[4.0+][Launcher]HD 3D Launcher - Android Apps and Games

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHH6wndGVhg
This launcher is a different kind of launcher. It is different in a lot of areas. It has a different type of app drawer, a cool 3D contacts and dialer app built in, and as you can tell by the screen shots, a different way of showing apps on the home screen. Instead of showing traditional icons, the apps banner on the Play Store is shown (you can have traditional icons of you want). These banners can be edited on the home screen and resized to your liking. They can also be stretched vertically instead of the traditional horizontal-based widgets. Contacts can also be added to the home screen too. And the best part is, everything is in HD. The app is only 720kb to download and was last updated 5 days ago (2/11/13 if your reading this days after I posted). I am not the developer of this app, just sharing it. There is a free and pro version. Here is the Play Store Description. -

Can you post screenshots of the launcher? I think we'd all like to have an idea of how it looks before we download it.
screen shots
attach the screenshots.
So what, exactly, is special about this launcher?
I like the concept. Great for users migrating from the iPhone, or those that want a simple interface. I downloaded it from the market last week, and have been playing around with it.
It places all your applications on a series of home (application) screens when first installed. You are then able to add up to 3 widget screens, which are placed to the left of the application screens. You can re-arrange your applications by grouping them into folders. These folders as well as your applications can be placed anywhere other than the widget screens, in any order. It doesn't have an apps drawer and so your wallpaper is visible at all times.
heyy dude!! I think itz too simple... i think an app drawer wid 3D wd b gud... N sum custom icons wid gud transition effects wd b gr8!!
Very nice.
Having an iPhone, this looks and feel just like it. Keep up the good work.

I have to attach screenshots in attachment.
THank you.
Thanks for the clues.
Can someone change the layout to fit the Wildfire's screen?
Meh. The ui is boring and ugly lol.

I tried vlauncher the other day, from the Market. What it does, it does well. I would like to see it do more. Here are my two suggestions:
1. Allow shortcuts and bookmarks on the Widget pages. In the standard Android launcher, is very convenient to get to battery use or a weather bookmark with one press of an icon on the screen.
2. In your settings, have an entry for the column and row sizes. On the 7 inch screen of my Nook Color I would like more than 4 columns and 4 rows of icons on each screen.
If you add these two features I think I could use vlauncher every day.

[APP] GO Launcher 1.1.3 released.

We have just finished the first release of Go Launcher.
Uploaded onto Google Market. It seems most of users like it.
We are very glad to hear your opinion. Please help us to make it better. Thanks.
Go Launcher is an amazing home replacement app for Android .
-Extremely smooth scrolling
-Convenient icon pop-menu
-Gesture supported
-Useful app drawer to uninstall apps and kill tasks
-Removable screen previews (Up to 30 screens)
Guys~ Let me explain something most of users may concern about:
1. Q: GO Launcher(GL) restart (redraw) sometimes after quitting from other app?
A: It's android's feature that system automatically kill some processes whenever available memory is low. When you see redraw/restart, it means GL has been removed from memory due to the app you just run which might be consuming too much resource (such as games...).. That's the same reason that GL becomes little bit laggy when system's used memory reachs about 250M. In the next two release, we will consider provide a 'keep-in-memory' option to user (like LP already did). That way, android won't kill GL even in case of low memory and you will get better feel of 'speed'.
2. What are the new features of next release? (tomorrow...)
Q:
A. Support scrollable widget and widget resizing!
B. Icons won't be missing and stay the same spot after upgrading.
C. Much faster switching between tabs in function chart.
D. Fix some crash issues for Droid phones
E. Support folder in app drawer.
F. (available two releases later) Theme save and restore.
Also, recommend 'GO SMS' and 'GO Weather' developed by other folks in Dev team. .New Arrivals.
If you like Go Launcher, recommend it to your friends .
We will keep working and make the best launcher for you !
Please check updates from Google Market.
Any feedback please email to [email protected] in case I might be missing questions here in forum. Thanks!

Glad you like it. Choosing dock icon (even app icon) from gallery will be in next release. Actually, it will not be just use gallery pic. It's beyond that. :--)
Great work! Looks very promising. Thank you so much.
Can you add the option to turn off vibrations when adding icons, removing home screens etc.

Waaaaay MIUI... Liking it though

I like you app drawer (or function chart as you call it). But it would be nice if there is a possibility to have less apps on one site (for example only 6 on second page). This isn't possible now, because when you move an app to another page one from the next page comes to the page you moved an app away.
Is there any way to make scrollable widgets work ?
Screen Shot?
Yeah i like this launcher, MIUI Style I love it.
Ok, i'm a big fan of LauncherPro, but I must say that GO Launcher really has a lot of potential. IT IS AWESOME and very refreshing.
Anyway, I think it would be even more awesome with some adjustment
some of the settings are quite... confusing i think. I expected "turn on screen rotation" to turn the screen orientation but instead it is actually the drawer's mode... which is weird.
also, I can has bigger homescreen icon? :< or something like same size icons of MIUI roms.
Resizing widgets would make this launcher awesome.

BTW i think it still need polishing... FC on me.
but as I said, i would love to see this launcher improving.
Missing animation between homescreen and preview.
Got a FC when i start Go Launcher from the drawer.
Drag and Drop to Dock, native folder support and multilanguage would be nice
Very promising launcher! Keep it up devs!
Just my 2 cents, would it be good if the function chart (or app drawer) can be made into a loop (similar like the dock)? So after the last page we'll return to the first one (without having to flip back several times).
Another minor issue on my HTC Legend (mdpi) the font size on "Add to desktop" looks way too big imho. Maybe you can consider to polish the text as well (e.g. Shortcut instead of ShortCut, Homescreen settings (I think more appropriate as compared to setting)).
Just my 2 cents
Looks real cool. The only thing that keeps me with launcherpro is widget resizing.
Another essential thing that I miss is an option to use images as custom icons for docked apps.
Also I'd highly recommend speeding up the "function chart" scrolling speed.
One more thing that comes to my mind is that item from a homescreen is deleted only when dragged over trash icon. Would be way more convenient if the action was performed when dragged over dock (not only trash icon). That's "cosmetics" tho ;]
Apart from that, incredible work. Love the MIUI style.
Keep up the good work!
Can someone post some screenshots?

I agree with everyone... VERY promising... i would love to see folder support in the app drawer as well as hiding apps (or hiding folder) I'll keep my eye on it for sure.. cant quite take over launcher pro plus yet

[POTENT COMBO] Apps that compliment each other and make for potent combos

The idea of this thread is to share experiences of what apps you've found that compliment each other so that their combination makes for a better overall experience.
Here's what I've found so far:
Autostarts & Task Identifier
Task Identifier alerts you when an app starts in the background, so you can know what's going on with your phone at all times. Autostarts breaks down all of the phone's event triggers that apps can hook into to be started. So TI alerts you when something goes on...Autostarts can provide the reasons.
LauncherPro & Elixir
LauncherPro is a home replacement app. Elixir is an app that provides lots of system info widgets...But the really sweet capability is its' more powerful and robust options of home screen icon layouts (like fitting 49 icons in a 4x4 layout!). LauncherPro's own 'Auto-fit Items' options for homescreen icons adds to the overall functionality so these 2 apps play well together.
Apps Organizer & Titanium Backup
I run CM7 nightlies, which means a lot of reinstalling system apps I don't want. Having an option in TB to remove a bunch of apps based on saved labels is a godsend! Apps Organizer lets you categorize and label all the apps installed and TB just so happens to recognize those labels. So the 2 play nice together.
I hope that's helpful and look forward to hearing from other that've found potent combos.
Mini Info and LauncherPro
I use Mini Info's volume control as a swipe gesture on a dock icon, works pretty nice

ADW launcher and widgetoid work well with options for up to 5x5 widgets.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
My current favorite widget locker and make your own clock (in beta in this forum)
Launcher Pro (again) and LCD Density (or a manual edit of build.prop)
I have Launcher Pro to have 6x6 icons and that's too many to see the icon labels. With the density lowered (200 in my case) you can see them, which is nice
Launcher Pro + Multipicture Live Wallpaper
have a look at a thread i posted here, video included as well:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=924865
Tasker goes well with pretty much anything.
But with Tasker + Minimalistic Text you can have all sorts of custom info on your screen.
Keepassdroid and Dropbox for the sync.

[App idea] A proper wallpaper changer app

Hi everyone,
For the last couple of weeks I have been trying find a wallpaper changer app that will change the wallpaper with a given time interval from a selected folder with the wallpapers inside.
I have tried a couple of apps but none of them are effective enough. By this I mean they just change the wallpaper. They don't mimmic sliding default wallpaper movement.
If there was an app that did this I would love it if it had the option of a fade effect when it changes the wallpapers.
I'd pay for a donate version of it if it had a library of wallpaper packs to download from like minimal, nature, scenery etc.
Can this be done as a live wallpaper or does it need to be an app?
Or do you know an application that already does it?
Thanks

Have you tried "WALLME" from NumericMe, heres the link for the lite ver.
http://market.android.com/details?id=com.numericme.wallme&feature=search_result
For $ 1.40, the Full Edition has
● No ads
● More than 3 pictures sources allowed
● Grayscale display feature unlocked (save battery for devices with OLED screens)
● Double-tap and Notification-tap actions can be changed
● More special effect: reverse scrolling
Sound likes a live wallpaper which is similar to a slideshow. Users can change photos on their own
what about wiki wallpapers?
The one I use is called "wallswitch" .
Works fine and it slides the image like default so I guess that's what you look for.
Sent from my DROID PRO using XDA App
I used wallswitch for a while it works fairly well.

WallSwitch was just what I was looking for. Thank you.
You might also like my WebLiveWallpaper (xda thread here) (possibly only the "Your Pictures" Picture gallery quick selection). Or if not maybe you can tell me what features to add to please your needs!

Using as default on CM7 right now, would love to see option for standard up/down scrolling app list but otherwise I love it! Also, a few more widgets would be nice
This thing is dope! Would like a vertical 3d app drawer and ability to hide apps. Other than that, pretty cool.
After a couple hours of using on my incredible the phone started crashing. When I deleted it the problems stopped. With some refinements it will be awesome though!!
Wait. Not only is this gorgeous, but its free too? I can't wait to see the improvements to this over the next few months. Good call OP, thanks for sharing!

I like it a lot, a bit laggy for my taste though.. Set it up and froze it with titanium until some nice updates come out haha.
I like it but its too laggy. SPB Launcher is better in my opinion.
