed, again with TWRP is that when I invoke the power menu, I don't get any options to boot to recovery...or anything non-standard for that matter. I think my TWRP might be broken, is there a way to uninstall/reinstall?
Thanks again guys.

TWRP on tf700t, you have only two options on the boot menu. One is a reboot to your system. Second is power off your device.
About the uninstall/reinstall, all you need is to flash the TWRP blob on top of your existing one....
Edit: I think that your TWRP is working properly. If you don't have to flash your custom recovery again, you can minimize the risk of brick your device. Please don't mess with your bootloader and your recovery unless you must touch them for a good reason. Otherwise, just leave them alone. Just my two cents....

Root with no usb connectivity?

Hello
About 6 month ago I got a n8010, but,
usb port only charges
It won't connect to pc, or work with any card reader
Seems the data is broken
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633765
Is there any new way/app to root from sd card ?
Method 1B
You can find and download the update.zip by yourself, place it on the phone in /sdcard/ and boot into recovery using the 3 button method, choose the option "re-install package" TWO TIMES to load into CWM. Once again the update.zip needs to remain on the phone. DO NOT DELETE!

Is it really a safe way ? (knowing that I won't be able to use odin if things go wrong ;x, tho I'm careful)
Can I just get a new update zip everytime CWM upgrades?
Could I always flash new rom from SD card and CWM, or would I sometime need to use odin ?
Could I also back to stock without odin ?
Thanks for help !
Babybump :x
Anyone?
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276
Thanks for reply
I tried Framaroot,exynosabuse,towelroot,z4root none of this apps work for me (I know some may not be design for tablet, but told myself I had to give it a try)

HTC Logo then black screen

Hi Everyone,
I've tried to root my htc one s for the first time and I guess it went quite wrong... I followed these tutorials
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528113
Stupidly enough I didn't make a backup from my original android and can't recover now. After installing the CM 11 rom, phone now starts with the HTC logo but then just goes to black (I think it's still on because it connects to the pc)
In clockwork recovery I am able to install zip files from sd / from sideload and i can see my sd card on my pc (and put zips on it).
Can anyone help me out pls? I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!
