Not sure where to put this post exactly so I decided to put it here. Just like the title says its a s case for the Nexus 4 but its from China so its going to take a little while to get here.

Great case, love it on my phone. And will absolutely take a month I learned first hand,I wouldn't bother ordering and just wait for local options once they arrive.

Usually when I order from China, it takes around 2 weeks for me to get in the mail. I wish manufactures would have made them earlier since all the specs were released...I guess I'll just use some kind of pouch to carry it around till I get something.

Been case and screen protector free on my GNex for almost a year, not a scratch or ding on it.
Next week when my daughter takes it though it will be in a Kraken case

I would pick one up, but I don't want to cover up that sexy back of the nexus 4

I'm probably going to put a full body screen protector and not put on a case though that one looks nice. Just got be extra careful. What would be really cool is if they made a Qi inductive case, that charges your phone, that way you never need to charge your phone.

The Nexus 4 has QI charger built into it. I believe it has a range of 40mm... So unless your case is made of metal you will be okay.

These "S" design back cases are some of the ugliest cases I've seen. Kinda like those clear "Altezza" vehicle tail lights from the early 2000s.

I have to agree. They look really tacky.

For me, I would thank the OP for this. for 4 bucks, I would buy a 'protection' while taking my time to wait for the perfect case...

They aren't beautiful but for the price, consistent design, thinness, and especially the grip edges, there's few competition from getting the most for your dollar perspective.

Gives it some protection, but also keeps the sleekness!

I emailed diztronic about it and they said 0.35mm is too thin and would probably tear

Just received mine in the mail so........Mini review!
Aesthetics:
Its a pretty simple case, not too flashy. The whole case is made of TPU, the back part is matte and while smooth doesn't appear to be too slippery, while the bumper portion fully surrounds the sides of the phone, is fully transparent and has a nice rubbery grippy feel. The nexus 4 back design is not really visible through the back of the case. However, the nexus logo itself can be seen albeit slightly muted. While it does add a little bulk to the phone, its pretty minimal while providing decent protection for day to day use.
Function:
There are appropriate cut-outs for both the and bottom mics, the speaker, the camera and the charging port. The volume and power buttons have these built in pushable sections which protrude slightly outside the case and allow you to press the buttons down. I found that the power button sometimes took a little bit of effort to press, however the volume buttons are perfectly fine. I don't have access to a wireless charger so I can't comment on whether that works or not, but it detects NFC tags just fine.
Protection:
For the front , the added lip should mean that placing your phone face-down will elevate it slightly and provide some protection. The bumper portion provides as good protection as any TPU case around the sides of the phone. The back is also fully covered so this should protect from scratches and minor bumps although I'm not sure how good the drop protection will be (this is obviously not a super heavy duty case).

Anyone have any ideas of what cases are available now-a-days for the touchpad? I have the original HP Custom Fit case but its deforming... I liked the case a lot too . I would like something slim and not bulky. Thanks

I use one from Acase that fits perfectly and looks good.

I've found that a lot of 1st gen iPad cases will work, as the are almost the exact same size. I currently have mine in a portfolio-style Belkin.

I have that case and love it so far. I got it off ebay

I use the official custom-fit case and I love it. Though it seems to start deforming rather quickly

oh good it's not just me. I thought it was because I was putting it in my mini backpack and all the stress the mini backpack was putting on it.
Shame too because I really really love this case I hope more devices get cases like this. maybe the new ones add in some metal wire or something so it doesn't stretch.
mine is mainly warping along the power port, volume keys and microphone port.

I have had the same problem. Has anyone had any luck getting the case un-deformed? Maybe somehow getting it to shrink using heat or another process? I really like the skin case, and can live with it the way it is, but would prefer not to have large gaps by the power and volume, and a hump by the usb port...

Yeah as did mine. I treated it with care too. I don't think it matters how you treat it, the area around the power button is going to go wonky

the official custom hp case is the best one for the pad. though mine not only got deformed, it got REALLY smooth too, compared to my sisters new one

I finally got sick of the deformed case. But I wanted a slim case with flip cover, and all the ones I found bulked it up more than I cared for. So, I made my own out of two cases. I bought the Poetic TPU case off eBay for $6. Then I used a razor blade to remove the flip cover from my deformed OEM case. After failing with Gorilla glue, I found that good old super glue does an excellent job of bonding the cover material to TPU without deforming it. Looks a little rough, think I'll make another. Next time though, I'll bond the cover at top, making it easier to open or close on the touchstone charger.

I have done a little surgery to my original HP case. I cut off the parts that were warping. And actually, it worked out well. But after doing that, I bought a carbon fiber skin and a Touchstone charger and only use the case when I take it out of the house. It feels nice without a case.

The only case I've been able to get to play nice with my touchstone sadly is the stock hp touchpad case.

I didn't watch the video with sound yet... but it doesn't look like a full aluminum case... just a bumper (ie, the back isn't covered) so there should be no signal loss. He also stated there is "doesn't off(er) protection to back & camera.". So I think its just a bumper.
There are other threads that show that you have no issues w/ wireless unless you use an aluminum back.

Yes, you're right. It is a bumper case. I've heard even with the full aluminum cases that you only lose one bar of signal so it still wouldn't be that bad.

Just go on ebay, type in Luxury Aluminum Bumper Galaxy S 4, look for a US seller, and look for an aluminum bumper picture with indents on the side of the case. You'll find it. I highly recommend it too btw. I've been using it for a week and it looks great and feels good in the hand.

After installing it right the second time, it does feel nice and tight. Don't worry I am too . Its like 15 dollars with free shipping. It is totally worth it! It does give the phone a premium feel and look!

Very good review. Couple suggestions... turn off auto-focus on your camera and then pick up a piece of white posterboard stock and a couple of desk lamps at Target or K-Mart. Something along the lines of this. With your existing good narration, your videos will be near pro quality.

Yeah but try using NFC with a full aluminum case. There is a reason Apple makes the top and bottom of the back of the iPhone 5 out of glass. instead of it being edge to edge aluminum on the back. Full aluminum definitely affects reception.

Apple actually puts the bluetooth and wifi radios under the glass pieces on the back panel. So they probably didn't see it as being a good idea to put those under the aluminum as well. An aluminum bumper with a nice glass, polycarbonate back could work well though.

Nexus 6P Card Slot case?

Sorry if this has already been asked, but searching yielded nothing. Anyways, I was curious if anybody has come across a case like this for the Nexus 6P: http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Verus-Damda-Slide-Yellow/dp/B00M9UBR7Y or even one with just a simple pouch on the back that's capable of hanging on to a few cards securely.
The only wallets I can find are the flip cases with a front cover and I just hate those.
