Wanted to let everyone know that I have been making videos for the community for a year now. I'm very excited to share these videos with you all!!
What to expect:
I have videos coming out every week and this will make it easier for those of you who can't seem to find a ROM that you like or perhaps want to know what ROM features are in them. You will be able to see those features and decide for yourself which ROM FITS YOU BEST!!! I will be showing quadrants from some ROMs as well as other SCORES like linpack, nenamark and other benchmarks. Just let me know what you would like to see. I do many different types of phones and ROMS so anything you want to see or know let me know.
I also have a NOOB TUTORIAL coming out that will explain how to ROOT and add ROMS to your phone STEP BY STEP EASY INSTRUCTIONS!

Good post.
This could be a decent help to many users here. Keep the good work.
Cheers!! :good:
Thank you sir! Appreciate it.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to see the changes made in ROM through Screenshots. When making a huge changes then upload a video for better understanding.
It would be great if this could be done (especially seeing as the changelog lists every single detail that most people don't even care about).
But most devs are probably busy developing their own stuff. One the other hand, I think if someone steps up and volunteers to do this, I'm sure it could be done (best hop on the #omni IRC to discuss it).
Hey there guys my name is Leonard and I've just started up a channel for all around tech. I of course love android but also am a fan of all OS's. Primarily videos on my channel are going to be device reviews along with reviews of themes and xposed modules so if you are interested here's my very first video which is basically this but in video form. Tomorrow I will upload my first actual video pertaining to tech so keep an eye out for that!
Here's a link to the vid:

Hey gents,
I was just wondering if anyone had a good set of instructions for making effective YouTube videos? I recently started an XDA-Thread for the Nexus 6 where I'm going to attempt to review all of the popular Nexus 6 ROMs. I want to include video reviews as well, so that people who prefer to watch those can still join in on the conversation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
For reference, my reviews are linked in my signature.
Hi there!
Reviewing is very important for us users most of the time, personally I like to see what I'm going to get beforehand so I know what to expect.
(sadly I cannot see the videos as I'm on my phone)
What you should do is have a stead camera aiming at the area you have the device it self. Keep it slightly close, not too far away.
Keep your facts about the rom, device or whatever it is in point. Don't use run off sentences. Keep it simple but detailed about it. Not too shabby.
Tell us about your opinion on it, we like to know what you think of it. Keep the video editing professional. I suggest using Sing Vegas or iMovie to edit your footage.
Have a simple 5 second intro, its annoying when intros are 20 seconds long and it loses the users interest.
And post your YouTube link in your post, just to make it easier for people like me to see it.
Good luck!

Sadly, I haven't made any videos yet, or else I would have linked to it as an example> I'm curious what type/how to make the intros and graphics. Do you have any example videos that you think I should use as a semi-template for mine?
On my reviews, all I have at this point are blog reviews, to which I'll add videos once I get a good idea of how to make them.

For intros you can find many tutorials on YouTube. You can also get pre-made ones, just search Intro Templates.
And I don't have any video examples, but try taking a look at mkbhd. He's a fantastic reviewer.

Intro Templates!!! Aha! That should help me figure it out, thanks! I don't know why I never thought to search for a term like that.
I hate when there's something that simple out there and you never even think of it as an option. I'll take a look and see if there's any sort of intro templates I can find that will work with iMovie.
