I just found this theme thread with some good looking statusbar mods at the end of first post

but I have a problem with them, I can easily install then and select them in viper tweaks but when I select then I have a problem.. the WIFI icon is directly connected to the Mobil signal icon... How can I make a little distance beetween this two icons? See attachment thanks for any reply.

Just a guess based on your screenshot, but it's the size of the WiFi png images in the statusbar apk. Try editing them so they're not quite so big. That might solve the issue. Just an idea.

Can edit that apk for you. or if you want i can change that wifi png file to other one, please attached apk file here which you want me to edit then will send you edited apk back.

elegancia coloured looks alot different,ive changed alot,just made a desireX coloured aswell,got 1 or 2 things to finish then it should be available soon

fastest way : use one of the launcher (go launcher,adw,etc) and then download the theme....
other way : decompile,change icon, compile back some apk (CMIIW)....but I never try it before, so I don't know which apk you must decompile.... sorry for that...

thanks for the reply, though i know the launchers... it's just that i wanted to have icons alone... for the steel blue theme that has been ported for G-Fit...
probably, i have to wait more for something, for bulk changes...
You have to change the apk's icons one by one if you don't use any launchers that supports icon packs (stock launcher)

I am not sure about WinRAR....
Have you tried it?
WinRAR's Compression methods are different than that of 7-ZIP and I am not sure if you will end up with the correct compression for your modified APK file....

Some icons of some apps are stored in the ".apk" file of the particular app.....

I use winrar too, to change the statusbar icon
Well 7zip is better than winrar and its what I use when compiling and editing apk files

its much and much easier
i have builded an .zip
where are just some filemaps with there name on it like mms.apk
and in that you will find res map and in there another map and in there just an icon you can change this icon in what you want and zip all files again
no need to pull every apk and do it one by one
(will upload the zip as soon possible )

if you download from here the zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421126
when openend you find only filemaps with the name of an app like mms.apk
insinde is res map and another map
just place in the last map your icon rename it like thevicon in there and zip it again
but i think you will need to mod an xml file because the fit is an ldpi screen ....

I need help theming tweaks.apk, specifically the images shown in the sliders. I'm a n00b when it comes to theming, but I'm also not afraid of possible bricks and the like. If someone has any info, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

if you're trying to theme the sliders and thngs on the lockscreen then you don't have to theme the Tweaks.apk you have to look in the framework-res.apk as that is where all the lockscreen pics are in

Yep it's in /res/drawable-hdpi/ folder the sliders you are looking for are all the way at the bottom of that folder...good luck

for tweaks it was a good question but for themes there's a lot of guides and sources u can check for that on google man so try searching a bit too. eh!
but I'll answer it, to check what a theme changes just open up the file of the theme u flashed and check to see what files were changed and you'll know where to check.
I made a couple of changes to alter the dark gray statusbar to pureblack and disabled the irritating battery full notification on the GT-9505
tested and confirmed working on ME2 odexed/deodexed roms :fingers-crossed:

I use cwm and odexed version of 9505 MDM firmware, I ran both files through apktool again and posted them again, both files works fine :fingers-crossed:

@bruzski: i try by myself with my deodex to chage in black color statusbar as you, i compile and everything is fine, but when i flash systemUI with this mod, when telefhone turn on, systemUI crash and have fc..
I decompiled and changed color in "res/values/drawables.xml" as i every time do with my S2 (and threre work always fine), but here i have this issue.. I miss to do something? Change something to do in S4 apks? (i now to use apktool, manage with that, delete resources in keep folder ecc)

I can confirm that it does not work on odexed ME2.
@bruzski-Is is going to be possible for you, of you have the SystemUI.apk from ME2, to decompile it and make the status bar black? I by myself, but everywhere I see java errors and it simply does not want to decompile it properly.

hey it's transparent yes, but if you select a downloaded wallpaper you normally get a dark gray statusbar and not real black, that's why i made this little mod

ahh.... that makes sense.... very nice indeed.. i did not try it on black background... i just saw it was transparent and then i went on to another one... i prefer it being black all the time..
but great job... it looks better than stock by many miles

Finally I decided to theme our default SystemUI.apk to S6 styled SystemUI.apk. Its still work in progress. Its a lil bit difficult, I understood now. BTW, 80% done. Now I decided to share my small work with you
NOTE: Pls pls pls make a backup of your SystemUI.apk before flashing this. If anything went wrong, pls dont blame me. This is my first work for n900.
It will work only on STOCK N900 LOLLIPOP firmwares. I didn't tried on other roms. Bcoz I'm using stock lollipop now

S6 Statusbar icons

S6 Notification panel original colour
S6 Like layout (Touches the edges to the screen)

This could be of great use to people who dont like what Custom ROMs offer. Any chance you'll give us an app to change stuff, there are way to many people requesting features such as internet speed meter. Im asking cause i see no sense why Samsung has put that Quick Connect bar there...

I tried alot for wifi name, but not succeeded. But will try. And for brightness bar thin, I think you need to edit framework-res.apk. It is in there.

1. In colors.xml, you have to change color values of "notification_header_bg_tw" and "tw_quick_connect_layout_bg"
2. In dimens.xml, change value of "notification_side_padding" to 0.0dip. By default its 8.0dip.
S6 SystemUI [UPDATE 2]

Small update:
1. Added divider between S Finder and Quick connect
2. Reduced text size of "Auto" of auto brightness checkbox.
3. Some more toggle icons changed.

Its for n900 and stock lollipop rom. I haven't checked for other roms.
Hi Today id like to share my modified SystemUI.apk for NOUGAT 7.0 (39.x.x.x442) and now 7.1 (41.x.x.x.8).
As the title suggests, it has been modified with the combined Data/WiFi cluster, moved to the left side of status bar, and the clock centered. Just flash the zip in recovery and reboot. Working on .442.
Works on odexed rom, I tested before deodexing .442.

is it possible to port something like this for sony z5 premium nougat too? its awsome , i barely know how to compile and decompile systemui.apk but i dont know how to change the lines , for example i really want center clock and your idea to combine data and wifi awsoooome , and rounded corners of the notifications these are my dreams could any one do one of them for me at least? sorry if im in wrong thread but i didnt see something like this any where <3

thanks in advance ^_^ and is it possible to reduce the icons size in statusbar? in nougat they look really big i have attached my last statusbar screen shots from MM which i had modified with xposed fsb
-hide battery indicator and just number of percentage
-dual sim networrk just 2 dots for each network
-center clock
-wifi 4 dots to be similar with other side of the clock
after lots of search and time wasting i just managed to center the clock only
i reaaaally thank you if u do this changes , i cant stand status bar in this style and 3rd party apps just not smooth and enough for me as you know yourself

Give the attached zip a try, hopefully it works.
You can unzip the test.zip and replace the modified systemui.apk with your own stock file and rezip so you have a flashable stock backup.
Download link updated, now based off .442 systemui.apk

Give the attached zip a try, hopefully it works.
You can unzip the test.zip and replace the modified systemui.apk with your own stock file and rezip so you have a flashable stock backup.

Hmm, I will have a look at it shortly, im not sure what I can do about the 2 signals, I forgot you were dual sim.

Download the zip attached to that post, inside are two xml's from a deodexed systemui.apk.
Deodex then decompile your systemui.apk and edit your files to match (you can try to copy and paste but it may have errors), recompile and hopefully it worked.

If you didnt back up your stock systemui.apk, you will have to wait till tomorrow and I will add one to the OP. As for the stock wifi icon, I will have a play tomorrow, it shouldn't be hard at all really. I have fixed the small gaps (signal cluster moves a little to the right when wifi is on and notifications were a bit far over as well) so I will add that tomorrow too :good:.
