Am i the only one that sees that that isnt a theme? its just a different background and lockscreen wallpaper haha nothing else is changed...

Okay, works well, as far as I can tell.
A bit taken aback by the whole thing, with all apps and everything directly on the desktop, but nothing weird yet, after a few minutes running

That's how MIUI works. I also found it odd when i saw it. But it was very refreshing - having to go to an app draw all the time (even though a lot of people say it is a defining feature of android) is a bit of a pain. Some of my favourite features of MIUI are:
- Having folders on the desktop to organize stuff
- Pressing menu + volume down takes a screenshot
- Holding home opens an integrated task killer and recent apps menu
- Having access to most of the important settings from the bottom of the notification bar (probably my favourite!)

No i meant, the theme is not a theme. This is how miui always looks, of course its different than launcher. im using it as we speak..

Hmmm. Maybe I will put it in the ROM category.
But doesn't a ROM have to be compiled by the user?
I just took the MIUI 0.9.30 base and themed it.
Anyway, tomorrow I'll be releasing a flashable zip with alternative icons (like the ones that you see on the shutdown menu and adjust the volume.
And once I work out where the the boot animation is for this ROM, I'll post some other flashable ones.
Also! As much as I like the look with the MIUI notification icons, they are fairly boring. If anyone knows of a theme with icons that would look good in this ROM, let me know and ill port them across.

I think I found one bug.
When I try to rename a contact I get a force close error "android.process.acore". No other bugs so far, except that the folder opening animation isn't very smooth on my device.

I think you can put it in the rom category, you have only to give credit and everything is ok.

Now I'm getting some force closes while surfing on the market "Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly". Though nothing actually happens.
It seems to happen when I'm trying to purcahse something from the market. I get the error and then it freezes at "Authorizing purchase".
EDIT: After rebooting I'm getting this error constantly even on homescreen :I
EDIT2: The error stopped after canceling the purchases on Market. So can anyone else purchase something on the market?
EDIT3: I can't download or update any other application either. Free or paid. And after every reboot I get the force close message about five times.

[APP] [QUESTION] Issue with CM7 and Beautiful/Fancy Widgets

So, I'm a big fan of the apps Beautiful Widgets and Fancy Widgets...but the silly things will not work with CM7. Is there a setting that I'm missing, or something I'm not doing right?
If these just will not work at all, are there any valid replacements? I search and search on the forums, but I can't seem to find a solution. Any help on the matter is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Im using the MIUI themed Fancy Widget on CM7 just fine.. I'll download and try beautiful widgets as well just to check. Have you went to settings->applications->the app name->clear data?

Try un installing/ re installing? I run BW every day on CM7 no issues... also try clockworkmod and fix permissions... that mostly makes all crazy stuff better

Ok, so I've gotten the clock part working... had to fix permissions in Clockwork (thank you ibcenu), but now it's not displaying the weather portion. It tells me I'm in an unknown location - maybe it's because of a gps issue, I'm just not sure... I can use the new Superclock and display my battery, but I'd rather see what the weather's doing instead.

Yeah just go to configure the beautiful widget and set location it should work fine

and make sure it is NOT on your SD card..it has to be on the phone to work right...

this is the reason i dont use clockwork or rom manager !!!

My weather wont display when I choose Google as my provider (Fancy Widget Pro). I have to select Weather.com, or whatever it is.

[Q] Change Android default lockscreen (apk)

another question again..
Is there a way to create like a standard lockscreen, which doesn't lag like the HTC one?
I removed (flashed a nosense rom) and have the aosp lockscreen, is it possible to have a default lockscreen that kind of overwrites the aosp?
(when using sense and installing a different lockscreen there's always a struggle, and there is aswell with the aosp)
Just because HTC is using a simple apk as well.. or at least it looks that way

Is WidgetLocker what you're looking for or is that big/feature-filled for you?
WL's been great except for the times where it glitches from that 5-second thing but that goes away if you root (which I havent' done yet)

I tried widgetlocker before, when I had the sense still on. Haven't tried it yet.. but I have a great lockscreen, but it just lags sometimes (seeing the aosp one) and with the htc one it did only see that one..

[Q] ROM/Theme Question

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a rom that combines the following:
-Sense ROM (beacause of the multitouch issue in cm/aokp roms)
-Black Settings Theme (the white one in sense 4.0 kills me at night )
-cm9/stock android keyboard
-cm9 quick toogles in the notification bar
But i guess there is no ROM that fulfills my wishes, so does anyone know a theme or a mod that could help me?
Or can i somehow change the keyboard or the settings theme myself?
I'm currently running LeeDroid. (also tried cm9 alpha, aokp, miui, but they all have the multitouch problem)

Have you tried Trickdroid?

I havent tried it yet, but how would that solve my problems?
As far as I can see, there isn't much difference to LeeDroid.

Sounds like Leedroid and Trickdroid would be the best fit for you. Trickdroid is a stock ROM with a tweak package similar to what is in Leedroid (you can pick and choose what to install). The only thing you'd really be missing would be the cm9/stock keyboard, but isn't that just a simple apk install?

yeah, i got the keyboard from playstore.
But the thing I'm missing most, is the black settings theme. But I think only the aokp based roms got that.
I't would be really nice to have a aokp theme for sense roms.
But I guess I can live with LeeDroid until the cm9 developers get the multitouch issue fixed.

Leedroid with sommer breeze them. Maybe with a couple of aosp inverted apps. I'm using all of this. Also love black on the amoled screen.

Razr circles widget

I wanted to have this beautiful circles widget, and I found this information .
I was running vipers 3.1.2 ROM, but it did not work on it: the widget glitched randomly, the video player also, the alarm did not open when tapping on the left circle,... Then I tried on Carbon Rom, and also Codename Lungo. The screens glitchered (see screenshot 1 corresponding to carbon rom)
Finally I decided today to follow the recommendation and installed CM 9.1 stable. This time, it works 100% (so far)! See screenshot.
However, if anybody has been able to make this widget run 100% on another Rom, any comment would be apreciated.

You can use Rings Digital Weather Clock from PlayStore. It works fine with Carbon ROM.
If you don't mind installing a new launcher there are several of them arround in here with the widget included.

Do you mean that there are several launchers with the razr widget included, or the digital weather one? In case you mean there are several launchers where the razr original circles widget runs, please tell me which. I understood that this widget runs only with the original Motorola launcher.

Circles widget not stable with Albinoman CM10.1 rom
I had to move from stable CM9.1 Rom because of Bluetooth issues: kernel wakelock msm_serial_hs_dma persistent (drains battery), and also sound with BT headsets with interruptions.
I have installed Albinoman cm10.1 rom, but I have come back to previous issues: widget not stable, glitchy, and so on... I have followed step by step the instructions here.
If somebody has a trick to make them work 100% on any rom, or is using another rom with this widget 100% running, please advise.
