I bought an Andorid media player. It isin't very clear who made it. It has a kingzer case but cannot find the case or any info on it on their website. I want to be able to unroot it it came rooted. I want to be able to use my media applications like flixster which is one of the reasons I upgraded to an android media player from my old mkv sumvision enclosre media player. So I could use apps. Iv used an app called Android System Info to get my stats to best try get some help. I would post a picture of the box but I am a new user so cannot post images or links.

Any idea on what rom upgrade I can use on this device. It is rooted, but as with all Android devices the manufacturers are not great at upgrading their OS.
The version 4.2.2 is an issue for me playing video at 720p or higher and feel I will get better support from 4.4 or above.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, a couple of yeas ago, I bought a Note 2 from craigslist then later found it was a fake. It was the same size, and model #, but I then started finding fake stuff. Stylus was fake. Screen size was off, cell signal stopped working, etc. It's running android 4.1.1. (baseband version MAUI.11AMD.W12.22.SP.V7.P3,2012/12/27 11:22). AnTuTu Benchmark was preinstalled with fake specs. So, I can't trust any specs I see in Settings, my guess it's some Chinese phone disguised as Note 2.
So, How can I identify the exact specs of the phone in hope that I can install a new ROM or cyanogenmod on it.
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry you got duped buddy. Unfortunately, if it's a fake phone and a generic vendor. it may be difficult to find out which device model it is, and even if you do, getting a custom ROM for it like CM is a very VERY remote possibility, unless you're willing to learn and cook one for yourself.
You can try to install official Antutu from play store, or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Bfield.CpuIdentifier
or
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.curvefish.apps.deviceinfo&hl=en
These are Play Store apps that may help you identify your device or at least its innards.

That answers your question about identifying the specs. Whatever device you have, is certainly not on the supported list of CyanogenMod, or other popular custom ROMs.

I have Android head unit i bought off ebay it works but i need to know more and what i can do with it i tried to install viper4android from an apk i got this site says it cant because its not rooted it wont find the driver im going nuts.

Your head unit should be a 8227L model
You need to root.
Find information about your model on the Android Auto forum or on the net, for ex.

Always check if the instructions provided are compatible with your Android version 9.1.
BTW, your unit is not an MTCD/E model, so look in the general head unit forum section.
