the menu keeps popping up erratically and spontaneously, sometimes it does it a few times then stop then few minutes later it just goes on a spree, so everytime i try to do something the menu pop brings me back to the home screen and exits out whatever im doing and its annoying. At first i thought it was a software bug so i updated 2.3.4, so then I flash it to cm 7, and the same thing is still happening
is there a way to disable the menu button on the g2x?

I am getting the phone just goes black sometimes when I close the keyboard, the only way to recover is to turn off the phone,

It's really a weird bug, but all you have to do is open up the keyboard again and switch to the home screen. Once it loads, switch back.
My guess, some weird background home screen switch processing crap.
Just installed kitkat 4.4.4 using touchpad toolbox a couple of days ago. Been having problems with loading pages . pages start to load and just get about halfway and freeze. Then must clear page and start over.
Also having problem with sleep mode. If i just tap the power button to leave in sleep mode it will after a short time completely shut down. Forcing me to hold the ppwer and home buttons down till it booots up.
Also unchecked box for keyboard sound, but still making that stupid clicking when I tap keys.
The sleep mode problem and the keyboard problem started the second day of use. Not at first.
Should i try to re install it? Or try another build?

Hi - I have tried multiple Lollipop based ROMs on my OPO. All the Lollipop ROMs have exhibited the same failure on my OPO: When the phone wakes up, I will randomly see a totally black - and basically unusable - desktop, but have a fully working Status Bar and working pull-down Navigation Bar. Holding the power button also brings up the shut-down options. so, I know that my phone isn't dead or frozen, I just can't see anything on my desktop. If I press the power button momentarily to lock the phone, I will see the unlock 3x3 pattern grid when I power on, and I can unlock the phone - but, I see a black desktop.
I recently loaded the official CM12 nightlies, and I am seeing the exact same thing. One thing I have finally determined (which I suspected previously), is that there was some sort of App crash during the phone sleep that had a pop-up message on the screen when the phone woke up. After a lot of random finger mashing and loud screaming at the phone, I saw my desktop again, and saw that "Google App" had crashed. After clearing the error pop-up, my phone has worked fine without rebooting ... for now.
The problem with this is that the black desktops become more frequent as time progressed, eventually reaching the point where I would reboot my OPO and it would power up to a black desktop. In the past, I occasionally saw a flash that looked like a pop-up message before the black desktop, and now I have confirmed that is what is happening.
Does anybody know what is going on?
The problem can be the gapps package you're flashing. Try another one.

I'm having an issue with my Nexus 5 after the 5.0 updates. I'm currently on 5.0.1 but had the same issue with 5.0. My device is completely stock. Just never felt like doing anything to the nexus 5. First phone I decided not to root. The issue i'm having is that every once in a while during a day I will try to turn on my phone to view any notifications or just refresh some news sites. Instead of getting the lock screen and hearing the unlock click to slide, i'm taking right to the home screen bypassing the slide to unlock. All applications at this point will glitch. For example, if i open hangouts, it will open but be blank. Spotify might open, or just be a dark gray screen. Other apps just behave very strangely. If I try to press the home button, it lights up and won't do anything. If i press the multi-task button it looks like it will show the running apps but then just shows a blank screen. If I press the back button many times, it takes me back to the home screen which might or might not be blank. The only way around this is to reboot my phone. But this is happening a few times a day. Often, i'll also see the home button and multi task button disappear. I've taken two screen shots of what it looks like. Has anyone ever seen this issue? I don't mind downgrading back to 4.x or rooting for a custom rom if that will resolve this glitch. I can also provide a list of installed apps if anyone wants to know. So what do you guys think of this?
I factory reset my phone and during the process of signing in, agreeing to T&C's etc, a strange problem started occurring - the touchscreen became super unresponsive (had to press something three of five times for it to respond), however, at the same time, the phone would quickly vibrate on touch multiple times, but again, not actually do anything. Moreover, a weird blue text box started appearing around the options I touched and I can't swipe down to access the normal settings menu.
And to top it all off, if I long hold the power button to force restart/power off, it just won't do it. (tried the old "turn it off and on" trick to see it'll do the trick)
Everything was all normal until this point, had my phone for a couple of months, haven't dropped it or anything. Does anyone know why this is happening, and if so, how to fix this?

In fact, I can't swipe at all ... in the app drawer if I swipe, it just goes to the next app , instead of the next screen.
