The One S is in the list!
Discuss..
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
Mmhh, what do we need? An app from Play Store, a flash.zip, OTA from HTC?
From what I understood, its already integrated in the Power Management Integrated Circuit...
Its been there, announced now...

Yeah, I believe it's been there the whole time. My One S has always charged up insanely quick!

I've read about it too.
We don't need an app or something like that.
We've used the feature all the time
I always wondered why my phone is charging so fast, but now it makes sense

Yeah, that explains a lot.... Although I must say, my moms Xperia P also charges insanely fast - almost faster than my HOS, but its not listed on that site... Wonder why that pile of junk is charging so fast..

Dunno bout the Xperia P... It uses the NovaThor chipset unlike ours which uses Qualcomm... This list is of the qcomm devices n hence wont include the XP..
On a side note, the NovaThor chipsets are supposedly said to be power efficient n hence that might be the reason behind faster charging?
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
Oh, I thought the P used qualcomm as well... Ah well, not that I care, its slow as hell compared to our S anyway
Guys, how long does it take for your HOS to charge from 0 to 100%? I timed mine and it became fully charged exactly after 3 hrs and 15 mins..

2.5-3h from 10% to 100%. I never let my hos run out of juice. Its like begging for a softbrick.

So 3 hrs is quite normal.. well i'm only doing the full drain to full charge atleast once a month, is it bad?
Sent from my HTC One S4 using xda-developers app
Yes, thats bad. The S is famous for not wanting to boot once the battery goes flat. Ive experienced it twice myself, resulting in having to fastboot flash the boot.img before the device started again.
Others have experienced similar, but not identical, issues.
The type if issue varies, but we can be quite sure of one thing - letting the battery run flat on the S is a bad idea.
And in general, letting a battery go flat isnt healthy. Its more healthy to start charging it when it hits 10-5% than when it hits 0% and shuts off.
AW: Quick Charge 1.0 by Qualcomm
Nope, thats perfect! Charging when ever it is possible and one charging in month from 20%-30% to full.

mine does charge in about 3 hours too. but i found it very slow? my old phone, galaxy s 1, with a bigger battery ( bought one from ebay with 1800 mah ) charged twice as fast. from 10% to 100% in about 1,5 hrs, even with original 1500mah battery it was that fast ... without that great " quickcharge " feature from qualcom. just wondering why everybody says 3 hours is fast. even a big test site here in germany ( www.chip.de ) said that the hos charge time is slow.
just saying
It take 4 hours to full charge (10% ->100%)
Using Venom 2.0
I have a friend who charge his iphone 4s from 0% to 100% in about 1,7- 2 hours. 3 hours is normal in my opinion. Not so fast

I agree please keep us posted… Thanks !
*Looks* like it may hold about as much as an Anker.
If it fits under the stock back cover............
There's no way that's a 2800mah battery. Do a couple test and see what the deal is, but it is definitely somewhere around 1500-1800mah.
works really good i bought it over on ebay it does wat it says for real i get through the whole day without a prob with modrate use aday and couple of hours i had the package where i get 2 batt which really is a great deal for 15$ better way bettter then stock batt i recommend iit to all fellow xda and ppl that looking at this post to buy it but be sure it have 2 batt and wall charger its rally handy product rating from me 4.5 out 5

I think this is the most useful answer in this thread. Is the initial charge the same as a normal charge or do we need to lose charging for like 14hrs?
When I first got mine the initial charge was over 2 hours and I didn't even turn it on until it was finished charging.

Just an FYI, the initial battery life (like the first few charges) will be abysmal, don't judge the phone based on that. Give it like 3-4 charges and you will see your battery life improve tremendously.
Disclaimer: This method may have been due to the fact that my device or digitizer (I'll explain further) was damaged or I had a lemon. But here is my story:
- Sold an unlocked 4S for $450
- Wanted to try out Android and hate Sammy devices...
- Decided to give HTC One X a try
- Didn't have an upgrade so had to buy an unlocked international version because it released earlier.
With my international HTC One X from Malaysia, I would barely squeeze out 2hrs of screen time, and would have to charge my device 2-3x a day, and have yellow light leakage and spots around the screen. The device would get hot and had screen flexing and sensitivity issues. Right out of the box it was glitchy and the OTA's didnt solve much. I went from ROM to ROM to ROM and battery saving apps to CPU controls for a solution. I would literally drop 2-3% every minute, and sometimes in a matter of 5 mins I would drop 8% battery. I did the built in Battery test and would get 90% after an hour and it would say batter health = good. All of this to no avail, I WAS FED UP!
I was sick of it and found someone who wanted an International One X and had an AT&T One X. He knew about the battery and screen issues but decided to trade anyway.
BOY OH BOY! The difference is night and day. It's been a few days and I have never been happier with a phone. I get close to 4 hrs of screen time on the same level of usage on one charge. 3-4 hrs of music, 1 hr web browsing, texting and phone calls all day, facebook/twitter 2-3 hrs. No heat issues and no dropoff in performance even with just 2 cores. NO LAG or random reboots at all. If anything the device feels faster! While in hoboken/nyc the other day I got 4G LTE (since AT&T doesnt have LTE all over jersey yet) and it was freaking amazing. Close to the speeds I get with my FiOS connection at home.
Anything with Nvidia in it or on it I've ever owned so far has been faulty and been a nightmare. Idk if its just my badluck or coincidence.
But thats my story. I talked to my engineer buddy and he said my phone deff had a bad digitizer/screen that was eating the battery unnecessarily.
Anyone with their thoughts?
Yea S4 is more power efficient than Tegra 3 the only thing it bests the S4 is in its graphical capabilities

This is awesome to hear. At first I was bummed they changed the processor but this story exemplifies why.
The only other gripe I have about AT&T's decision making is the storage. But what can you do? I don't listen to all of my music anyways.
Not to mention the wifi (squeeze test) crap.
Glad we have the less problem ridden version here.
I've never been happier with a phone.

I made the switch just as you did because battery life was terrible on the Tegra 3, due to a VERY outdated kernel and 40 nm?? whereas I believe the Snapdragon S4 is at 28 nm and a more recent kernel. That really does make a huge difference. I usually just text, fb, and browse the web and with auto-brightness, auto-sync and widgets on I get ~ 4 hours of use whereas on the Tegra 3 I got about < 2 hours. I was just as fed up and disappointed as you were.
Re: battery, I will say this:
Only charge it on the charger it came with. Charged it s couple time on my Touchpad charger, and while it appears to charge up faster, the battery will "drain" faster.
I haven't even opened the charger it came with >_<
The S4 is pretty superior in every single way besides gaming, but even then the S4 is pretty damn awesome haha.
Glad to see you are enjoying it.

Not sure I understand how that would be possible. If the battery is fully charged why would it drain any faster if it was charged by a different charging method?

My perception just from observing the international One X forum, is that the Tegra 3 SoC on the international versions is glitchy as hell, causing various serious issues, and that NVIDIA is notorious for being slow to fix these sorts of bugs.

I have been getting 4 hours of screen time since I got my one X on Saturday. Pretty consistently actually. Usually right at 4 and a half. I use it sporadically at work, usually 2 hours worth by the end of the day.
Then when I get home I do pretty much the same thing, I browse XDA while I wait for games to load on PS3 or Vita.
I do not stream music or anything.
Sync files with dropbox.
Wifi typically on.
Screen with auto brightness enabled.
Minimal game play (I have a PS Vita for that but I occasionally succumb to Words or Temple Run)
My idle time can go up pretty high if I so choose but I will only get the 4.5 hour screen time on auto. Which is good for me since that's what I got on my Atrix with the brightness at minimum most of the time

Hard to say what screen on time I get at the mo cuz the one mini don't log this from what I can see, but with other battery tester apps I've used I get on average 4 and half hours. I'm a HEAVY user, and on a full charge my phone lasts from when I unplug it in the morning to almost bed time. So good enough for me. But I still bought an Anker battery pack for those extra long days, which works great with this phone. I used to own a Samsung Galaxy S1 which didn't last as long even though it has a smaller screen and lower specs.

Impact on Battery Life with Quickcharge
I have not experienced any Battery Problems jet and i'm charging it every night and my Battery is fine.
quick charger is in the box still. I use what was a Blackberry tablet charger 1.8A with fixed 6ft MicroUSB cable attached. I charge every night and after the first couple days where I was using it constantly I've made it every day without having to charge up. 15-16 hours with more to go before hitting the sack. I always charge when sleeping.

I know a lot of people are getting below average battery life but in my case I'm very impressed with the battery life. I had my first S6 which was decent in battery life for a month, then I switched to the LG G4 for a couple of weeks and now I'm back on the S6. Battery life has really impressed me granted I'm rooted and running a custom rom.

Running rooted stock on ATT, Google Now and location history off, location set to GPS only, I typically get 16-18 hours off charger with 3.5-4 hours screen on. Mostly Facebook/browsing/forums/g+. No gaming.
just as 1st reply...
yes
I'm getting a minimum of 5 Hours screen on time over 48 hour period and around 5.5 to 6 over 24 hours. Quickcharge just means I won't be caught short if i'm using GPS a lot.
I am still testing differences between regular Samsung charger and the quick one ... And for now I think if you charge your phone over night with the regular Samsung charger it gets a bit better ... But I still need more time to come to dome conclusive answers ...

For me it seems to as I don't think there's any problem with the battery on my S6. I always have portable battery packs with me, but I LOVE the rapid charger, it's one of my favourite features. I love getting up seeing my phone at like 15% because I forgot to charge it and thinking crap have to go to work in 20 mins, and being able to plug it in and have it be at like 50% in such a short time period. I find it good enough that it's the only charger I use and make sure I don't lose it!
