[Discussion] Google Now for ICS

Hello there
I have been trying to get Google Now for ICS by using this guide:

And it works properly but there is a problem with voice search. When I say "How tall is Barack Obama?" I get an error message "Google can't be reached right now" or something, then I hit "Try again" and it works 100%..
So we can put our minds together to get this to work, who's with me?

[MOD] [DEVs ONLY] Blocking Mode

Blocking Mode - ported to our Verizon VRBMF1 base applications.
Modified Applications:
ClockPackage.apk - com/sec/android/app/clockpackage/alarm/Alarms.smali
SecPhone.apk - com/android/phone/PhoneFeature.smali
SecSettings.apk - res/values/bools.xml
SecContacts.apk -
com/android/contacts/list/ContactsIntentResolver.smali
com/sec/android/app/contacts/interaction/InteractionTabActivity.smali

yes it does.
I do not provide the lidroid toggle though, so you're on your own about how you access it (this will help though). I may provide an updated file with the lidroid toggle MOD but that would come later.
this is more for DEVs

I flashed this mod, so I can now block people from the settings menus right? Or will I need to use Lidroid toggles to do that?

lidroid toggles or the site i posted above show another way to add a shortcut

Will this block calls that come in with no number. The caller ID always says "Unknown"

If you set it to block all calls yes. If you use the call message block in settings though you can block unknown calls. It blocks them without showing you the call unlike blocking mode

Navigation Bar in CM10.1

Hi, I wanted this from long time and finally i found this, if you want a feel of Google nexus like feel (nev bar -- actually it is very very useful for multitasking) follow below steps .
(take backup for sefty)
To Enable the Navigation Bar :
1) Open build.prop (located at /system/build.prop) and add this to the end:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
2) take a reboot
wooow it's done enjoy ...
press thank if it helped you.

On the top right side of page, there is a symbol of exclamation mark (in orange colour) alongside twitter,facebook and google+ symbol. you can report by pressing 'exclamation mark' symbol.

I couldnt get it to work for me, but perhaps I was doing it wrong.
I'm still a newbie at all of this, but I was successfully able to use this method on the previous versions out...

rdlv works just make sure you install cygwin

Designgears won't re-open (U)RDLV as he sold his Note 3 and got a Nexus 5.
Your best bet is RavenY2K3 as he tries to publish a modified version of URDLV and is still waiting for Designgears permission to do so.

What works on 9005 lte 32gb with provider lock?

I'm gonna upload it when I get home from work, I've not had any reply yet but, it's in the interests of the community that it goes live again.
I'm no developer in the slightest, but it's working and it does the job very nicely. If anyone is interested to try it out before I create the thread let me know and I'll forward it on.

Edit: You're a mod, don't your messages go through regardless of what the PM permissions are set to?
I've tried PM'ing and opened a thread with him tagged, I don't know what else other than hunting him down I can do?

If you have attempted to contact him and have not gotten a reply, then your best bet is to leave it alone. There may be reasons that you are unaware of that he doesnt want it re-opened.

I hear you, honestly I do. But surely the fact this is an online community to help one another, is just being kicked in the nuts over something small?

Take a look over the rules. Using the work of others without permission is against the rules. IF you remake it with the same coding you are still using their work. Now DG pops in from time to time but doesnt spend alot of time on XDA. If he sees it he will respond. Until then I would look at other options.

Theres three permissions required for this app. It requires unlimited access to Internet and ability to prevent phone from sleeping. The original freeapp had no permissions. Someone please explain why the OP'S apk link is different. Not installing this. Beware.
