[Q] Which Kernel with CyanogenMod 9.0.0 - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys,
my question is related to my LG Optimus 2x/Speed's custom ROM. It's an unofficial CM9 ROM by MrHyde (?). I don't remember its full name. The Kernel is described as "3.0.33-NovaKernel-ICS-1.0-6". The Android-Version is "4.0.4". The CyanogenMod-Version is "9.0.0-RC0-p990-UNOFFICIAL". My question is: which Bootloader am I using at the moment and will I be able to install a new custom CM10 without hard- or software problems? (Mivv's CM10.1 would have been my choice) There's a ICS-Bootloader requiered and because I'm actually using ICS I might have it in use!??
Thank you!
Best regards
Lauch
Edit: Is the mnt/sdcard/ folder the one for my external SD card only? Is it possible to install the ROM inapp with CWM?

Root and Rom LG P500

Hi!
I've got LG Optimus one P500.
My Android Version Is 2.2.1
I want to Root my phone and to install ROM on it.
Someone can give me a guide to rooting?
And what rom i the best/you think is the best?
thank you
Look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10350262
The first link shows you Z4Root (I think). Download and root. Then install ROm Manager and flash recovery
The best ROM for you would be Oxygen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18890103
Flash via recovery
And say thanks to me

There is no such thing as the best rom. It depends on user preference. I would suggest CM7 though. (Lots of features that stock rom doesn't have)

OK. I understood the rooting process.
But i have a few question about ROM:
1) CM7 will work on android 2.2.1? can i get a post of this ROM?
2) About the language: The ROM includes all languages?
CM is a replacement for 2.2.1!

[Q] Help Please! SGS2 - ROM - UHLPG

Hey guys, sorry but I cannot seem to find any information on this.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, i9100, and I want to root it.
The problem I am having is that I am a [noob] yes I admitted it, but I cannot seem to find the ROM for my device.
I attached a screenshot of my device's about section.
Now I know that the steps are to use ODIN, and then download a CF root, but I can't seem to find my ROM. I am from an island called Trinidad & Tobago (Caribbean) and I have updated my device to ICS.
Can anyone please explain to me, what the hell do I have to do to root this device? I want to install a custom rom, if anyone can vouch for a nice smooth rom that looks great!
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

This method needs to have an external card to your sii. Put the files both in external and internal card too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719

Now if u want to install a custom rom install first a custom kernel for samsung ics 4.0.3 (not aokp aosp) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702166 and after install rom. U can do this using the temporary cwm u downloaded before. Is the safest way this because custom kernels had injected cwm and not using temporary cwm. Read well the instructions of the developer before installing , also check before installing a custom rom if it has a safe kernel because excists a brick bug at samsung roms 4.0.4 and +.

HTC One X

Hi guys.
I'm currently running Android revolution on my HTC One X. I want to upgrade to either a kitkat or lollipop based rom, but i understand i need a new recovery (SELinux). I have tried installing such roms as slimkat 9.0 and crDroid 5.0.2. I'm having trouble flashing CWM`s latest recovery to my phone using the fastboot option and cant seem to find a zip file of it, only the image, so using update.zip isn`t a option at the moment. If any one would take the time to help me on this it would be appriciated.
Also i have been looking into developing my own rom, again based on kitkat or lollipop. I am wondering if i`d have to base the rom on a recovery that again requires SELinux support, or if i could base it on a older recovery?
I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong place.
Again any help is greatly welcomed

[Q] Tab 7.7", Best Custom Rom that works with CWM. .....?

Can somebody please suggest on what's the best ROM available. My Tab is 3G and Wifi.
Thank you.

Daniel`s Carbon Rom 4.4.4 is for me the most stable. Although the latest CM12.1 I just installed seems awesome.
Oups, sorry I did not read the title.
To install the best available ROM, you need to install TWRP 2.8.3.1 - p6800 as described in Android Development subforum
Guys, I need some FAQ pn my P6800. I did install some custom ROMs - now have CM12.1 from Daniel. For some reason all of custom roms were (and are) really unstable (frequent reboots, long lasting lags). Compared to stock icecream sandwitch all of them were worse I read some feedbacks and assume that it is my specific issue. So I would like to doublecheck if I do everything right. I have one latest TW recovery, wipe everything and just install the rom from zip. There is no need to flash a dedicated file for kernel (like they have it in sony devices), or something like that, correct?
