I just received my 64GB sd card and was surprised to find out TWRP 2.2.2.3 did not support ex-fat. Is there a version somewhere that does support it?
P.S. I don't mind switching recoveries if that is what is recommended.

Don't be surprised that free software doesn't support Microsoft's proprietary and patented filesystem. Just format it with fat32 or use a smaller card for recovery.

I have formatted it to FAT32 for now but I know Ziggy wrote a TWRP that does support ex-FAT for some devices. Guess I'll head over to his site and see if by chance he has written one for this thing. I just thought there would be a version for this tablet.

I believe the latest twrp version does support exfat.
okay. so i have:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7'' (8gb internal / 32gb microSD external) running Jelly Bean 4.1.1
1-. i rooted it
2-. partition the microSD leaving (1st partition with 28gb FAT32 / 2nd partition with 1gb ext2)
3-. downloaded Link2SD and linked to the ext2 partition
4-. linked almost every app (screenshot)
yet the info in "storage" says i'm storing everything in the internal memory (screenshot).
i linked "Fifa 12" to external SD and started downloading it (aprox 1.2gb) and while it downloads i can see how the free space from the internal storage goes down.
am i doing something wrong?, thanks in advance!
here i add a screenshot showing that partition i made (i did it fine as far as i know)
please...anyone? =(

Naw you didn't do anything wrong. I'm still trying to figure this out myself. I have a 32gb sd card myself and it's rendered useless so far
Try this out. Maybe you will have luck with it

already did =(, no luck.
so we're stucked until someone modifies the Swap SD card mod for jelly bean?
i decided to add some videos and books manually to the SD card to at least do "something" useful with the tablet and now i get an error at the google play store.
i've had this thing for a couple of days and i'm sick of it. i should have go the nexus 7 32gb, only if i knew before...

I couldn't get it to run right ( I mean mount2sd). Kept hiding my apps and doing buggy stuff. Link2sd would at least move some pass over. I mean on 4.2.2. I only use the script above on pre 4.2

Try This http://www.computerbild.de/download/Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition-5546547.html Mini Partition Wizard

I dont think the external SD card swap works with 4.2.x only 4.1.x and below.
Thank you for the quick response.ive been rrading through the releases and it says they have storage supportbwith some kernels and some people are saying gl2sd, swapsd, and link2sd.what use is the sdcard to only hold pictures, movies, and music if you cant transfer apps and data to it.my opinion is google is kinda forcing people to spend money on the bigger gig tabs.well until they find a solution im going to hang on with 4.1.2.

Just wanted to ask if any body knows what's happened to add to SD option. I recently rooted my tab2 and now running 4.3 with slim bean first thing I noticed I had to reformat my SD to fat32 as exfat is no longer recognized.. Then I noticed no app to SD.
This is not a major issue but I did find it handy and would really like to get this back if possible so any help or tips would be appreciated.
Oh andi have tried a few other ROMs as well. None have this option.
Apart from that the ROMs pretty dam good

Hey bud I'm running into the same problem on my tablet I have the sph-p500 version from sprint I'm still running the stock rom cause I guess there's nothing out yet for this version but I've done all the formatting for the extend are and using link2sd not app2sd it still won't let you move apps to ext sd but you can link the folders to free up alittle space I'm new to android and to this site but it seems to me like people on here are alittle weary about talking to junior members it sucks because I could really use there advice in the most recent versions of android the primary sd card is emulated therefore will not alow ext to be primary due to security reasons
Hello mate sorry for the mega late reply I work offshore. I come to think now its just not possible to appto SD but hey never mind my pad has plenty storage its just a shame I cannot utilize the 64gb SD card I have lol never mind I will keep searching for a solve.

Apps 2 sd is only possible if you're running stock firmware jb 4.2.2.
If you want to move apps, use link2sd but you need to make partition in your external sd.
