OTG support :( - HTC Desire S

I just ordered an OTG cable to try out on my DS, but on the Internet I found out that maybe it doesn't support USB host... If it doesn't. I saw people on the net achieve it on a Desire, with patching the kernel, so why wouldn't Desire achieve it. I was really excited about this, but now that I've seen this, I'm starting to feel like I just wasted my money (i mean 2 bucks is not much, but whatever ). Did anyone try this out?

Isn't there an app that allows a wireless xbox controller to work on Android?

I don't have the money to buy a wireless controller, and btw sixaxis works only with supported games and emulators. I wanna use joystick center app which allows to map any touch on the screen so I can play anything, or do anything with the controller.

ops, no i'v read wrong i think u wait the cable to put the patch into the phone..
my faut :S

But I don't wanna patch the kernel before I get the cable, maybe it will work from the start without te patch (which is very unlikely to happen ). I need a tip though, when I start flashing the mod, I'll probably do It like this: ill put the zip onto the sd, I'll boot my phone into fastboot, flash boot.img via the Boot.img flasher program, then I'll boot to the recovery from fastboot, and finally flash the zip and reboot. Is this okay? About the flashing program, I don't like to flash the boot.img the old way, it is a lot easier this way.

that´s the matter I also have ...
I don't see the point of android 3.1 on our device atm...
Honeycomb was made keeping tablets in mind, and batery life wasn't given priority over performance and stability...and most honeycomb apps take a two-panelled approach, for which our screen size is too less...so I think it is a bad idea...
Plus, I find the site a LITTLE un-trusty...and I couldn't find the links myself...
So I say, don't take the risk, coz u may hard brick your device...
Well as a.Cid said no use as 4.0 is ported to mini

How do you plan to distribute?
You make a rom, and leave it others to port, or do you make a source and let others do builds?

What device do you have, and what type of device is it (tablet or phone) tablets will (in most cases based on my past development experience with them) require some more time, but if your device has a custom recovery, or a way to flash custom images such as rktool for rk2918 devices, then your good to go dude .!

For one, it will be more ICS based (beyond the extent of a "themed" cm rom because that wouldn't be good enough IMO) so for example, the recent apps carousel, a music app built by us (later release, though), and a lot more. For the sake of the fact that I am on the xda app, it would take forever to type this stuff, but just know that it will be an awesome experience.! ill put out a full features list soon.!

I did some searching beforehand and Ice Cold Jelly is designed for the international (Tegra 3) HOX, not ours...
Charge your phone until it's full...hold power + vol down until it turns on (should take a few seconds), once you see the splash screen let go of power and continue holding vol down until you're in the bootloader.
Edit: Also, if I'm just retarded and don't notice when I'm being trolled, I will jump out my window.

New drivers for Adreno 225 and android 4.2

Hi there,
I present you some new devs toys, the the latest Qualcomm drivers for adreno 2xx and 3xx and as the HTC One S got the 225 and android 4.2, I think it may be useful for some dev to integrate them in their android 4.2 ROM/Kernel (I 'm not a dev I don't know where it's supposed to be).
https://developer.qualcomm.com/mobi...phics-optimization-adreno/tools-and-resources
It has been released the 4th of March 2013
Incase anyone needs to download without signing up..

Better graphics performance in games, better benchmarks. (or maybe no lag or screen tearing in 4.2 ROMs)
Higher version number which is always good!!

Don't think they work just like that...it should be too easy. I've replaced the files in LiquidSmooth 2.0 with the ones from the zip to test....and ended up in a black screen. Had to restore from backup. Could be that other modules or even kernel has to be changed in order to work with the new drivers

Yes. Get the source from Beastmode's Git, fix the problem, and compile your own fixed version. Then push the fix back to his Git.
Barring that, you have 2 options... wait without wifi on JB 4.2 or flash something JB 4.1 or earlier.
