I'll have to check again, but yes, I believe you to be correct. What about PA 2.54? Except for notif weather. Which means having to use Notification weather app. Too large in tray, imo, and I loathe using extra apps just for one or two features not present in the rom. Day by day, I want to build my own from base up.
*Edit* black bean 6, and I apologize for previous reply. Slow days at work drive me nuts.

[ROM] [4.1.1] OFFICIAL codefireX Jellybean Nightlies

These are official codefireX JellyBean Nightlies brought to you by Synergy(e) and TeamCodefire. These use official CM device repos and are built from source nightly. THIS MEANS IT HAS ANY BUGS THE CM10 NIGHTLIES HAVE.
codefireX is a CM10 spinoff with the goal of providing additional power-user features (contained in the codefireX settings panel) while still maintaining full upstream CM compatibility for automated CM merges daily for the nightlies. This means the nightlies are fully up to date with the CM10 nightlies, however you get additional features as well. The codefireX settings panel will become more populated with features as this project progresses, and more device nightlies will also be added.
The codefireX github is HERE. Changelogs are not available, however you may use github (always current). The maintainer for this will not respond to questions on this thread, so please help your fellow android user out or visit twitter/IRC

[Q] I'm looking for a new ROM but...

...but I have few problem to chose one!!!
Actually I have an old Rom named Pixel ROM 1.72. Do you remember it?
I like this rom because is simple and fast and I'm looking for something like it.
I really like to try a Rom based on Jelly Bean but I fear to severely slow down my terminal,
and I have to use it also for my job...
If anyone have a suggestion...

You should really try the incredible JellyShot v0.5.2. It's JB 4.2.1, the most recent android ever. Google will not officialy release it for Nexus S, but this version is absolutely incredible! No kidding.
Slimbean is ok, but gets buggy along the way.
Bugless Beast is good, but a little outdated
Cyanogen 10 was not good for my battery and I thought it had too many fireworks, I like simple stuff.
Download JellyShot.
Just follow the instructions. I'm using Marmite v 1.7.5 (plain not the CM)
I use the one at column C5, is working great, no lag, no nothing just incredibleness!!
Look in search, it's my first post, so I can't post urls yet...
Cheers from sunny Brasil!
sorry for late response..
the name version v3.1 it's not related to android version is still jb 4.1.2
but as former stated I've tried jellyshot v0.3 and 0.5 now... WOW amazing fast!!!
not so minimal as slim ones but my Nexus seem to be supercharged now..(not related to zeppelinrox scripts!!)

[Q] best AOSP ROM for this phone?

I've been running CarbonROM (03/16 nightly) and as much as I love it, I always seem to see issues with it with the screen freezing to the point where I have to pull the battery to fix it.
Can anyone recommend an AOSP ROM that is extremely reliable?

That is a small issue, but it's not that bad by any means. I just don't like Touchwiz being all bloated. Lol

KT's kernel always caused random reboots for sure. Any build wouldn't be any different. Anyways, I'm enjoying the 16th right now. But if it keeps freezing, then I'll try the 15th.

I cant stand bloat either but with kids I have to be able to hear the voices and or singing. Aosp video is near silent except for when I talk lol.

Which MR build would you recommend?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
The most stable ROMs I have found are clean rom for TW. Scott UK so always one of the first to update to new builds. As far as AOSP, I really like Liquid Smooth. Really quick, light weight and one of the few 4.2.2 ROMs with the ability to save pics directly to the SD card, which for me is a deal breaker if not included.

I know about CleanROM (and have it backed up). I don't like liquid because of the use of nova launcher. Call me picky, but I prefer having an independent launcher over NOVA, which I can just download anyday.

If you are looking for stable and reliable avoid nightlies. I have found slim rom, rootbox, carbon and liquid to all be extremely stable if you stick to their "stable" releases. The nightlies will give you cutting edge features but those features will introduce bugs and quirks as well.
For me, every time I get off Slim I end up back on it within a week. Love it.

I've tried Slim and I just don't really like it as much as Carbon or Liquid. Right now, Liquid is the best ROM I've ever used followed by AOKP. Carbon's stables still have rebooting issues (haven't rebooted once on Liquid yet and I've ran it for 2 days now).

I use sense rom because of user interface mainly and i cant complain about performance either. It's just for a while, i flash every new rom for one mini that comes to the forum, but since i am pretty satisfied with this i am using, i wouldnt change to pacman just for experimenting, so i wonder if u can tell me is it good and what are some adventages comparing to clean cm11?
