[APP][4.2+] Dashclock Whatsapp Notifications Extension! 1.1.4 [05/05/2013] - Android Apps and Games

Hi guys!
I'm developing an extension for Dashclock app (You can download it from the Play Store)
The extension will show unread messages from Whatsapp.
IT'S A BETA, so there may be bugs.
There's already a similar extension on the Play Store that I tried but it has not real-time notifications: you have to lock and un lock your screen to view unread messages from whatsapp. Mine has real time notifications!
You can freely download and install the extension and report bugs and suggestions in this forum.
ONLY FOR ANDROID 4.2+!!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download the extension on you smartphone
Install the extension
Activate accessibility service from Accessibility item in Android Settings
Add the extension from Dashclock Settings
Let's have a try
UPDATE 23/03/2014
Sorry guys...I won't update this extension and this thread anymore.
There are other similar extensions on the play store more updated than mine
If anyone of you wants the source code I will be glad to give it to you.
Changelog 1.1.4
Added Spanish translation. (Thanks to brusapa)
Changelog 1.1.3
Now shows full contact name rather than only last part of the contact id!
Changelog 1.1.2
Avoid collecting and then showing notifications on the lock screen when screen is on and phone is unlocked
22/03/2013
Fixed a bug that broke the Google Now hotword. (Thanks to catchem99 for reporting the bug)
Fixed crashes with Tweakers.net app. (Thanks to Baswazz and MrMagic for reporting the bug)
19/03/2013
Fixed some random crashes
16/03/2013
Added turkish translation (Thanks to abdullahazad)
24/02/2013
Changed extension icon. Now the phone is centered as some of you requested!
Changelog 1.1.1
Modified senders list from "Message from Buddy1, Message from Buddy2" to "Message from: Buddy1, Buddy2"
Updated translations strings
Minor fixes
Changelog 1.1
Added preference: Turn on screen when receveing notification
Now shows more than one "Message from..." if there are many senders
Added Italian translation
18/02/2013
Added German translation (thanks to mkl23)
Corrected a bug that caused crash soon after installing or booting the phone.
The strings.zip contains string.xml file. If you wants to add translation you're welcome. Thanks!

Thank you Could you do the same for Hike?
Thanks in advance

It's not a standalone app. It's a plugin for the app Dashclock. It capture Whatsapp notifications and shows them on the lock screen. That's all

Re: [APP][4.2+] Dashclock Whatsapp Notifications Extension!
Good job on this. One suggestion, the notifications are displayed within brackets... Would look cleaner without.

Quite some mixed reviews here. Anyone that can properly test if it works properly, some screenshots?
For example, is this the same as this release: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrubin ?

That it's not mine. It's similar but it doesn't notify in real time, e.g.: if you have your lock screen active and you receive a whatsapp you won't see the notification; you have to turn off screen and then turn on again.

THANKS!

It doesn't work on the latest (ie, not on play store) version of WhatsApp. you have to download it directly from the official website:
http://www.whatsapp.com/android/
I've enabled it in Accessibility section too. Thanks!

Download Play Store APK 3.10.9

Anyway, there’s one thing we did notice though. The newly leaked Play Store APK asks the following location permissions:
Approximate location (network-based)
Precise location (GPS and network-based)
Other than that there are absolutely no noticeable changes in the app. No new UI or features.

I think theres no use if no new features are present

[APP][4.2] AnyDash - Show notifications from any app in your DashClock Widget

AnyDash is a small extension for DashClock Widget. It allows you to select any app on your phone and it'll grab notifications from that app (the same notifications you see in your status bar) and display them in your DashClock Widget.
Google Play Store Link
Donate/Pro Link - Allows up to 3 AnyDash widgets in one go - Will not work properly if AnyDash free is also installed
Note: Some apps notifications aren't picked up, if you find any which don't show notifications in AnyDash let me know and I'll see what I can do
Oh and if anyone wants to have a go at a better icon feel free.. mine's a bit pants I know.. Enjoy!!
For anyone who has a particular app that doesn't work can you do the following:
1 - Setup the app you want in AnyDash as usual
2 - Trigger a notification so, for example, send an email to yourself and wait for it to appear in your status bar
3 - Get the logcat (filter for 'robj.any.dash' or robj.any.dashpro' depending on which one your using) - you can use CatLog from the Play Store to do this and pm it to me
Once I get that I can add support no problem
hi there! thanks for this extension..
i tried to use this with 8tracks, however, it force closes everywhere. FC is solved as soon as the connection is removed..
New version is up..
- Added the option to change the icon
- Tidied up the UI
- Some minor bug fixes
As to the 8tracks bug I couldn't reproduce it could you try on the latest update and see if you still get it.. also which ROM are you on?
This sounds like an epic win. WhatsApp is also included?

Is it possible to add multiple extensions of anydash for more than one custom app? It would also be nice if we were able to select an icon from an icon pack we already have installed. Thanks for all your hard work.
Are you planning on adding more icons? Or do you need help.
I'd love a WhatsApp icon.

I can add a Whatsapp icon for the next release, due to the way you add the icon atm there's no way to allow custom ones (I have tried) but I emailed Roman and he said this will most likely be possible in a future version of DashClock Widget.
And as far as multiple extensions for multiple apps I've tried but it looks like it supports 1 extension per app at a time so AnyDash can only show one thing, I'll continue to look into this though
Had a quick try at an icon, but didn't really end up with anything I liked. I've uploaded it anyway in case you want to use it http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7752006/1/anydash-icon-v2.png

If you like that icon you can use it. Let me know if you have any other ideas, maybe sometime I can try and work something out for you.
I do and I appreciate the effort but I was thinking of something more simple.. like shapes but using the holo colors maybe?
Anyone been able to get this working with Google Now?
I'm doing an update shortly.. if there's an app not working people want working let me know so I can add it in.. and if any Google Voice users want to help me get it working let me know as I'm in UK so can't even test it
So far I've got Talk and I'm working on Google Messenger, Plus, Now (how can you trigger notifications in now?)

Sony releases new update for Smartwatch 2 on 12/4/23

Sony has been listening to all the feedback on the interwebs about the SmartWatch 2. They just released a new December 4, 2013 update to the Google Play store.
Download or update the "SmartWatch 2 SW2" app. It will automatically update the watch software as well.
Here's what's new:
- Bug fixes
- Improved stability
- Larger font sizes
- Added automatic light sensing
-Added possibilities to "Fast scroll" in notification lists and notification events.
- Stop watch is added as a native application.
- Added possibilities to mark all notifications as read from the action button in any notification application.
- Added several new watch faces!!!! (Finally a digital clock face with Date and Day of the week!
What are your thoughts on the update? Noticed any improvements? How is battery life after the update?
Please use the thread started yesterday, no need for multiple threads about the same thing.

Cool... Updating now! :good:
After the update, the watch is faster and more responsive. When I click an icon and it "thinks", there is an animation with 3 vertical lines, to show you that something is happening.

Today there was finally an update for the Calendar app of sony that fixes the allday event bug FINALLY!
I wish they would fix the GMail notification extension. Worked perfectly before this update but now it is useless.

Thanks so much for that JarlSX. Gmail notification is working again now.
Hi,
I have little case with SW2 and Xperia Z1. From the latest software update I noticed that when I get a txt msg I have notification on watch and on phone. If I open the msg on the watch, this msg is also read on phone. But... on the phone I still can see active notification on status bar and on msg app icon. And what is worst even if I open the msg on the phone, notification doesn't disappear. The only thing I can do is to delete msg.
Is anybody having similar problem and knows how to resolve it? If so pls help.
Milosz.

Unfortunately the "mark all read" button isn't working for me. When I press it all my feeds are still there.
A useful feature you could add is when you double tap or long press a story it gets marked as read.
Great work by the way, I've been using it for a day and I'm already loving it!

[APP][4.1+][Flutter] Call Manager

Call Manager is an organizer for phone calls that you need to make. This app was written using Google Flutter SDK and features a beautful Material Design 2 interface.
Features:
Add a phone call with a name, number, and optional call description. Each call will be added to a chronological list of Call Cards on the main screen.
Options per Call Card:
[1] Call
[2] Send SMS
[3] Edit Call
[4] Set Notification Reminder
[5] Delete Call
Add a contact from your own contact list. The name and number fields will autofill with that contact's name and phone number

I looked into this, and since the main activity is refreshed every time the theme is changed, it will show the splash screen every time the theme is changed. I don't like that implementation. I'll keep it on the back burner in case I find a better implementation, but right now I'm focusing on getting the reminder notification feature to work. Thanks for the suggestion!
I am pulling builds 0.14.1 and 0.14 as the notification feature is crashing the app on my devices that are < API 26. Please downgrade if you have updated to either of these builds and are encountering crashes when clicking 'Save' when creating a reminder.
Build 0.14.2 is live with fixes that allow notification reminders to work on devices < API 26
