[Q] Password protection - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have had an AT&T Note One for some time and decided to try a Note 10.1. When I went in to set it up and password protect it, I discovered that it requires you to encrypt your data first, to password it. I do not want to encrypt my data! I can see on the XDA forums and on others that there can be a lot of potential problems when encrypting data. Is there any way of password protecting my tablet without encrypting it? I am willing to root it if necessary

[Q] Android Encryption Problem

I have a phone that I use for corporate purposes so there is a password requirement for each wakescreen.
This is obviously absurd, so I used Xposed module to "nuke" the password. The coorporate app still thinks there's a password and I've never lost my phone, so that's good.
However one shortcoming of this is, if on the off chance I do lose my phone, using Prey, or Android Device manager, I cannot "lock" the phone, because the xposed module takes it out.
I'd like to do the full encryption, still keep the password "nuked", but somehow be able to reactivate the lock, or at the very least shutdown the phone remotely in case I do lose it, when it comes back on the password will be active.
I could perhaps use tasker to accomplish this, but it's a bit tricky.
TlL;dr
Password Lock must think it's on, but not. (so corporate app doesn't boot me out)
Phone must be able to be remotely locked - or turned off.
The Cerberus App, does exactly what is needed, including full wipe, reboot, etc.

Full device encryption on mobile devices is useless for several reasons:

Not offered fingerprint access

My Galaxy Tab S2 no longer offers fingerprint access on my owner user. I eventually recalled the backup password and changed the password to one I could remember easily.
Now I cannot remember the easy password, one of the set I use frequently.
I must have made a systematic error typing it. Is there a way to re-enable fingerprint access on my userid?

Question Remove lost pin lock

Hi guys.
Helping a friend out here and since i've not been using a Samsung since my Note 4 era, i've kinda lost my knowledge regarding Samsung programs.
So she has forgot the PIN lock and the phone are now locked (well it still aks for the Pin lock). The last resort is to just wipe the damn phone, but as we all know, not everyone use the cloud so all the pictures are stored at the internal memory.
Any ideas if this is possible without USB debug beeing enabled?
If she can access using her Samsung or Google account maybe... not sure.
I never set passwords for device or bios access because you are the most likely to get locked out. Maybe through no fault of your own like if the password goes corrupted. It happens.
She will lose all data if she can't gain password access because the device's data is encrypted.
In the future she needs to redundantly backup critical data to at least two hdds that are physically and electronically isolated from each other and the PC. Some lessons you learn the hard way... been there, done that

Screenlock samsung

Hi bros
Is there a way to bypass screenlock or pattern on samsung phones without loose data ?
Example g930f U8 frp on oem on
But i can't loose data
Any factory reset will cause complete user data lose.
I know
I don't want make factory reset
Then you need to remember the code or use your Samsung or Google account to regain access.
That's it as far as I know. A data recovery specialist -might- be able too but it's not easy or cheap.
I never set a lock screen, bios password etc and redundantly backup critical data to multiple hdds because of this. I never encrypt backup data drives. If you don't plan ahead properly it's only a matter of time until you lose critical data.
